“My wife and I had dinner earlier tonight. We shared Sashimi, Caesar Salad, Gnudi, and Black Cod. All were excellent except for the Black Cod which had great flavors but was drowned in oil. Service was excellent although a bit on the fast side. WIth those courses and no desert, we were done in under an hour. Wine prices were on the high side, so we took advantage of the $25 corkage fee. The joint was jumping and quite noisy, but it was still possible to converse. We will definitely return!”
“Omg ? I just discovered this taco truck recently - I work in Yountville and everything is so expensive there!! The other place that I regularly go is the deli but I was getting tired of my turkey sandwich every day. I’ve had the taco salad (it’s not on the menu board but just ask for it) the nacho’s and 3 Street tacos ? it is all SUPER DELICIOUS!! Cash only so you have to come prepared!!”
“Basically a Garden of Eden... but better, because this garden has Fried Chicken instead of fruit. Tucked behind "ad hoc," is a gravel path that leads into "addendum" -- admittedly thought it was going to be more hype than anything given the attributions, location, and the ubiquitous category it specialized in... but it turned out to be the most impressively delicious fried chicken ever. Frankly I didn't know fried chicken could be so good -- it wasn't greasy, the inside which was juicy and extremely balanced and seasoned through-and-through, the outside was perfectly crunchy with a good consistency, and the finishing touches of salt and rosemary. The side items faded into the background, including the understandably pricey added-on caviar item that didn't really add to the experience headlined by the fried chicken... although the champagne (that comes with the caviar) did work well with fried chicken. Deceivingly casual, besides the location, the entire no frills service format involving ordering out of one shack, picking up at another (bigger) shack, and self seating at basic picnic tables... great for any kind of party whether single travelers to families.”
“We came here for dinner after a tasting across the street at Jessup Cellars. Everything we chose from the Happy Hour & regular menu was excellent, as were our drinks and wine menu choices. We were a party of 6. Our server was extremely nice, knowledgeable, and helpful.”
“We just returned home to Ohio after having visited Caymus in Napa. Elizabeth was our host and she was fabulous. We are a long-term fan of Caymus and have been there several times a year. We love the wine but we enjoy the experience as much or more. We would highly recommend them. We will definitely be back. Love, Bockhorsts”
“No doubt is one of the best, the oyster and pearl is the best! The service is definitely top of the line! You have to experience this place! Also very nice landscape.”
“Had lunch here on Feb. 13th. It was included in the wine trolley tour package I purchased. We were served 6 courses. Started up with a salad. I forgot what kind of greens in it. It has apples and cheese. The dressing is delightful. Then pasta came with red sauce. It was good enough, although, pasta was overcooked. Then 3 typesof pizza came out after. Pizzas were good enough, but all of them are on the salty side. Then after, we had pistachio ice cream for desert. And that was the best one of all that was served to us. The server lady was attentive.”
“My family treated me for my birthday at Ad Hoc this past weekend, and it was fantastic. The Buttermilk fried chicken was incredibly moist and flavorful, with perfectly crispy skin. Even my picky eater approved! We also enjoyed the grilled pork chop, which had a tantalizing smoky flavor and paired beautifully with the horseradish cream sauce. The fried ricotta is an absolute must-have; it's irresistibly delicious. While the Pistachio Cake was good, it truly shined when paired with a cup of coffee. The servers provided excellent service from start to finish, making our experience truly enjoyable. We had a wonderful time.”
“We had an absolutely wonderful time. Not only is the tasting room incredible, but the wine is even better! We also added the bread and butter experience, which was flavorful and enjoyable. We will certainly be visiting again.”
“First Time in Yountville, Napa area. My wife and I are not really wine people and between the both of us we know only a little about grape varieties. We decided we had to do a tasting while we were up here. Thanks to Manny we had an awesome time. Super knowledgeable and down to earth. I’d say this place is great for both novices and expert enthusiasts. Thanks again to Manny for showing us some real Californian Hospitality to two New Yorkers.”
“We love to taste up to 70 wines in 2 oz or 5 oz glass before buying a bottle at this wine bar and shop. I chatted with VA vets who drop by for a sip, locals, and Yountville travelers. More fun: there's a private tasting with Selah cab sauv on Th April 11 whose winemaker is Thomas Rivers Brown! You also might run into a master somm there on occasion.Parking: Park in free lot behind Wells Fargo Bank and Wine Country Connection or free onstreet parking.Wheelchair accessibility: VA vets can access shop easily in motorized wheelchairs.”
“Extremely loud inside with tables so close to each other it's as if you are having dinner with others and hear, participate in their conversations. If weather permits get a table outside, which we requested amd were moved to for a much better experience. Buyer lettuce salad was excellent and nicely dressed. Steak tartare was ok , lacked seasoning. Chicken dish was good , trout had good flavor, i asked for the town butter sauce on the side amd glad I did cause it was way too much that would have taken away from fish flavor and made it super unhealthy . Fries were perfect and so was the profiterol dessert . Great service .”
“This is a charming French bistro. Our server, Ian, only added to the charm with his warmth, efficiency, and kindness. As an appetizer, we ordered the crispy pig's foot. My dinner partner was reluctant to try that but fell completely in love with it, which made me laugh. We shared two entrées: the fabulous Boeuf Bourguinon with extraordinarily tender beef and the chicken breasts (a bit dry) in a divine Camembert cream sauce. OMG. That sauce shall live supreme in my memory. We finished by sharing the dark and light chocolate mousse cake, which was very dry. We actually don't recommend that. All in all, this was a memorable meal, which we enjoyed very much. Thank you, Ian, for making it very special.”
“JCB Tasting Salon in downtown Yountville was not on our itinerary for our trip when we found ourselves walking through the front doors with a couple of women we had met down the street at Priest Ranch. We discovered the one of the women had a membership at JCB, so not only did we have the opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine while looking at the opulent and extravagant tasting room and the private tasting room in the back of the property. While the exterior looks fairly nondescript, which may be part of the point because you would never think what lies beneath the doors is anything interesting, the interior is like experiencing an acid trip in an extravagant Liberace way but definitely memorable and fun. Their private tasting room, screams, "Take some selfies," due to the wild and artsy furniture and trappings. The rose is also very tasty, very enjoyable, and a great wine to prepare for dinner.”
“Great location and delicious Mexican food. Prices actually not bad for Yountville. Wait-staff was very attentive and we were lucky to get a table without reservations.”
