We ordered the classic pepperoni pizza, the classic cheese and bacon pizza, as well as the lasagna and carbonara. The pizzas were cooked to perfection, with a crispy and delicious crust. The pasta was cheesy and filling.“

“Food and drinks were amazing. We had oysters, calamari, Caesar salad, lobster lasagna and hanger steak. For dessert we had the sorbet and tiramisu. The star of the show: the staff but specifically our server Maggie was also sooo amazing. We were celebrating a birthday and a farewell dinner and she made sure we had the best time! “We've been here ~6-7 times in the last year. They make fantastic cocktails & the food is surprisingly good, but service is often very slow.

The drink menu is fun & tropical leaning but with some drinks that pack a serious punch. If you don't like what you see, they'll make anything you want & they'll do a great job!

I wish the menu would shift a little bit - I don't think it's changed since the first time we visisted.

It can be hard to get your order in & even if standing waiting for awhile, it'll often to awhile to get the attention of the bartender. This hasn't been isolated to a single bartender, it's just kind of the general experience.

If you're not bothered by slow service and want great drinks, go here!“

“Awesome karaoke bar in Chinatown, SF! Definitely a Chinatown feel with the dim red lights & decor. There's a huge karaoke book to choose a song to sing. If the bar is full, they'd likely limit you to 1 song at a time so others get a chance. Space is small so it can get crowded. Loved the energy & atmosphere.“

The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because it took a little while to get our second round of drinks. Aside from that, everything else was fantastic!

The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was the perfect way to unwind after spending the day exploring the city. Great vibes, great food, and an overall enjoyable dining experience. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a place to relax and enjoy a good meal!

And the cocktails are in a league of their own. Izler Thomas is easily one of the best bartenders in the Bay Area, incredibly creative, thoughtful, and technically brilliant. Every drink feels like it has a story behind it, and the execution is flawless.

From the food to the cocktails to the hospitality, Tiya gets everything right. I’ve tried plenty of the other highly regarded Indian restaurants around the Bay, including Copra, and for me it’s not even close. Tiya is the one. Cannot recommend it enough.“

“This was our first time going to Holbrook House, where we went for lunch to celebrate a special occasion. The restaurant is gorgeous. Holbrook House has the potential to be a 5-star restaurant, but we rated it lower because of its amateurish, unskilled staff and very slow service given the high price point. We would have rated it lower, but management obviously recognized that what we were experiencing, especially for a special occasion, was below expectations and provided us with small servings of complimentary sparkling wine, a dessert & a bottle of champagne to take home, which was delivered to the table by the general manager. These actions demonstrated to us outstanding compensating hospitality. Having said all of that, the food was delicious. The Petite Seafood Tower ($125) had fresh & plump lobster, oysters and ceviche. Although the Black Truffle Grilled Cheese w/ Honey ($20) had no shaved black truffle, the black truffle taste is present & the combination of cheeses, honey & sourdough were the best I’ve tasted. The accompanying fries were crispy. All in all, we will return and give Holbrook House another chance.“

He went far beyond his job description, since I am visually impaired he was kind enough to break down each and every drink by ingredient in flavour profile as well as he was kind enough to describe the aesthetics of the establishment itself. When I was in the moongate I felt like I was a friend as opposed to a customer. At this point I should mention the signature cocktails are incredible [Not to mention dangerous as some are incredibly smooth] A heartfelt thank you for being welcoming and not batting an eye when I entered with my seeing Eye dog. I truly had a great experience at this establishment.“

I got us tickets to dear San Francisco, which is a wonderful show at Club Fugazi just 3 blocks away from this great restaurant! Paolo took wonderful care of us. His wine, suggestions and appetizer and entrée tips were the best! The pasta is homemade and very delicious and special. We tried the gnocchi with pesto, as well as a delicious braised meat, red sauce over fresh linguine. We also enjoyed the grilled (not fried) octopus. The tiramisu for dessert was perfect! I’ve been here before, and I will go back again and again for the service and authentic delicious Italian cuisine.“

On our way back to the hotel, we came by Cenote. It didn’t look like much from the outside. It only had a few small tables with hard stool-style seats, fast food style. However…. The food was incredible! The four of us had all a different dish, and all four dishes looked beautiful. The flavors were fresh and very tasty. No disappointment! If you are looking for a mid-range priced dinner with awesome flavor in that neighborhood, this is your place! We all paid less than $20 for a fabulous dinner. “Great bar in North Beach. When we were there it was just warm enough (SF Standard) to sit by the big open windows. They had some strong cocktail (and NA) options along with the normal wine & beer. We ordered pizza locally and had it delivered to us at the tables. great spot“

Bathroom met expectations, was clean for that time of evening.

Ordering at the bar was swift. Opted for a canned drink (hard Vietnamese coffee) as opposed to a cocktail they used to have on the menu. Which came swiftly, pre-opened, and presumably shaken prior.

Comedy show was the highlight. Came pre-buzzed, full capacity once everyone was seated, engaging comedians, responded well to crowd energy. A solid recommend on a whim or planning days prior.

If you love a red atmosphere, this satiates that aesthetic.“

“We in Russian Hill and North Beach are lucky that this spot lights up Stockton Street with mirth and merriment. It offers promise of boisterous camaraderie or quiet romance. And we should take it up on that promise! Look at the photos of spontaneous dancing outside to a song I could not identify. It has the right qualities for a bouquet of friends to stand outside with their drinks

It’s the perfect bar post dinner to get a little tipsy over port or wine, lager or ale, and then sensibly hop on public transport located opposite the bar. Friends don’t let friends drive !“

“The burgers were fresh, juicy and flavorful. The tater tots were so crispy, crunchy. They had amazing texture and they crumbled in your mouth, very good. The portion size was plentiful. The only complaint I have was the service was really lax and forgetable and you can tell they don't clean the tables thourghly between patrons. When I went to use the salt and pepper it was grossly sticky and it got stuff on my belongings I put on the table.“

“Brand new addition to the Marina District. The space is beautifully designed, especially the back area, which blends a tropical tiki-inspired atmosphere with a sleek, modern aesthetic. It has a great vibe and feels both stylish and inviting.“

“I recently came here with my coworkers to celebrate a promotion, and this bar is a total gem in the neighborhood. The space is very nice, peaceful, and sophisticated, making it the perfect spot to grab high-quality cocktails with a small group.

We toasted with some excellent French 75s and brought our own cake for the celebration. Just as a heads-up for future guests, they did mention that they sometimes charge a cake fee, so keep that in mind if you plan on bringing outside food.

Overall, it's a beautiful venue and I would definitely stop by again whenever I'm back in the area.“
