“Drinks are on par with the price. Great spot to get your evening started. When it gets crowded, it’s especially loud and the hifi acoustic setup amplify the chatter mixed with the music. It can be a little cacophonous for someone sensitive to sound or have a hard time tuning into one thing at a time.

“I was there last Monday with a friend. We were not drinking and we had a couple of sales and sides. Food was just okay, nothing special. But probably because we didn’t order anything special. Service was quite slow after they dropped the food. It took us a while just to get their attention for follow ups, and for the check it took quite a bit, then they made a mistake with our cards. The atmosphere is nice, and in a good location, and they seemed to have a lot of good cocktail options, but we were just not drinking that night. It felt slightly expensive for what we had.“

“We've been here ~6-7 times in the last year. They make fantastic cocktails & the food is surprisingly good, but service is often very slow.

The drink menu is fun & tropical leaning but with some drinks that pack a serious punch. If you don't like what you see, they'll make anything you want & they'll do a great job!

I wish the menu would shift a little bit - I don't think it's changed since the first time we visisted.

It can be hard to get your order in & even if standing waiting for awhile, it'll often to awhile to get the attention of the bartender. This hasn't been isolated to a single bartender, it's just kind of the general experience.

The French onion soup honestly was the best thing we tried. I ordered the paella. The house made chorizo stole the show here.

The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because it took a little while to get our second round of drinks. Aside from that, everything else was fantastic!

The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was the perfect way to unwind after spending the day exploring the city. Great vibes, great food, and an overall enjoyable dining experience. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a place to relax and enjoy a good meal!

“Awesome karaoke bar in Chinatown, SF! Definitely a Chinatown feel with the dim red lights & decor. There's a huge karaoke book to choose a song to sing. If the bar is full, they'd likely limit you to 1 song at a time so others get a chance. Space is small so it can get crowded. Loved the energy & atmosphere.“

Drinks were decent for extremely expensive. Not much seating and it wasn’t that different from a hotel bar for the exorbitant price.“

“Perfect Italian authentic restaurant when enjoying North Beach neighborhood for my friends birthday! I got us tickets to dear San Francisco, which is a wonderful show at Club Fugazi just 3 blocks away from this great restaurant! Paolo took wonderful care of us. His wine, suggestions and appetizer and entrée tips were the best! The pasta is homemade and very delicious and special. We tried the gnocchi with pesto, as well as a delicious braised meat, red sauce over fresh linguine. We also enjoyed the grilled (not fried) octopus. The tiramisu for dessert was perfect! I’ve been here before, and I will go back again and again for the service and authentic delicious Italian cuisine.“

“Overall this is the best Mexican restaurant for many blocks around and it’s not particularly close. Super nice addition to the area.

The best thing here is the hot salsa, made from dried chilies, it’s really great but as far as I can tell they only give it to you if you ask, and it comes in a squeeze bottle.

I usually like carnitas extra crispy but theirs are very soft and super good.“

“I recently came here with my coworkers to celebrate a promotion, and this bar is a total gem in the neighborhood. The space is very nice, peaceful, and sophisticated, making it the perfect spot to grab high-quality cocktails with a small group.

We toasted with some excellent French 75s and brought our own cake for the celebration. Just as a heads-up for future guests, they did mention that they sometimes charge a cake fee, so keep that in mind if you plan on bringing outside food.

“Above Fifth is the rooftop bar of the AC Hotel in San Rafael, CA. The hotel is part of the Marriott hotel franchise. Yes, a franchise hotel is in downtown San Rafael. Times are a changin'.

Anyways, the bar is open 4pm-11pm Wednesday-Sunday, closed on Monday - Tuesday. The hotel is about 54 feet tall so it is not particular tall, but tall enough for some awesome views of downtown, surrounding hills, and Mount Tam. The seating area, like the hotel, has modern upscale aesthetics with relaxed vibes.

The views are gorgeous. The staff are sweethearts, five star service. The drinks and tapas menu price points are of course pricey. But what was up with the stained paper menus. Eww. Anyways, the fam ordered drinks (cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks) and tapas of olives, hummus and pita, and fingerling potatoes. The olives were delicious and it was a good medley of various kinds. The fingerling potatoes were a bit boring tasting, it could use more seasonings for added zing. Not sure how the green hummus tasted, I snoozed on that one.

Overall, the drinks are good, ambiance fantastic, and the food is meh. This is a type of place I would go for special occasions and not on a regular basis, my wallet cannot sustain it.“

“Some things are great here, while others leave something to be desired. The guacamole and queso were good, whereas the fajitas and tortilla soup were not quite what you'd expect. Service could use to have a little more attention, had to ask for a refill every time. Good if you're in the area, definitely not a destination to go out of your way for.“

“This is a Mexican restaurant in Ghirardelli Square in the Marina District. There was no wait when we arrived for a late lunch. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and the views of the Maritime Historic District are lovely. Today was a clear day and the view of Alcatraz was fantastic. The food is very tasty. There is a nice array of variety with a little something for most tastes and the price point isn't awful for San Francisco. I would recommend a nice stop over here to rest your feet and have a bit to eat or a cold drink on a hot day!“
