“Auberge du Soliel never disappoints. It is pricey, but defiunitely worth it for special occasions. The view out over the Napa Valley is special. The service is top-notch. Everyone works together to provide a fantastic dining experience. The food is always great, and never boring. Everyone who can afford it should make the trip and have a great experience.”
“Fabulous wine tasting on 3/17/24.Mel did a wonderful job sharing the history of Grgich and her knowledge of wine, growing conditions, and organic practices was impressive. She was perceptive about our interests and taste preferences and tailored the experience rather than just doing a “canned” presentation, making the tasting educational and enjoyable!”
“Inglenook Winery is a gem near Saint Helena, and it stood out as the best winery during our trip. The chateau's old French charm, both in architecture and interior design, was breathtaking. Our guide/sommelier was exceptionally attentive and knowledgeable, adding depth to the winemaking experience. The tasting showcased top-notch wines. However, the frustration began with confusing instructions for getting there; a missing QR code led to circling the property and unresponsive reception. Despite the hiccup, the overall winery experience was outstanding.”
“Round Pond is an amazing vineyard. The large palms welcoming you along the driveway are unique yet fitting. From there, it only gets better. The staff is full of knowledge and tips while the chef in the kitchen adds a tremendous touch of passion for his plates. The mustard is amazing. Their juice ? Well, that speaks for itself! All of their wines were very good. I, being a red guy, was delightfully surprised by the Rosato De Nebbiolo. Be sure to take a walk through their farm and pay a little attention to the base of the walking paths... very impressed with all round pond has to offer.”
“Add this place to your list! I ate here multiple times during our stay in Napa and locals would recommend it too. The quesadillas are massive and can easily be shared.”
“Loved the site! Not quite the range of wines other places had but perfect for a relaxing afternoon on the porch! The Sauvignon blanc and Merlot were a huge favorite! The staff was also incredibly kind. Grateful for the cheese/snack between the wines to get the full effect! Thank you for a lovely tasting!”
“We had such a great tasting even though this was our 3rd for the day...which is max for Napa. Every wine was enjoyable, our wine host was so fun and answered every crazy question we asked. Then he picked a final tasting based on what we liked which ended up being our favorite!”
“So we found ourselves needing some good food after tasting GREAT GRAPES at Caymas in Rutherford. We happened upon "The Grill" and sat at the bar. Our lovely bartender, Kelsi set it up and it was fantastic. Very attentive and a wealth of knowledge of the food and wine. I had the prime rib dip and it was excellent. Pared with a Kettle One dirty martini and finished with a lovely Pinot!! It's loud and lovely this place. People are friendly and the atmosphere engaging. Highly recommend popping-in if you find yourself wondering where to have a delicious meal with great service. I'll be BACK!!”
“We arrived in Glen Ellen after a long car ride. I chose to crash at the hotel, but my husband wasn't going to miss a chance to eat at Glen Ellen Star. A week later I am still hearing about the other-worldly bananas foster he had for dessert! :-) We love this place so much that when we plan a weekend getaway we stay in Glen Ellen and drive over the hills to visit Napa and St. Helena just to be near our favorite restaurant, the Glen Ellen Star.”
“Stoped here with friends for dinner. None of us have ever been here so we went in with open minds and ready to be fed some good food!! So many choices to dine. Inside the restaurant, outside tables or cute yurts that seem to seat about 4 comfortably. Inside is beautiful and rustic. Very comfortable not pretentious. We were given menus but really didn't understand the process until our food server explained that side dishes are served family style in Le Cruset casserole dishes, you just need to pick a couple of proteins to go with them. Our choices: a full loaf of sourdough, fresh picked veggies and their own dip, braised leeks that are meant to be served cold, a whole deboned chicken and a filet of sturgeon. Everything was beyond incredible!! So much flavor!! Everything was extremely fresh. We kept making yum noises and saying OMG after tasting each dish. We couldn't have been happier. All our dishes seemed to compliment each other so well. Our food server was SO KNOWLEDGEABLE...she knew just the right wine to suggest with it and we took her suggestion. She really went ABOVE and BEYOND her job. No I can see whay she was training someone...she really knows the fine art of turning someone's dinner into an experience!! I wish I would have taken pictures but we were too busy eating. 5 stars Charter Oak! You exceeded in all aspects!”
“The hand pulled mozzarella. That is all that needs to be said. If you come here you MUST order the hand pulled mozzarella. All the other food was really good, but I cannot say enough about the mozzarella. Would recommend with the house made pesto.”
“So our family has a friendly competition to locate the best fish tacos anywhere. And I am a chili relleno snob so we stopped here on my daughter-in-law's suggestion and unfortunately she wins or maybe fortunately? The fish tacos were better than anything I've ever had and the chili Anna was above average so I can strongly recommend this place for the food. We had to wait about 10 minutes at the register even though they were open at 11:00 which bothers me a little bit because if you're going to open the front door you should be ready to go. But other than that the food came out promptly and was beyond amazing”
“I have been here multiple occasions, food is always exquisite. Tacos Al Pastor are a Must. Today our server offered their new Addition to their appetizer list: chicharrones. Crispy on the outside soft on the inside. Two chicharrones ordered and devoured within minutes.”
“My wife and I had dinner earlier tonight. We shared Sashimi, Caesar Salad, Gnudi, and Black Cod. All were excellent except for the Black Cod which had great flavors but was drowned in oil. Service was excellent although a bit on the fast side. WIth those courses and no desert, we were done in under an hour. Wine prices were on the high side, so we took advantage of the $25 corkage fee. The joint was jumping and quite noisy, but it was still possible to converse. We will definitely return!”
“Absolutely amazing service, quality, and menu options! Spoke with the owner who provided evidence of their ingredient adherence to health over simplicity, and the ability to cater to unique dietary needs. Some of the best, wholesome service I've ever experienced!Dietary restrictions: GF and dairy free aware and able to provide. The only place I've seen stock non-dairy cheese for their menu items!”
“My family and I have eaten at Farmstead many, many times, and the service, food, drinks and ambience is always great and a wonderful experience. The food and wine selections perfectly complement the flavors for an elevated dining experience. The portions are generous, especially the Heritage St. Louis Ribs and the California Arborio Rice - definitely shareable plates. The desserts are always on point. My favorite is the Scharffen Berger Chocolate Cream Pie - house made with a thick graham cracker crust and whipped cream. If you are looking for a true farm to table experience, showcasing fresh and flavorful ingredients from their garden, ranch and vineyards, Farmstead delivers. Price: $$$ Food: ***** Service: ***** Cuisine: American Farmhouse I highly recommend Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch!”
“The food was great. The cornbread was actually better than my cornbread surprisingly and I make a really great cornbread. The service was good. The ambience was nice. I definitely will be back and bringing more friends.”
“If you ever have the opportunity to dine at the Gatehouse Restaurant at the CIA you must! The best and most innovative food you will find. We have dined at Michelin restaurants and this was matching the experience. Our server Abby (student of CIA) was amazing. Personable, knowledgeable and professional.”
“The seven different meals with seven wine pairings were AMAZING!Each wine enhanced the flavor of the dishes perfectly, making both the foods and the wines incredibly enjoyable. The Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon were our favorites. It was a highly satisfying time with my parents. Ann welcomed and guided us was exceptionally passionate, creating a comfortable atmosphere. Chef John also skillfully introduced the delicious dishes, allowing us to thoroughly enjoy the lunch. I love to recommend this place to all my family and friends!”
“Wonderful place. We tried all the specials. Bean soup (delicious). Pot roast (so tender). Beignets (straight from New Orleans).I really appreciated the portions, and that they were willing to split the entrées between me and my partner without any hassle. The wine list is also above reproach. Great variety of Sonoma county and external wines. Looking at you Bonny Doon from Aptos. When we come back to Glen Ellen, this will be on the list to visit again.”
“We initially did not intend to do any tasting here. We originally intended to go to another winery and then we decided to squeeze Hall in since it was included in our hotel stay. We knew nothing about Hall going in. We were pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the tasting room was as well as how much we enjoyed the wine. I'm trying to enjoy more red wine as opposed to white and this place gave me a huge push in that direction. The wine was great. Lastly, I will say how great Joego was. He was entertaining as well as giving us a lot of great information on their wine. In the end, we didn't end up going to that other winery at all but we were completely happy with that. Hall was the perfect winery to end our stay in Napa Valley”
“Nestled conveniently between tastings, this spot proved to be the perfect lunch haven. The food was exceptional, perfectly complementing our day of exploration. One standout dish was the appetizer of mozzarella on toast—an absolute delight!I highly recommend this spot for anyone in need of a satisfying meal during their tasting adventures. With its great food and cozy ambiance, it's a gem not to be missed!”
“There’s a reason Pride has almost a perfect 5 star review. Excellent wine and a gorgeous winery with cave tour. The views of the vineyards are spectacular.Let’s start with the 15 min drive up the hill, which gains about 2000 ft in elevation. Lots of turns so those who struggle with car sickness should take note. You’ll pass gorgeous vineyards as you meander through a thick canopy of forest. The tasting room and facilities are beautiful. Lots of photo opportunities throughout the grounds. Nicole was our guide and she was a joy.The tour of the cave was my favorite. You can smell the oak and wine as they are aging hundreds of barrels. There were at least 3 tastings inside the cave and we also got to experience blending some cab with our merlot. They happened to be pouring a 2005 Merlot and allowing a purchase allocation of one bottle. We did not hesitate and promptly purchased one.Don’t miss this experience. You will not be disappointed.”
“We just returned home to Ohio after having visited Caymus in Napa. Elizabeth was our host and she was fabulous. We are a long-term fan of Caymus and have been there several times a year. We love the wine but we enjoy the experience as much or more. We would highly recommend them. We will definitely be back. Love, Bockhorsts”
“The pastries, coffee and other baked goods are so memorable. I don't know how someone could just get one thing! The staff had electric personalities and very quick, which got people moving. There was about five people ahead of me but I was served in less than five minutes it felt like. I got an oatmeal latte with plenty of pastries. This is a must go to bakery! There's an outside and indoor seating area. Plenty of room for friends, family, and your pets!”
“Omg ? I just discovered this taco truck recently - I work in Yountville and everything is so expensive there!! The other place that I regularly go is the deli but I was getting tired of my turkey sandwich every day. I’ve had the taco salad (it’s not on the menu board but just ask for it) the nacho’s and 3 Street tacos ? it is all SUPER DELICIOUS!! Cash only so you have to come prepared!!”
“Nestled on a hilltop with spectacular views of Napa valley to complement the amazing wines. Lots of places to picnic and a wine bar if you aren't able to get a wine tasting reservation.”
“Overall 10/10 a rare gem in qualityThe service was excellent reminding me of a Michelin restaurant thanks to Sandra she made sure our party of 8 was well taken care of.Food was excellent and I truly enjoyed all the meats especially the shrimp.Ambiance is beautiful and unassuming. One of the true amazing buffets”
“The food was very good, some of the pasta dishes were a bit small and the pasta sometimes overcooked. Overall this is a really cute place, and we did enjoy coming here. In the morning you can see them making fresh pasta through the window, which is very cool as well!”
“It was a very special and unexpected experience for us. Ramone S., our server, was excellent. Very personable, knowledgeable and attentive in the best way. His team was charming and lovely and supported him and spoiled us flawlessly. truly hoping it's not a once in a lifetime opportunity.♥️ yes”
