“I moved to Sonoma 4 yrs ago and have no idea where to go to get anything as tasty as Chunky's. I haven't been back to have lunch in that time. So, I called last week to order a flautas plate with rice and beans. Yum, it's still the same delicious food...Omgoodness Yey. The owner is always so nice and polite. He greeted me with a Hi and a smile. The food was ready in 10 minutes, it was 11:30 am, so it was beginning to get busy. As for cleanliness, it was very clean as always from memory and pretty quiet even with people starting to roll in. They have seating inside but there are a few tables right outside with trees for shade, if you prefer. I will always continue to recommend Chunky's for flavorful food and great prices.“
“On a chilly, wet, and gray December morning, something told my soul: “you want pozole today.” Not wanting to settle for the Mi Pueblo chain, decided to give this place a try. Amazing decision. The pork pozole is so darn good. Giving them 5 stars based on this dish alone. Well, that and they were super friendly when merely picking up a to go order. All around good experience. Found my go to pozole in town“
“Truck is parked in front of the fairgrounds. When we went it was easy to park right in-front of the truck. No where to sit and eat. Most people took it to go or ate in their cars. Service is fast. You order and they call your number. We ordered a quesadilla and 5 tacos. My favorite was the Al Pastor. My daughter liked the carnitas. We would both pass on the chicken next time. $22 for 3 of us.“
“The food was good and the customer service was good. I forgot that the tacos al pastor had onions. And they were very nice in making them again and taking the onions out. The cooks were very nice. The parking is very difficult to find, but the food is very good .“
“Great Mexican food and reasonable prices. Friendly service, in a casual and festive ambience. I usually get the $13.75 Super Burrito with al pastor...covered in sauce, the grilled pork is so tender, flavorful, and juicy! And its huge! More recently I splurged for the $18 Surf and Turf burrito...loaded with grilled steak and shrimps, fantastic!“
“Love the burritos here. I've not ordered anything else, but the people are nice and they have a good green salsa. Bring cash because their CC reader wasn't working when I was there. I was at the evening location at E. Washington and Lakeville and I think maybe the wifi single there isn't great. Not sure about the fairgrounds parking lot. Enjoy ☺️“
“First time here, been wanting to stop here very time I past by while in Petaluma. Service was exceptional! Manuel was great! Food was tasty and big tall glasses of beer, Mexican cokes, TV's too and I would like to sit at the bar next visit and watch a game“
“I had the asada burrito which was excellent and filling. I didn’t try the bbq offerings. The salsas were fresh and a decent amount of spice level, but not too high. They have complimentary chips and salsas which is nice. However it would be great if they made their own chips with their homemade tortillas.I will definitely be back.“
“The bean dip, salsa & chips will get you in the door but the drinks and bartenders will keep you from leaving. Seriously, Ismael and Chuy are the best! I love the chorizo but my husband is a huge fan of the al pastor. The Alambre is the absolute best (share it - it's huge!)“
“With a plethora of good Mexican Restaurants around, I was a bit skeptical trying a new place. El Roy's brick and mortar restaurant is tops, but I tend to take out, as I do at What a Chicken. The Mi Pueblo restaurants are great for eating in, some with outdoor seating. So after walking by many times to get dessert at Fruita, we gave Don Pancho a try. Warmly greeted when we entered. Both TV's had sports on. Tortas were big and good. Chile rellenos were delicious. Still a bit crispy while covered in sauce. I wish they served Machacas on their breakfast menu. My favorite. Servers checked in often and always had our chips, salsas, and drinks filled. I nice cozy family owned Mexican place with plenty of parking and Fruita dessert next door.“
“My husband and I have been here a few times now.. My husband is a huge fan of roasted pork in a Mayan style sauce with homemade blue corn tortillas. I had the home made mole enchiladas. Yum! The food is authentic and the experience is quaint. It’s our new “go to” restaurant for consistent delicious meals served in a family atmosphere.“
