“My friend and I shared a wine tasting which consisted of three small glasses of tasting size. You get to pick the three wines that you want. Not a huge selection., but works. We decided to eat there and I got the crabcakes which were pretty tasty a spicy sauce on top, and there were bell peppers and with the crabcakes. My friend got salmon with the skin was very crispy which he likes but the inside was too rare and he had to ask them to cook it more. It came back, still a bit too rare, and we fed that to the seagulls….The couscous salad that came with it was the best thing of all. I would not run back there but if you’re hungry and in that exact area, it’s a convenient place to grab a bite to eat. They have a couple of different patios outside, and the staff was very friendly. The one remark my friend said was that if they’re going to leave the salmon that raw like they said they usually do, they should ask people how they like it cooked. He loves sushi, but it was too rare for him being that it was salmon. It was a great day to get away from the high heat of Sonoma. We went from the 90s to the 60s wearing a jacket. He had never gone by the school house from Alford Hitchcock The Birds, so we did that on the way out.“

“GF enjoys their clan chowder, I went with a pulled pork sandwich. Was very messy but overall a tasty eat. They don't have a fryer (!) so no fries or fish and chips but they seem to have other good options. I wouldn't call them cheap but they aren't expensive either. We ate outside and enjoyed our day away from the heat.“

“My wife and I had a very nice experience at Drake's Restaurant. The food was great, and the staff was on point with everything. They were attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our visit and would definitely come back again.“

“We had a 7:45 reservation and we're not sat until 8 pm. It was noted on the reservation that the dinner was our anniversary celebration, but we were sat at a tiny table in the middle of the restaurant and absolutely no acknowledgement of our celebration was made during our visit. Clearly a table had not been reserved. A woman walking through the restaurant actually sneezed on us as she passed by - we were in the middle of traffic. The appetizers were delicious and my husband's cod dinner was very good as well. I got the NY strip and it was so insanely tough that I could not cut through it. We had to ask for a sharper knife and even then, after sawing for a conical length of time, the piece I got off was too tough to chew. The waiter finally addressed the issue and refunded the steak but that wasn't until after the dinner was over so I didn't get to eat a main course. I would visit again for the other good dishes, but not for a special occasion as it was a subpar experience overall.“

“We came to Coastal Kitchen at Dillon Beach Resort to celebrate my mom Angela’s birthday, and everything about the experience was outstanding: warm service, delicious food, and one of the most beautiful coastal settings anywhere.

But what really made the visit unforgettable happened after the meal. My motorcycle ran out of fuel, and the team went far beyond what anyone would expect to help us. First the restaurant staff jumped in, then the gift shop team, then the maintenance crew. Together, they found an old hose, helped us fashion a siphon, and got us back on the road. They genuinely cared, and they stayed with us until we solved the problem.

As the owner of Angela’s Organic Ice Cream and Iggy’s Burger, hospitality is something I think about every day. My name is Iggy, and together with my mom Angela, we’re Sonoma and Petaluma locals. We know great hospitality when we experience it, and what we received at Coastal Kitchen was exactly the kind of service we strive to deliver ourselves—treating guests like family.
