“Confessions of a Pastry Fiend: My Downfall (and Triumph) at the Downtown Bakery & Creamery Rain pattered outside, drumming a melody of comfort food cravings. Healdsburg Plaza beckoned, and nestled within its embrace, the Downtown Bakery & Creamery whispered sweet nothings (of pastry, naturally). We'd admired it from afar on past visits, but today, curiosity and rumbling stomachs took the lead. I, in my infinite wisdom (or perhaps denial), thought a biscotti with my chamomile tea sufficed. Pistachio and cherry, it promised, and oh, how it delivered! One bite and I was Alice tumbling down a delicious rabbit hole, compelled to sample every sugary wonder within reach. Macarons that sang opera in my mouth! Almond tarts that waltzed on my taste buds! I was a pastry puppet, strings controlled by the friendly lady at the counter, who, bless her soul, kept whispering, "Just one more..." But alas, even my bottomless pit of a stomach has limits (although, admittedly, those limits get blurry around macarons). I emerged victorious (mostly), vowing to return on a sunny day. Then, with a coffee in hand and a sugar-powered skip in my step, I'd conquer those park benches, one pastry sample at a time. Trust me, the crumbs tell a delicious tale. So, dear reader, if you find yourself in Healdsburg, heed my warning: the Downtown Bakery & Creamery is a siren song of butter and sugar. Resist at your peril (but don't say I didn't warn you!).“
“This was such a treat. This is a Latino ice cream shop, so there are all kinds of Latin flavors in addition to the usual choices. We stuck with vanilla and strawberry and they were delicious. The place is immaculately clean and cheerful, and the manager who served us was super-friendly and helpful. There are a couple of tables inside and a couple of benches outside.NOTE: Susy's is tricky to find but worth it. It's in a small strip shopping center of Latino businesses. One building runs perpendicular to the road--it has a pizza place near the road, then a couple of vacant stores, then Susy's at the far end.“

Such a good texture, and they staff are always friendly and helpful. The shop always feels so nice and fun! The whole vibe there is just the best.“
“We love this place. We have been to both locations (Santa Rosa the other one). Their ice cream is delish and good variety of flavors. They offer tasty treats as well. My only gripe, i wish they would change their cupcake GF option, it is always the same (been that way for years). My husband is a fan of their pies. This location gets busy during the warmer months so be prepared to wait in line if you come to the square during a hot day!“

The sisters behind this business, Leandra and Jazmin, are passionate about creating unique and delicious flavors that reflect the seasons and the local produce. They also make their own jams, cakes, and candy to add to their ice cream creations.I visited their scoop shop in the Guerneville Bank Club, a historic building that also houses a bakery, a coffee shop, and a museum. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I tried the honey lavender and the brown butter pecan flavors, and they were both amazing. The honey lavender was light and floral, while the brown butter pecan was rich and nutty. The ice cream was creamy and smooth, and the portions were generous.I also noticed that they offer ice cream cocktails and ice cream cakes, which sounded intriguing. I would love to come back and try them someday. Nimble & Finn’s is definitely one of the best ice cream places I have ever been to, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves ice cream and wants to support a local business.“

“We came for the ice cream but would return for the paletas! Loved all of the paletas we tried - especially the cookies and cream, pistachio, and pineapple. They were perfectly sweet and refreshing and had just the right amount of flavor. The fruit bars had real chunks of fruit!The ice cream was tasty, too, but more standard. we enjoyed the cookies and cream and strawberry.“
“I NEED YOUR ATTENTION I am going through finances, receipts for entire year and noticed an inconsistency with receipts from here. So my understanding is cups and sizes are different prices correct? So someone getting the exact same order and cup size everytime the price is the same should be? What changes it?I only noticed the price is more than what you charge. By Oz and measurements yes price changes but same order each time you aren't charging the full amount. It's only by 5 to 15 cents each time but your business is losing money doing this.Its also not the same cashier each time it's someone different. So, I am not sure where in the system it's going wrong. But the cents add up, so I just wanted to let you know. =)“

“Yum.Always a tasty treat. Love coming here for an after school treat for the kiddos. Also first topping is free, which is amazing!!! It’s the little things in life right? Well sprinkles are little but most places (over) charge for that something like that so I appreciate it being free cause my kids really love rainbow sprinkles. Also it’s pretty cool to see them make the ice cream for special orders like the unicorn sundae.“
“What a cute quaint little place. I'm so exited for Forestville to have such a hidden treasure. We passed by late-7:55 pm on a Wednesday night. I was unsteady about going in due to the time. I was ready for them to say sorry we are closed. They indeed did not. I was cautious and away that they did not have all day- or night, so I quickly asked what his popular one was. Caramel crack and Dulce de leche brownie. We were not disappointed! Yummy yummy in my tummy. It was great! I will definitely be back. (Hopefully not so late)“
