“Stopped by for lunch and enjoyed the clam chowder, fish stew (better of the two), and delicious crab sandwiches. The sandwiches were the highlight with lots of crab served on quality buns with a hint of dill from the sauce. Parking is limited and the line can get long, but the food and the staff are excellent!“
“I stopped by for lunch on a sunny day and this was a home run. The Hitchcock wink just gilds this very pleasant spot. The Birds sits right off the water with multiple levels of scenic, outdoor seating wrapped around the little kitchen where you order and pick up. Pass the single stall bathroom, and you'll find an adjacent building set up as a coffee shop. The menu is simple, but effective. Fish Tacos: Loved them. The fish has a light, crisp batter. They're served with shredded cabbage, fresh pico de gallo, and an avocado sauce on top. Two hearty tacos to an order and so good. Artichoke Fritters: I know this is county fair food, but I loved these. I thought they might be heavy, but they were actually pretty crunchy, frilly, and delicate. They're good with the ranch on the side and a little hot sauce. The portion is honestly giant which is fun. I took my leftovers home and enjoyed them again that night!“
“We drive from Auburn to have clam chowder and a crab sandwich. It is always worth the time. It is consistently delicious.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: We are almost always able to park in their handicap parking in front.“
“My favorite spot in the area - exceptional food! The crab sandwich is a must, as is the chowder. This is my #1 of 5 chowders I have tried in the area. The crab is prepared with light mayonnaise and lemon juice so the crab is the highlight. The toasted bread with the melted havarti make this sandwich a standout! Very friendly staff and nice rustic location on the water. The crab traps in the parking lot next door give a fishing village vibe. I look forward to returning.Visited after a high 50s morning at Doran Beach - AWESOME DAY!“
“Our group had chowder, crab sandwich, fish and chips and fish tacos. The chowder Wes good, not great. Crab sandwich was really good, as was the fish and chips. Feedback on the fish tacos was that they were good but needed more fish.Parking: Parking is available down the street in the marina lot. It’s a little bit of a walk.“
“The food here was hot and delicious. The upper seating area was cozy, and the bar was chic and casual. Our server, who was new and had moved from Alabama to California in 2020, was gracious and wonderful. Many thanks to him, and to the kitchen.“
“Upon entering, we were greeted by a very kind and professional gentleman working in the fireside lounge on 4/15, who got us seated outside of his section so we could have the table we most desired.Proceeded to be served by Hallie, who was professional yet very personable. We were going to share salad and soup, but she recomended the pork chop and luckily we took her suggestion and added it on.Quick shout-out to the busser, perfect timing and we were never without whatever we needed.Okay, this pork chop. It was absolutely perfect. Ive never had anything like it. I was convinced it was sous vide but our server said they were just commited to ensuring it didnt come put dry.Youre missing out if you dont stop by to try it, and recieve some of the best service around.“
“Very popular restaurant located in the Lodge at Bodega Bay. Restaurant was full on a Saturday night. Upscale interior with nice woodwork. Wonderful place for special celebrations, gatherings with family and friends, or date night. Food was solid. Excellent customer service.“
“Delightful seafood specials with large giant cooked crabs, sweet potato fries, fresh fried fish and chips, calamari, smoked salmon, absolutely out of this world taste. My daughter loves the dishes, especially grilled cheese sandwiches. Family favorite.“
