Delicious Southern dinner. Wait wasn't too bad of a wait even for a table of 6. Hush puppies were a little too dry (needs some fresh corn kernels in my opinion). Fried chicken was delicious, as was the gumbo. The BBQ plate was a good portion size too.
Service was impeccable, thanks to Mel and all other interactions with staff. Food was deliciously decadent, plentiful and just delightful. Will definitely be back to discover many other culinary creations. Might even move past my 'trepidation' and try the alligator!

Very tasty crawfish étouffée, shrimp creole (both pleasantly but not excessively spicy), and voodoo shrimp (unlike what you might expect from the name, this is savory but not spicy, great for our low-spice companion). Nice service. Laid-back casual atmosphere with live music, but not too loud to talk easily.
