We stopped by on a whim and we are so glad we did! We were greeted by Skip, who told us all about the history of this great wine, and the story of the winemaker from Hungary. Skip served us a round of two Pinots and two Cabs as well as a straight Franc. Very unusual wines. We purchased some.
En Garde was by far my husband and my favorite winery that we visited. The tasting area was beautiful and while right next to the road had a great view of the mountains in front. We both agreed that the only thing better than the gentleman helping us was the wine. I would easily go drink their wine on a dirt floor if it meant I got the privilege to drink it again. Amazing service and wines! We had a great time tasting with Neil and learning about the history of En Garde and the wine making practices. Lovely tasting room in the Valley of the Moon. Can't wait to come back!
