“I am surprised about how good this place is. I can see how much efforts and details that the chef put into the food preparation. I can see how staff are trained and selected. Environment is without a doubt very nice and upscale. The only minor thing I noticed is that the wait staff didn't tell me it cost extra to refill your coffee. In general...Love it.“
“My husband enjoyed his burger. I thought the bread starter we ordered was very dry ($12). I ordered a salad specifically for the candied walnuts but they forgot to add the walnuts and it took me forever to flag somehow down to remedy the situation (there was zero flavor in the salad otherwise-just butter lettuce and dressing-major next time remember the walnuts and maybe add some dried fruit??). Salad was "meh".“
“This restaurant is a very aesthetically pleasing restaurant located in Calistoga. It is located a few blocks away from the main downtown area but is a short walk to the local shops nearby. The food was amazing and was prepared quickly. Service was great and the restaurant was able to accommodate for a gluten free diet. I would love to give this place 5 stars but I tried to call the restaurant at several different times throughout the day on different days with no answer.“

“This is a nice spot on Lincoln Ave. It's definitely on the higher end, but most of the restaurants in town are. The ambiance was pleasant - classy but comfortable. I really liked all the classic pictures of Calistoga that they had on the walls. The menu has a little bit of everything - seafood, pasta, steak, chicken. I had the chicken abruzzi. The sauce was very good. I was excited for the accompanying polenta, but the kitchen mistakenly thought polenta was not gluten free and gave me mashed potatoes instead. I didn't want to waste anything, so I just accepted the potatoes, but I was bummed. The waitstaff was apologetic and offered to give me a side, but I declined. My husband had the paella and loved it. Good amount of spice and lots of meat and seafood. The sausage was a little tough, but it didn't detract from the dish. We also shared the lemon pie with berry compote and it was tasty. Also, side note - the bread and butter they offer the table while you're waiting was dry and flavorless, according to my husband.“
“Stoped here with friends for dinner. None of us have ever been here so we went in with open minds and ready to be fed some good food!! So many choices to dine. Inside the restaurant, outside tables or cute yurts that seem to seat about 4 comfortably. Inside is beautiful and rustic. Very comfortable not pretentious. We were given menus but really didn't understand the process until our food server explained that side dishes are served family style in Le Cruset casserole dishes, you just need to pick a couple of proteins to go with them. Our choices: a full loaf of sourdough, fresh picked veggies and their own dip, braised leeks that are meant to be served cold, a whole deboned chicken and a filet of sturgeon. Everything was beyond incredible!! So much flavor!! Everything was extremely fresh. We kept making yum noises and saying OMG after tasting each dish. We couldn't have been happier. All our dishes seemed to compliment each other so well. Our food server was SO KNOWLEDGEABLE...she knew just the right wine to suggest with it and we took her suggestion. She really went ABOVE and BEYOND her job. No I can see whay she was training someone...she really knows the fine art of turning someone's dinner into an experience!! I wish I would have taken pictures but we were too busy eating. 5 stars Charter Oak! You exceeded in all aspects!“
“If you ever have the opportunity to dine at the Gatehouse Restaurant at the CIA you must! The best and most innovative food you will find. We have dined at Michelin restaurants and this was matching the experience. Our server Abby (student of CIA) was amazing. Personable, knowledgeable and professional.“
“We had a large party and so I made reservations. The service was good even with a ton of peopleI loved my spaghetti and meatballs.I'm picky about these "anybody can cook it" type dinners, not true of course.More likely anybody can ruin it.Eddie's was really good.Parking was easy ..Thanks allKid-friendliness: We had several young people theyThey were welcomed and catered to“
“Came here for dinner on our last night in Napa and I was so glad we came. The service was top notch and the patio seating was very calming and beautiful. Our cocktails were great and my husband got the wings appetizer which were yummy. I had the pasta dish with shrimp and I cleaned the plate clean. My husband loved his burger and we ended our meal with the carrot cake, which was perfect! I can't wait to come back!“
“We had a hugely successful catering event for 25 people with Zoftig. Their catering staff was organized, kind and communicative. I opted to pick up the food which was ready on time, and was perfectly fresh. The sandwiches were packed with toppings and the party platters were well constructed. Huge hit!“
“We were on our way from Napa to Calistoga and decided to stop by St. Helena for some shopping and to grab some breakfast. It was Saturday morning and we got there at about 11 am. We got so lucky because we were able to get seated right away, even though the place was packed. I wouldn't be surprised if there are long wait times, especially on the weekend. I think the fact that it was raining helped us to get seated quickly. So charming inside, absolutely no frills but you can tell by going in that they have that home cooked charm. I was surprised that their menu was large, quite a diner experience. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with fries. The portions were big and I just had half my sandwich and some fries at the diner since I was supposed to be eating light before going to the spa. The sandwich was delicious, simple but done right. Staff was friendly, bathroom was clean. The establishment does not have their own parking, street parking only. I highly recommend this place.“
“Been twice, had their chicken which is so good but this time we tried dishes and they are also amazing. Everything we had was flavorful. Service was exceptional despite how busy they were. The risotto and roasted acorn were our favorite dishes. Tip: Bring your own wine or order their delicious cocktails. Their wine by the glass pours are a little stingy.“
“I took my friend here on a Tuesday for brunch. We were seated right away. My friend had the waffle with fresh fruit, and homemade whipped cream. I had a wonderful bowl of hot oatmeal garnished with dried fruits and maple syrup. I had the delicious French pressed coffee and heated cream. Good food and reasonable prices. I will return.“
“Had a great table in a great setting, great service with Paul, and great food. Lucky us! I have one tip, if you are on a low salt diet this is gonna be hard to pick out something. This is not a criticism. I did find it at the upper end of my personal tolerance, but please understand the food was delicious. Not only delicious but refreshingly creative. We eat by splitting courses. Started with the pimento cheese bread (brioche), this is not a stand-alone ap but a gooey topping on bread that is light, airy, and rich. It went well with their well above average Negroni. Creativity kicked in with the tacos, probably all of them are good. Our pick was pastrami tacos. Very fun. I've heard the duck choice is good. Next were the lamb meatballs. Some people complain about the gaminess of lamb, but I complain when it isn't gamey-lamby enough. If you like mild lamb, their choice of meat is great. My personal preferences aside, it was a very good dish. Finished with a very nice and just-right panna cotta. This place is definitely going into our rotation (The Santa Rosa, CA rotation: B&B, Jackson's, Grossmans, Ca Bianca, Cascabel, Yeti)“
“Elegant, unique, delicious. Worth every dollar. The service is exceptional- professional, timely, attentive. Pleasant dining experience with truly inspired dishes. We have had excellent meals around the world and Press in Mt. Helena is one of the best meals we have enjoyed.“
“Started with happy hour appetizers and cocktails. Great gin Martini for the price, Brussels were yummy, beet fries were soggy, siracha mayo overpowered the flavor in my opinion. Our server assumed we were just there for HH, brought us a dessert menu and offered the check before we ordered dinner.... Ooops. Loved the miso pasta with meatballs enough to come back for them !!“
“What an amazing experience!! My husband and I had the pleasuring of celebrating our honeymoon here and were blown away about EVERYTHING! Our waiter Adam was such a highlight as he described each dish with so much enthusiasm. Do not think twice about the wine pairing as Derick’s pairings truly elevate the flavors of each dish. Every single dish was crafted with such care, uniqueness and had such creative flavors. The dinning room had giant windows into the kitchen and we loved that we could watch the harmonious execution of service. But to top-off our experience, we were escorted to the kitchen and got the pleasure of meeting chef Rogelio and his amazing staff! Also, there are tables inside the kitchen that you can request. We wish we had know to do that but we thoroughly enjoyed the intimacy of our honeymoon dinner :)“
