“This was a step back in time, where you are treated as an honored guest and each course is perfection. The steaks we got were cooked perfectly to order and our waiter was attentive to all our needs without seeming to hover over the table. This was our most expensive meal on the trip, but was soooo worth it.“
“My party of 4 arrived at almost 10 pm last Saturday without reservations after a disasterous experience at Charlie Palmer's down the street. Your restaurant was SO ACCOMMODATING! It was professional, delicious and a great atmosphere. Our waiter, Brian, was excellent. No one acted as though they were closing soon, made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back soon!!!“
“Needed to pick a bit to eat last minute and managed to grab a seat at the bar. It was perfect - James was my bartender - made me perfect drink and gave me great recommendations for dinner. 6 lovely local oysters, pork chop milanese with spring vegetables, and the tiramisu I left a happy and full! Highly recommend!“
“This is a small place. I personally think exactly what you expect. Food is good. Margaritas, though a premix, sneakily strong, sweet but good. Server was super sweet, professional and accommodating. Family type atmosphere. Nothing gourmet but I’d definitely go back.“
“What a experience. The service was exceptional. The atmosphere was outstanding and the food was out of this world. I enjoyed the sea bass over pasta and sauce. The portions where huge and the flavor was out of this world. Would definitely visit again.“
“We were in town for an annual work conference and were very pleased with this restaurant. The location in downtown Napa was great, and there is public parking (on street and free in a public garage) adjacent to the building. It felt like a fun, safe location and the downtown vibe was fun. The food was great - good variety, cooked exactly to our liking and the drinks were SO good! The blood orange margarita was to die for! Our server was very friendly, service was quick and efficient and prices were very reasonable for the quality. Everything was clean, including the restrooms. We will definitely be back next year. Thank you for a great evening!“
“This is easily my favorite taqueria in Napa! I'm in love with their variety of tacos including fish (grilled or fried), carne asada, shrimp, grilled octopus, chicken, and grilled oyster. Ever since reopening under new ownership they have also brought back the salsa bar and expanded their selection of drinks which has been a nice touch. They also give really great service--especially for a non-formal restaurant.“
“Sat at the bar on a Sunday afternoon. Great selections of fresh oysters shucking in front of us. We ordered a mix plate of oysters and some smaller ones were my favorite, slightly sweet and not much aftertaste. Relatively fast service. Fried oysters were quite a good snack as well. Clam chowder was creamy and had ample amount of clams with shell attached. Great spot for a quick eat if visiting the oxbow market area.“
“we went here to get a to go order. The place was cute on the inside and the yard looks amazing! Can't wait to come back when it gets warm! We only got bean burritos, but they were delicious! Best I'd had in a long time. The chips and salsa were very good as well. We will be back!“
“Excellent food, great atmosphere and terrific service. We started with the calamari which I highly recommend. My father had small Cesar salad, I had the pear salad. My father had corn beef and cabbage and I had the appetizer meat balls which were good. Excellent experience! Highly recommend!“
“Absolutely tasty. Even the simple sushi rolls had so much flavor. Very high quality ingredients. I had the Indian chicken dish. So much flavor. We got two entries and 1 appetizer for 100 dollars out the door. Pretty reasonable considering the high end atmosphere and quality.“
“My husband, my mother and I had a lovely trip on the Napa Valley Wine Train two weeks ago. We selected the Gourmet Express Lunch experience on a Tuesday hoping it would be less crowded and that was indeed the case. The entire experience was well organized, beginning with the check-in and reception. On the train, we were seated in the dining car for the entire trip. We were pleasantly surprised at the menu options and the three courses did not disappoint. We all selected the salad to start and it was beautifully prepared and presented. For dessert, my husband selected the crème brûlée and my mother and I both selected the Lava Cake which was heavenly. They have a nice selection of wines and you can order by the glass or by the bottle. The service on the train was really impressive, our server was Michell and she did a terrific job. Without exception, everyone we encountered on the train and at the reception was professional and genuinely pleasant. We plan to go again in the autumn to enjoy another lunch and the changing colors in the Valley.“
