Sonoma Happy Garden Reviews
Their wonton soup is amazing! The staff is so friendly and they're able to keep the prices very reasonable.
I’ve been coming here for 20 years. My children have grown to adulthood with the happiest of times at happy garden. They are a staple in our Sonoma community and family and cherished by all.
Classic chinese restaurant with all your favorites. Large portions and lunch comes with soup and rice.

Sonoma Happy Garden is a local restaurant offering freshly prepared Chinese food. The food tastes fresh and real, and the restaurant is a clean place with great service. The man at the counter is very kind and helpful. The food comes in traditional Chinese paper boxes rather than plastic containers, which makes it tricky to eat rice-based dishes straight from the container. Rice does not come with the entrees and needs to be ordered separately. Specific meals mentioned include sizzling chicken and shrimp rice soup, which has pretty good flavor, and orange chicken, which also tastes good but the pieces at the bottom are very soggy from sitting in the sauce. Other popular menu items are Mu Shu vegetable, which is fantastic, and Mu Shu anything is excellent. Egg rolls are always fresh and crispy. Pot stickers and egg rolls are made just right, with the egg roll being crispy and fresh and the pot stickers flavorful and not greasy. A husband who is not vegetarian loves the Mongolian Beef, General Tao’s Chicken, and Mu Shu Pork. The restaurant does take out and customers can call ahead of time. Many regulars come in for take out, which is a good sign. Prices are decent, with two large containers and small rice costing over $40. For hotel takeout, it is a little less convenient, but it is a great spot for locals or for dining in.
