“Great tasting experience. I’ve always enjoyed Nickel & Nickel wine, but was a bit skeptical heading into the on-site experience as I’ve been let down by a fair number of Napa wineries. Ultimately, I was super pleased. It was informative without being preachy. By the end I understood a lot more about the different vineyards in the N&N portfolio and I enjoyed all of them. Joe hosted us and he was great. his discretionary pours were selected based on our feedback from the initial wines and were spot-on. Also, the space was great - we were able to sip at our own pace and didn’t feel rushed at all. Will be back.”

He gave us an amazing tour of the winery and how everything was made along with an impromptu tour behind the scenes of the oak barrels being stored. “I honestly expected this to be a corporate, soulless, overpriced tasting but I had a pretty good time here.

The building itself is beautiful, even though we only saw the inside given the construction. The tasting room is very posh and comfortable.

Our host was great. Didn’t catch his name but we had a great discussion about wine and he was very kind and accommodating. Not pretentious or snobby at all like I was expecting.

That being said, this wine is very expensive and I probably would not recommend this tasting for someone who isn’t a wine enthusiast. My wife is less of a wine nerd than me and she wasn’t a fan of the aged Opus One. We tried a 2012, and while I thought it was great my wife did not like the earthy tertiary flavors. We heard similar sentiment from another couple we talked to, they said “It smelled funny.”

It’s not the most crowd-pleasing or affordable wine in Napa, but a visit here is a treat for wine enthusiasts.”

The bad reviews crack me up, because if you're not small town, you're definitely not going to dig this place. There's plenty of fancy places to go. If we're going back, this is one of the first places I want a drink. Hope everyone is good at Pancha's! ? My advice, go here, drink whiskey, tip generously, chat with the locals, and leave your ego out on the curb. ✌?”

“Ate there for the first time yesterday and can't wait to go back. We're vegetarian but had no trouble finding incredible offerings. The mushroom/leek risotto was the best I've had. The sweet corn tamale appetizers were surprising and flavorful, and the grilled avocado tostados fabulous! On beautiful grounds with fresh produce growing beside the restaurant. Staff was friendly and efficient. Just a great experience!”

“We had a tasting experience with Samantha and had a wonderful time. We are experienced wine lovers, and have been to many tastings around the world but this one definitely stands out not only for the fabulous wines, but for the expertise of our guide. She was extremely knowledgable about not only the area and the wines themselves, but educated us on the surrounding areas and the different terroir, which makes each wine area in Napa very unique. She taught us a lot of things that we didn’t know yet, and was very warm and genuine the entire time. We’ve been to some tastings in the area that are not this well organized and thorough, so we appreciated Samantha going the extra mile.

The wines were excellent and their different varieties of different years of Cabernets tasted together made this winery very unique.

This winery is a family run business, and we learned that one of the sons who works there full-time is also a builder by trade - who was responsible for the amazing interiors and high-end design finishes in the tasting room and the outdoor terrace. This place would be perfect for a higher end event!

My wife and I have been coming here for over 12 years, and it’s not only one of our all-time favorite restaurants; it’s a must every time we visit Napa. We’ve celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, our engagement, and soon we’ll be back in December for our babymoon.

The food is consistently exceptional. The roast chicken is the best we’ve ever had, the steak frites is divine, and the salade lyonnaise is indulgent perfection. You simply have to end the evening with the profiteroles and crème brûlée; it’s non-negotiable.

But what truly sets Bouchon apart is the team. The staff goes above and beyond to make every visit special. Their hospitality is world-class, and it’s clear they take immense pride in what they do.

“If you’re looking for the best Mexican food in the area, Tacos Garcia is the spot. I’ve eaten here multiple times, and the food never disappoints—fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying.
The al pastor nachos are a personal favorite. Perfectly seasoned meat, gooey cheese, and just the right amount of crunch—every bite hits. Their tacos are also excellent. I’ve had both the al pastor and the carnitas, and both were full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Just a heads-up: they run spicy! Not overwhelmingly so, but if I had known ahead of time, I probably would’ve asked for a little crema on the side to balance things out.
I also tried a quesadilla, which was really tasty, but not served in the traditional handheld style I’m used to. It came cut into pieces, on a bed of lettuce with salsa—more of a plated dish than a grab-and-go option. Since I work in the vineyards, I usually prefer something easier to eat with my hands on the go. That said, the flavors were still on point.
One important tip: Tacos Garcia is cash only, so make sure you have some money on you before you go.
Overall, I really love the food here. It's flavorful, consistent, and made with care—hands down the best Mexican in this area.”
