“We met up here for breakfast and we were happy we did. We arrived as they opened. We learned that they start serving mariscos after 9am. We had chiliquiles verdes and machaca con huevos. Both plates were delicious. The chiliquiles had a small kick (spice) to it, which I loved. Homemade tortillas came with the machaca. We also had the agua de jaimica, which was good. Service was great and ambiance was great as well. We'd definitely come back.“

I’ve traveled throughout Baja/BCS, and I would say that these are on par with those if not better. The batter was not too heavy and you could really taste the fish - the slaw + salsa was in perfect balance. I think the fish was better than the shrimp tacos, but will need to eat many more to really know.

I got the ceviche crude and it was better than fancy restaurants with stunning views of the Pacific.

Come here, eat lots, repeat.“

Matt and the staff are absolutely wonderful and made it feel like a trully welcoming establishment. The truth is that I felt every bite warm my soul and made me feel more at ease. Being able to feel calm and enjoy such an amazing meal is something special, and El Mono is special!! something you have to experience.“

“The meat quality is pretty good! Although there was a big party right before us so we had to wait for quite a bit after seated for food to be served, the dining experience was satisfying. I got the yuzu soup base, was quite refreshing. Would recommend to come early (around or before 6 pm) to avoid long waiting time.“

“Walk 10 minutes from MacArthur BART and you’ll find paradise in the form of a wine bar. Zach (head chef) and Emilio (line cook) are formerly of Verjus in San Francisco, and let’s just say we followed them across the bridge for a reason. Their expertise and attention to detail are evident in every bite — or sip! ;) On top of this, the service is impeccable. Our waiter, Nico, was a real gem! Thank God he moved from SoCal! “Small little cocina tucked around the back of a gas station in a small neighborhood. Had a nice outdoor seating area. The hostess was incredibly kind and friendly. Ordered the tuna melt and garlic fries, and wow, was it amazing. There was a steady stream of take out and dine in customers, so we could tell it was a popular local spot. We wish we lived locally and we'd eat here more. The menu has many delicious options for tacos &, burritos. WOW - What a beautiful and clear day, with just a 'hint' of fog over the Golden Gate Bridge to the ocean side. The food was Fabulous - mine was a 'classic' "Crab Louie," with lots and lots of wonderful crab, and Tiramisu for dessert! Our servers were Alex and Francisco ("Francisco:))" who attended to our every need - even politely and notably giving extra time, as I was Determined to enjoy EVERY bite of my more than delicious, Crab Louie!! “This place is very cute and casual, and the food is tasty and fresh. Excellent salmon nigiri today, very luscious. The freaky brussels (lol) were shockingly good, unusual on a sushi menu but so garlicky and good.

I’ve been here a few times over the years, but I’m leaving a review today because they go above and beyond in one particular way. They have an actual separate gluten-free menu and gluten-free soy sauce upon request. Note that we dined right when they opened so I didn’t ask about cross-contamination. However, the consideration made me feel really good about taking someone with celiac to dine here. So thoughtful. We will be back!“

“Possibly the best burrito I've ever had. I have eaten thousands of burritos and have a few favorite spots so I'm biased to my favorite spots and ready to be dissapointed when I try new ones. This burrito was perfection. It was huge and flavorful. The ratio of all the ingredients was perfect. Every ingredient from the tortilla, to the cheese, to the meat, to the rice was delicious and shined on its own. Put it all together and I was very pleasantly surprised and highly recommend this establishment. Service was attentive and friendly. Hibiscus Agua fresca was very refreshing.“

“Chinatown can be a daunting place to dine in San Francisco due to its vast authentic cuisine which is unlike anything outside of China itself. I don’t speak or read any of the dialect, but somehow managed to order food and drink that was delicious. I’m pretty sure that we created much amusement for the other diners who were rather interested in the ‘foreigners’ selections. Hey, we’re tourists from the UK enjoying our adventures and are used to ridicule thanks to our lousy corrupt government, it was no big deal. Chinatown, great cuisine in very different surroundings. Best know for their fried chicken with spicy salt trays which is so good and crunchy! Also their combination fried rice, people also order their fried fish, bbq chicken, and honey walnut prawns for parties. They’re only takeout and they are always busy. Best to order ahead and allow yourself time to pick up before large parties. I just call to make an order and you pay when you pick up. I wish I could see their prices online or in person for the small and large trays. For a small chicken and small fried rice tray it cost over $100. So large trays are probably about $100. Tastes good and feeds a lot of people. Located in the island pacific plaza, plenty of parking and don’t leave anything valuable in your car.“
