“After venturing around the Napa Valley for some wine tasting, I decided to visit the historic town of Calistoga to satisfy my sweet tooth. What better way than to have some delicious ice cream? This takes me to "Mis Raices", one of just a couple ice cream shops in this neck of the woods. Located directly on Lincoln Ave (and adjacent to Washington St.) in downtown Calistoga, this place underwent modifications and came back with a new name/owner in March 2023. Previous to that, it was once known as "Cafe San Marco". I came here during the afternoon of Saturday 4/6/24 at around 4:30pm. One thing I will say is that this place is very small and not even any seating for no more than 2 customers. However, as small as it is, they have a lot to offer in terms of selection. Looking at the menu board, there is quite a bit in the way of Italian sodas (over 25 syrups) and even Red Bull fusion drinks to give you that added energy. As far as the ice cream goes, there was at least a dozen varieties. After narrowing down my choices, I decided to go with a small cup of their "Pineapple Coconut" for $5.00. I will say that the ice cream was absolutely delicious, refreshing, and very creamy. It was set at the perfect chilled temperature and for the value, it was a great deal. I also wanted to add that the service was above average while this place had a quaint and cozy vibe to it. Hours are generous as they are opened for business Thursday through Tuesday while only being closed on Wednesday (as of 2024). With that said and done, I am giving "Mis Raices" a perfect five-star rating.“

“After spending most of the day wine tasting and venturing around the Napa Valley, I figure a sweet, creamy dessert would be the ideal treat after a hearty lunch. This takes us on a trip to the small community of Calistoga where I got to try out "Calistoga Creamery. Located directly on Lincoln Ave (Highway 29) and adjacent to Fair Way, this place has been serving up delicious ice cream dating back to 2017. Hours are also very generous as they're opened for business 7 days a week from 12:30-9:30pm. I arrived here during the afternoon of Saturday 4/6/2024 at around 3:50pm. Parking can be challenging but this area surprisingly has a ton of available street parking as well as "Cal Mart" which is a block away. Keep in mind that the this place has a very small interior with no seating. However, there is ample outdoor seating for the more comfortable days (weather permitting). All of their ice cream and frozen yogurt is organic and made fresh. Since I had eaten a fairly big lunch, I ended up going with one small scoop of their "Cookies & Cream"; priced at $5.00 (including tax). During my visit, it was absolutely packed with customers so it was tough to really look at their entire selection. And during my visit, there was only one employee that took the order, scooped your ice cream, and rung up the transaction. Kudos to her for doing a stellar job. With that said and done, "Calistoga Creamery" is an above average ice cream parlor with a nice variety to choose from. When I first entered, I noticed the aromatic scent of cinnamon as they actually use a small triangular waffle cone in that flavor to add to your ice cream cone or cup. Great location, excellent customer service, decent prices, and tasty ice cream is why I give this place an above average four star rating.“

“There's a line out the door before they open?! I was not aware. I waited in my car when the line was forming. Well now I know, and so do you. Such a lovely place to get loaves of bread, ice cream and pastries. They are so French in there and they are so good at pronouncing everything so beautifully. I was going to take more pictures, but I was too busy figuring out what I was going to get. The line went so quick so don't be intimidated. As we entered they had a little sample of cheesy bread. I love it!! So happy I finally tried it. I bought a sourdough loaf, and a Marie Antoinette chocolate pastry. It was delicious and oh so fresh. I made an open grilled cheese with some wagon wheel bread, and tomato bisque soup and this was just the bread I needed! My new favorite bakery for sure!“

Yogurt Farms Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt • $
1224 Mendocino Ave, Santa Rosa - 11.49 miles

“I've been coming to Yogurt Farms as a kid for so long. It is so nostalgic and I still remember the styrofoam cups they used and the portions were generous. With time, the management has changed and now it's smaller of course due to ownership and shrinkflation. Kind of disappointing that you can't taste all the flavors since they limit it to two per person and this isn't helpful as an indecisive person. The raspberry was good but something felt off about it. Probably since it was sugar free. The chocolate fudge was great. I ended up ordering the peanut butter and the mango tart. The regular tart and tart flavors in general are so good. The yogurt tart is super comparable to pinkberry's so I would say these two are my favorites. Very casual setting and just reminds me of warm summer days. They will be closing for a little bit and opening back up“

“The smoothies are to die for as we ordered the Berry Good for You smoothie which includes real fresh strawberry, berries, yogurt and protein powder. The young lady who just started two weeks ago was so polite and nice while making the smoothie and assembling the best healthy smoothie we've had in a long time. She was so friendly and a great example of the good employees Toppings company hires. Thank you very much. The shop is located in a quiet shopping center next to a Japanese, Mexican restaurant and Togo's so you can have a nice meal and finish up with a frozen yogurt or smoothie at Toppings. Parking is ample and easy right in front of the store.“

Yogurt Time Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt • $
6599 Montecito Blvd, Santa Rosa - 8.71 miles

“You come to the heavy glass door, feeling the weight of your decision, knowing it was right. You earned this, you tell yourself. The day was long, and the challenges were many. So you heave that door open, and walk in, intensely conscious of the gravitic decisions to be made, just ahead. Without pause, you whip your head to the right, and behold an abundant, neatly stacked pile of paper cups, beckoning you. Your cup may be either conspicuously yellow, or not yellow; but either way, Its' destiny and yours are now intertwined. Unhesitatingly, and with the same air of confidence that you used to throw open that hefty door, you proceed to grab the smooth, bulbous handle, give it an authoritative yank, and hearing the characteristic low rumble you coil an intimate quantity of yogurts into said cup. You are not certain if the pineapple whip is going to mingle well with dutch chocolate. But, like an entitled 18th century imperialist, unabashedly mixing cultural traditions; unencumbered by convention, you sail into the dark and swirling waters of terra incognita, and never look back. The yogurt is in that cup now, and that cup is in your hand. But now, tempted by myriad bins of crumpled oreos, brilliantly-hued hard candies and gummy creatures, you demure, and realizing you are a grown up now, and yogurt is refined! Not some childish Halloween fantasy! you instead sprinkle some nuts on that majestic heap. Lots of nuts! But not just any nuts, Almonds! That king of nuts! You feel a sudden rush of pomposity and righteousness. You chose nuts. But then, looking down, horrified, you realize that your yogurt resembles that of a bitter, old, sad and shriveled codger, who has lost all sight of joy, beaten down by life, choosing only the most conservative of toppings from some long begotten era, self-flagelating upon the altar of righteous maturity. So, unbroken in spirit, with a renewed sense of purpose, you toss back the metal hood of that last refrigerated topping bin, scoop a healthy portion of tiny colorful juice balls on your now nearly full cup, and top it with a slightly dessicated brownie square. Now you think, now my yogurt is complete, a true expression of my triumphant vanquishment of those innermost fears and reservations, a reflection of my worth as can only be embodied by a mushy frozen confection. Still basking in that ebullient glow, you pay at the counter, marveling at the density and weight of that ephemeral creation, unspoilt in it's aesthetic symmetry and form. So enamored by your creation, you nearly walk out without even a thought of napkins or a spoon, but the clerk reminds you; for what is it, if not to eat? You've made it, and now... now you will eat it. And it will be good.“

“We hired Noble Folk for our wedding for mini desserts (assorted cupcakes & apple pie), our wedding cake and their ice cream cart. The desserts, especially the ice cream cart was one of the biggest hits of our wedding! A few guests even told us they went to the shop the next day to get ice cream again!Christian and his team were so easy and fun to work with. The cake tasting was also easy and efficient. I liked bringing it home so we could turn it into a fun night of tasting with our parents to rank our favorites.I was nervous the cake would just be for decoration, but our wedding cake was not only beautiful but delicious. Really no complaints for Noble Folk, thanks for making our special day so sweet! :)“
