“Went for a birthday diner and cassoulet. Had a really great waitress, salads, Mussels, Halibut, but unfortunately the cassoulet was mediocre and lacked that rich congealed flavor. Hardly any duck confit and sausages were tough. Left half of it and was surprised by the bland flavor. Next time would try the beef bourguignon instead. The Creme Brûlée helped make up for it though. Delicious as was the strawberry rhubarb crisp.“
“if you're looking for an unpretentious, neighborhood dive bar (that isn't *trying* to be a dive bar) this is your place. cheap drinks, healthy pours, friendly bartenders! pool tables, $2 a game or $5 for 3 (cash only). solid juke box! we will be back for sure!“
“Tony's Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco is a slice of heaven for pizza enthusiasts. Nestled in the heart of the city, this pizzeria crafts authentic Neapolitan-style pies that are worth the wait. From the crispy yet chewy crust to the flavorful sauce and fresh toppings. The ambiance is cozy, perfect for a casual dinner or a laid-back hangout with friends. The menu offers a variety of options to suit every palate. Tony's Pizza Napoletana is a must-visit for any pizza lover in the Bay Area.“
“This is one beautiful place with colors, art and i think largest mural i have seen in sf, showcasing culture, i loved the vibe, food was tasty specially patatas bravas, short ribs, gambas, flatbread and drinks were just wow! very creative and tasty cocktails. great space for special occasions and groups.“
“We had the best time at Sorella! The food was amazing and we left feeling full. The cocktails were perfectly balanced and delicious and the wine recommendations we had paired with our meal so well. Our favorite part about the dinner though was the service! Our waiter was extremely attentive but not over bearing. He was also hilarious which added to the experience! Everyone was so respectful and happy. Truly a great experience- we will be back!“
“This is one of my favorites in the Marina. Constantly very high quality food. I almost don’t want to review it because I don’t want it to get too crowded. They are very close to getting a Michelin star! Omg get the pavlova for desert. Their fish is amazing too.“
“Went here with my girlfriend for my birthday. The staff was extremely attentive and nice. The atmosphere of the bar downstairs was not bad but the music was a bit too loud in my opinion. The food was amazing and I think it was reasonably priced. Only thing I have to say is that the nigiri was made a bit sloppy on some pieces with the ice being too lightly packed. But overall the taste was amazing and nothing else to complain about.“
“Fourth time here. Wildseed always delivers great food with friendly, proactive service.I am a vegetarian and prefer food that is inherently vegetarian/vegan rather than veg/vegan versions of dishes. So I tend to be leery of vegan dairy alternatives. But the feta served here as part of the mezze platter is so good that I prefer it to actual feta. Whatever seasonal pizza is on the menu is usually great. Neatball masala is a solid stand by as well. I appreciate that the salad dressings are properly zingy and not flat oil slicks.Props to the kitchen and front of the house for a wonderful experience each time so far!Vegetarian options: Completely plant based menu.“
“My server clearly forgot to put in the roll I ordered and blamed the kitchen. My whole family was done eating and my roll arrived after everyone was already done. No apology, no comp. We own a restaurant as well and this is something that would never fly.“
“I had an enchanting evening at Bar Iris, where the cozy and intimate atmosphere set the stage for a memorable experience. The attentive waiter staff added to the overall enjoyment. Although we missed out on snacks, the highlight of the night was undoubtedly the exquisite cocktails.I indulged in two rounds of the LEVEL UP! drink, a delightful blend of strawberry juice, pandan, rhubarb, awayuki gin, lemon, egg whites, and the flavorful combination of shichimi powder, which truly enhanced the overall flavor profile. Its smooth not spirit forward which, I truly enjoyed.Additionally, my friend ordered the SORRY, NOT SORRY with a whiskey base, compliments the creative craftsmanship of the cocktails. The creativity and balance of flavors in both cocktails were truly exceptional. Looking forward to returning for a more comprehensive tasting experience, including the tempting snacks we missed out on.I’m back for the holiday drinks and have this "PUMPKABOO" is a warm, comforting cocktail with Kabocha's “Japanese Pumpkin” sweet richness, Pandan's fragrant sweetness, and Oolong's complexity. Iwai 45 whisky and Mugi Hokka shochu provide a spirited kick and depth. Gran Classico adds balanced bitterness, while milk contributes creaminess. Topped with a marshmallow garnish, it's a cozy, indulgent richness. I enjoyed the unique blend of flavors!Cheers to Bar Iris for an evening well-spent!“
“My taste buds have never experienced such a gastronomic delight as they did at Barcha Mediterranean Restaurant! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms. Every dish that was served brought us closer to food heaven, making every second we spent there an unforgettable experience. To kick off our culinary journey, we indulged in the mouth-watering Moroccan Cigars - a flavor explosion of lamb, mushrooms, gruyère, and cinnamon, paired with a tantalizing tamarind-mint chutney. And let's not forget the Barcha Spreads - a magnificent medley of baba ghanoush, labneh, muhammara, hummus, and bazlama that danced on our tongues. For our main courses, the Persian Tahdig was the true star of the show, with its crispy saffron rice, duck leg, onions, barberries, fried egg, harissa yogurt, and herbs. The combination of crispy rice, juicy duck, and crispy onions was a symphony of flavors that left us weak in the knees. And the lamb shank leg with couscous was an absolute knockout, with tender meat that simply melted in our mouths. As if that wasn't enough, we were served the divine Affogato - vanilla soft serve, and espresso, were delicious, and the Chocolate Cake was a sweet ending that left us wanting more.Although the lighting kept adjusting during our time there dim to bright and keep going from our stayed from 6 pm - to 8 pm, it was hard on our eyes. All in all, Barcha Mediterranean Restaurant offers more than just a meal - it is a journey through the Mediterranean region's culinary delights. Every dish served was a masterpiece, and the warm welcome made us feel like we were part of the family.“
“Holbrook House is one of my preferred go to bar in the Financial District that has great service, drinks, tasty food and wonderful atmosphere. The atrium is big, open, well lite and spacious. In fact many times it will get booked for special events and when the weather is warm the open the large doors for more of an indoor / outdoor feel. The indoor bar itself once you pass through the atrium area is well designed long narrow oval shape that has seating all around. The chairs at the bar side are huge, like the captains chairs that requires some muscle to move. I giggle on how much effort it takes to move them. Holbrook House also has a martini cart that goes around and provides particular service to make you their special martini drink that is a nice flare the business offers. The food menu has been expanded since the opened and enough good choices that gives you a variety of choices. My favorite is their burger, that isn't too big but quite filling. If you haven't been to Holbrook House I suggest giving it a go. The crowd is a good professional crowd, where they can come dressed up and looking nice. I think you won't be disappointed.“
“This was a fabulous Italian restaurant in the marina! Unfortunately, you can't make a reservation before hand so you need to queue on the yelp waitlist. However, if you're flexible the wait time is not too bad. We were a party of 3 looking for seating on a Saturday around 8 and waited about 30 mins. Besides this, the restaurant is adorable with beautiful dish wear and cute decor. We got some white wine for the table which was delicious and the waiter was great with recommendations. I ordered the bolognese which was so flavorful and the pasta was perfectly cooked. However, I do wish there was an option for more cheese on the pasta. We finished our meal with complimentary lemon gelatos which were very refreshing. Highly recommend Casado Osteria for your next date night or dinner with friends!“
“We walked in without a reservation and no expectations. What a delightful surprise. The service was superb, from the Host to the bar tender to our server. The food was delicious and came out quickly. To our surprise they had a gluten free empanada. Also the architecture and decor will delight. We highly recommend going on for a drink, a meal, live music and looking around.“
“Came here for a relaxing dinner the other night with some friends. We had the lobster Mac and cheese and the lobster roll. Both were absolutely delicious and well presented. Prices are slightly high for the portion size, however, the service made up for it.“
“Atmosphere: Solid and funBar Service: Kind, interesting, professionalsDrinks: Costly (but craft cocktails can be, so expected), my drink was cloyingly sweet, my friend's drink was more of a savory thing, and one of the rum drinks was great.UPDATE:Within 1 hour the owner of the bar contacted me about the experience with the drink I had ordered. He offered an apology, which I appreciated but was unnecessary, as I should have been better about saying something during my visit, rather than in a public review. This was customer service at its best, and that I appreciate. Upon reflection my drink may have just been a bartender error, and everybody has an off day.As the atmosphere and employees are amazing, and the vibe a solid 100, and now management reacting in a meaningful way to a petty complaint, I am boosting to 5 stars across the board.Go see for yourself what caring about your customers, and their experience is all about. Cheers!“
“We had the best evening at Dita's! We were warmly welcomed by the lovely owner! The restaurant is modern and chic, the view is the best in the Bay Area, and the entire ambience is joyful and uplifting. We had delicious food : the ceviche was amazing .. little gems salad ... so many delicious choices on the menu ..it will be a place to return to to try others .. and then the music by Freddy Clark was beyond fabulous! This place is a new favorite!!!“
“Get hooked on the ocean views and fresh seafood at this legendary San Francisco spot! Everything we had was spectacular! Calamari was lightly fried and fresh. Wedge salad was flavourful and crisp. The grilled octopus was my favorite, perfectly grilled with some char on a romescu sauce. But the cioppino is the reason we went. I regrets, this was a tomato based seafood dish, bursting with flavour and succulent seafood. Unlike any other seafood stews, all of the seafood was perfectly cooked and not over done or chewy. This was what we expected as an iconic San Francisco experience and we were still beyond impressed!“
“Just stopped in for the first time, smiling ear to ear… a Tropisueno just a little closer to home? Had the guacamole, they mix it with tomatillo and tomato, very flavorful and fresh… a red roast pepper salsa, chips are very solid, not too hard, and hold a clean oil well. Flautas came with extra lettuce and a coupe tomatoes, some zesty crème sauce…Very pleased with the happy hour portions, price… will be looking forward to the next time, already want to go back :)“

“Excellent water view dining in a beautiful small town. Our family loved our delicious entrees. Unfortunately, my husband had the halibut and pinto beans but should have been cannellini beans and the combination was terrible. We would have appreciated if we were told of the substitution before hand otherwise a different entree would have been chosen.Excellent customer service.“
“I am obsessed with this place. During my weekend in San Fran, me and my boyfriend went here almost every night. We love to share cheap pitchers of beer and this place had pitchers for $20 which was an unbeatable price in the area. The bar was so cozy. It felt like an old Victorian mansion. The walls were covered with art and paintings and it was lit with mostly Tiffany style lamps. I loved looking at the outfits people had on, seeing people enjoying the atmosphere with a cocktail and a book, or typing notes on a type writer and handing them to people around the bar. It felt like being in a different world and I loved the escape.“
“Husband and I had dinner here, was seated according reservation, very polite and professional staff. food was delicious, husband had petite Filet Mignon, I ordered the special Bone in filet. Both were juicy and full of flavor. It was cooked according to preference, we both loved it. had some sides, creamy spinach and portabella mushrooms, perfect. with the steaks, enjoyed the garlic fries and bread with old fashions to start. We ended with dessert and coffee. would highly recommend for birthday, date night, or just because you want to enjoy a amazing steak. We ate here for the first time when it opened way back in early 2000's and it hasn't disappointed us at all. very consistent to who they are and what they serve. luv it!“
“Colibri is a Mexican bistro right close by the sea. It's a beautiful place for a hot meal in their outside court. The sun can fall into your eyes and start toasting you, so stick to those covered tables if possible. Keep in mind that although it's upscale, it is traditional and sticks with its roots. Not the kind of traditional that someone from the South is used to.Really great quality food. The spice was a big wake-up call for me. The drinks are fun (they put one of their cocktails in a peacock glass!) and they make sharing easy.“
“Loved this place for the amazing ambiance and modern interior. We booked a table there for the Valentine Day celebration and got a sitting in the outside covered area which was nicely lit and decorated. They had a special menu for that day so I ordered a duck from it and my husband went with vegan sliders. The food was delicious and our waiter very pleasant and knowledgeable. I also tried one of their mocktails Sans vin which appeared to be refreshing and not too sweet. I liked our experience there and probably would come again mostly because of the ambiance. Food in the regular menu didn’t seem too exciting. Another thing too - they include all the mandates, fees and tips to your check at once which was confusing for a lot of people around us that evening.“
“(March 2024) First time trying the Caprice. Food was good, views of Golden Gate Bridge were fantastic! I wouldn't go there just for the food. Pretty pricey. You're not paying for the quality of the meal, your paying for the ambience and the views.“
“Dive bar with history. $12 famous trademarked “Chinese Mai Tais”. Rated by Anthony Bourdain and Eater. What more do you need? Has TVs to watch games - came in handy for the Warriors Lakers game tonight.Service isn’t white glove but it’s a dive bar and it’s just fine.“
“Been vacationing in the Marina area for years now, and just barely discovered this place. Was here for a girl’s weekend and a friend found this place on Yelp. We came after lunch at about 1pm and it was quiet. Most had their laptops and were doing work. My friend and I were at the bar jibber jabbering.Steven was the bartender and not only was he a great mixologist, but he had really good recommendations. This is one of those kinds of places where you want to try their specialty drinks. Don’t do your usual stuff. I am picky and only like drinks served up so Steven asked me a few questions before making a recommendation. We had three drinks each, a cookie and beef jerky before leaving.Parking is easy and there’s plenty. Park, use the machine and grab your receipt. FYI, parking machine says to add your cell so they can forewarn you 15 minutes before your time ends; that DOES NOT WORK. Make sure you keep an eye on the time which we did.Awesome new spot (for me) and will be back!“
“Can't stop my craving from coming here for their wings. Another day after work with coworkers which 212 definitely don't disappoint. Cool workers and owners. Fun place to relax and relieve stress. Unless your allergic to fun, fried chickens, people and alcohol ... better you stay home lol J/K. Overall a must check out place for all that loves food, fun, alcohol etc.Peace out ...wink!“
“Back to Back adds warmth and flavor to the relaxed and quiet streets of Nob Hill, my neigboring neighborhood. Its special to support a family run restaurant by two siblings whose parents formerly ran a restaurant in this very same space. Hence, the name Back to Back. The food is undoubtly delicious and has interesting recipes like the Hot Honey pizza, but for me what really makes this spot a standout is its energy and story. The whole evening it was abuzz and our waiter offered helpful guidance while also being delightfully charming. Hot tip: the chocolate cake is very rich and dense so plan your offering accordingly“
“I'm from Toronto and I loved my experience at Barrio! Mikey is fantastic! His personal touch and explanation of our tequila flight was exemplary. He introduced us to tequila that are better than anything we've tasted before (and we've tasted alot) The blue shell tacos and nachos were fantastic. We looking forward to coming back here next time we in San Fran.“
“Had a dinner for a birthday celebration with family, sat “outside” in the Parklet (with heat lamps).Food:Crab cakes - great, loved the sauce.Bread order - tasty, olive oil was ??Ribeye- medium, cooked well.Porterhouse- rare, too much sauce used and didn’t love the grilled asparagus.Filet- medium, too well cooked for medium.Kale salad- way overdressed.Glass of Zin- perfect.Birthday cookie - lovely.Service was okay, fine. Struggled to take gift card as payment form. All in all, it was a good place for our small group to celebrate and we left pretty happy with it.“
“We had a DELIGHTFUL dinner here. We had the beef dish, the catch of the day, broccoli rabe and vegetarian platter with grilled zucchini, eggplant, red pepper, artichokes and mushrooms. The setting was lovely with art on the walls and italian music -- was it an opera?!? on the stereo. Good service, great meal. Enjoyed by all.“
“I came here for a team happy hour and I have to say, you should definitely make reservations if you are planning on coming with a group because this place fills up pretty fast. We were so thankful we did. While we were there, there were three other groups there with their own reservations. Since this place isn't terribly big, it got really loud and I could barely talk to the person next to me. Maybe it's just because I'm hard of hearing, I'm not sure, but that was a bummer. Once the two hour window for our reservation was over, we moved closer to the bar and that was a lot better. It made a world of difference for us and it made it easier for all of us to talk to each other as a group. Next time I make reservations, I'm going to ask if we have the spot behind it because it's super ideal! The drinks and food were pretty delicious and full of variety which was really nice with all of them being reasonably priced also. Overall, I would definitely come back but just make sure to sit closer to the bar next time!“
“I like this bar. Came here because recommend by another bar I have to wait to get in. Atmosphere is very chill. Was able to get a table quick. Drinks r good but not mind blowing.Chicken nuggets seem fresh and fries are good. I’m very impressed tho I wasn’t expecting much“
“Decided to try Delarosa on a whim & very glad we did. Lovely patio seating for our dog, & the service was 10/10. We ordered the meatballs & Brussels to start, hot salami pizza, gold/red beets salad, & Caesar salad. The best.“
“Upstairs on the second floor hidden behind a golden door is where you would find a bar with hidden fees. SF mandates plus 20% service fee is included in the bill even if you are visiting by yourself.Drinks are not bad, but be prepared to bring your fat wallet cause two drinks is probably going to cost you around $60.The silk degrees is quite good, enhanced by the aroma of the toasted coconut. Make you you breath in as you drink to enjoy the flavor.Bring a friend, nice spot for a chat, but not to meet people.“
“Yummy food but not very memorable in terms of like amazing italian joints. I loved so much about this place but something is not clicking and i'm drawing a blank on the food. I know I walked out of there feeling like it could have been better but I loved the vibes and the dining room.“
“this was one of the first bars i ever visited once i moved into the neighborhood!! their cocktails are delicious and I love the overall look and feel of the place. the bartenders have always been kind to me and my friend, and i enjoy their couches and window seating on their top floor. it's a small ish place so not overwhelming, and the location is prime.“
“My husband and I went to The Speakeasy for the first time tonight. From the moment we arrived until we left -- almost two hours -- Daniell took care of us and made us feel so welcome. Incredible cocktails, and delicious food. Really fun atmosphere and a great vibe. We plan on becoming regulars for happy hour and can't wait to have dinner at The Boardroom next door.“
“I have never been inside for a drink , but I absolutely love their choice of music which is piped into the parklet ; they play songs by Natural Milk Hotel, and The Sundays; and for this I thank them. I shall visit soon.I am also impressed with murals on their parklet.“
“Solid spot in Pacific Heights. It was easy to do a walk in and find parking nearby. It does feel a bit cramped with the seating style but they make the most of the seating by the window and communal seating vibe. Drinks were good. Highly recommend the prickly pear. We also ordered an old fashion and came with a glass half full and noting that they seem to charge a $1 if you ask for a large ice cube. Food was good, the naan and mushroom hummus has a strong mushroom flavor so best if you’re sharing as it can be overwhelming after multiple bites. The steamed buns were super delicious too and a treat since we don’t order those often. They also add an automatic 20% to your bill so just be cautious. Wish they would just add it to their pricing and remove that addition but everywhere seems to be leaning on this.“
“What a great meal and just great night overall! Went out for dinner with 2 friends this weekend and ended up spending 3 hours there enjoying the food and hanging out. The entire staff was incredibly friendly from the second we walked in and the food was just so damn tasty! We ate a huge assortment, but some favs were def the focaccia de muratore, the carbonara, and literally every dessert on the menu. And omg the pinsa de pistachio dessert, will be dreaming about that. Have to give a special shoutout to Jacapo and Luigi who took such great care of us, had a blast talking to them all night. Raved about our experience to so many friends and can’t wait to going back!“
“718 was formerly the Blind Pig, which took over the Cathay House . The bar and seating areas are exactly the same as when the blind pig opened. They're in the process of revamping the drink menu.Drinks:I tried the jalapeño margarita..very tasty, pretty strong drink!. They used mezcal which gave it the smokiness! The bartender made us to try two new bourbon drinks. They haven't named it yet. One was mixed well, not sure what else was in it, but it was topped off with a dehydrated passion fruit. Optically stunning..maybe a just a pinch sweeter and it would be bomb! The second drink was mixed with oolong tea and five spice.. I enjoyed it so much that I ordered a second!Food: we didn't eat but they served snacks: fried wontons, potstickers and fried spring rolls.Ambiance: great space!! Comfortable seating! We were a party of five and had the whole bar to ourselves the entire time we were there. Maybe it's an after dinner spot. The one bartender was great. He served strong drinks and was very attentive. This is my new hidden gem! I will be back to try the new menu soon!“
“The best place in San Francisco for a first date! I an a transwoman but i date across the gender spectrum. Flores is something very special. A Mexican restaurant such as one might find in the Zona Rosa or Coyoacán in Mexico City -- the hippest places in North America. Basic dishes but done light and original. Try the pozole for a wakeup. Reasonable price. Great service. Fab drinks... be careful after your second marg. But take your date's hand and look soulfully in their eyes over the guac...“
“We went on Valentine's Day but we went very early, 4:30 pm. We loved the French onion soup, the Moules et Frites and the Cafe Bastille salad. Good wine selection, full bar. The service was excellent partly because we were early but they had plenty of servers waiting for the crowd that was booked to arrive.“
“One of my favorite places in Novato. Its small, quiet and dark and it has a piano! The selections and service are top notch! I've been coming here since it opened and surprised that you can get such a high quality dining experience in the shopping plaza location that it's in.This is a testament to its owner/founder, Munther. You can tell he sweats the details and it all pays off. The ambiance is what you'd expect of a boutique steakhouse. It features icons of yesteryear and backs it up with top notch service that you don't find anymore. The soft piano in the background is a really nice touch and makes you forget that you are in a chaotic shopping plaza. The quality of meal is really top notch. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I've had their pork chop (amazing), Tomahawk (amazing as well but bring a date) and of course the ribeye are, you guessed it, AMAZING!I love their sides too. The creamed spinach is a wonderful treat, truffle fries, whipped potatoes and the roasted Yukon potatoes are killer. Dont forget the side of green beans!Anyhoo, if your in the South Novato area and want an unexpected fine dining experience, dont hesitate to look up the Board Room!Parking: This shopping plaza is chaotic at times lol“
“Highly recommend green beans with XO sauce and the shrimp and pork shaomai (use the hot sauce with it, even better). Pan fried mushroom buns and chashao bao (bbq pork) buns were pretty good too. Found some big chunks of pork fat in the xiao long tang bao (pork soup dumplings), but otherwise they were pretty good. Sort of funny that they put them in little tinfoil cups, but I suppose it helps people with bad chopstick skills also get to sip the soup inside the dumplings;-)“
“Came here for my daughter's 21st birthday. They brought the wrong dish out for her meal without us even complaining they left the plate, brought out what she originally ordered, and comped both the wrong meal her original meal and our desserts. Tiramisu and espressos were on point.“
“I crave the gnocchi here and I don't even like gnocchi. My kids were mad when they had their fries and said now all other fries are ruined for them. Their Crudo is proportion is tiny but delicious. Had the most Marin kind of pizza - the kale with roasted garlic and it was delish. I could go on...but I need a nap now...“
