I'm so happy munching the burger sipping a lemonade marvelling at all the traffic and observing the bikers across the street drinking beer next to their mountain bikes that could pay three months of my rent. Blimey!“

Their bread is baked fresh daily, sandwiches are made with that personal touch and the cooler is stocked with a plethora of great choices. They have beer on tap, an outdoor patio area seated away from the bustle of the main road, solid Wi-Fi and plug-ins. My personal favorite is the Lostrami on Dutch Crunch.“

“If I had to compare their burgers to something, it’d be a certain shack with shakes. Pricing is on par, considering that Tasty’s patties are larger than said shack, and this is a local place that doesn’t have the benefit of scale.

The Royal burger is fire. Literally melts in your mouth. Cooked perfectly without a hint of dryness. I wouldn’t expect super duper to exercise as much quality control with twice the staffing. The beef tallow fries needed a hint more salt, but you can control that yourself. Otherwise, the fries were hella good.

When I went on a Sunday afternoon, this Labor Day weekend, it looked like they had three people running the show. But they were churning out orders, and mine was perfectly made. They just opened in August, so temper your expectations and wipe down your own table. God forbid they can’t clean every table after three tourist families of five roll through 🙄. Saw a lot of people asking for accommodations and it sounded like they did their best to fulfill.

Downtown Sausalito on a holiday weekend is basically a pressure cooker for any restaurant, and they handled it expertly given their resources. Let them cook!“

They definitely beat McDonald's, because everything's made on the spot and the prices are pretty throwback too - this, the original M&G's, takes credit cards. They've got a few modern takes of fast food on the menu too. If you're thinking of a burger in downtown Fairfax, this is the place. There's another branch of M& G's on magnolia avenue Larkspur that's cash only, and just as good.“

Trifecta.We plugged into a ecar charger in front of the restaurant for Rockstar parking. We arrived hungry & left happy. We ordered a Cheeseburger combo with sweet potato fries. The place just had a huge crowd walk in before me, of at least 20 people. Great menu with American classics for breakfast and lunch and a whole Guatemalan menu to complement. You cannot go wrong, be adventurous and try a Guatemalan dish, you won't be disappointed! Attentive but low key service, be patient and enjoy your stay. Huevos rancheros are delicious, Mexican or Guatemalan style.“

My husband and I split the seasonal salad (greens, feta, sweet potato, avocado, tangerine, radish, and pumpkin seeds with avocado lime dressing) The veggies were fresh and perky and I loved the combination of flavors. I got the chalet burger which featured a perfectly cooked, thick beef patty, toasted and floofy gluten-free bun, arugula, mushrooms, swiss cheese, tomato, and I added housemade pickles. “We’re longtime guests of the Novato IHOP, and we still come back to it after we moved out of the immediate area. Simply put, it’s the most consistent, quality dining experience in our experience in this area, from being seated and served, to the food itself. There are not-so-subtle differences between different IHOPs, and this one has always been extremely well managed and run - even during COVID and beyond, when the entire dining out landscape was thrown into turmoil.

Highlights (for us), foodwise:
Cheesesteak Stacker, any pancakes with fruit (IHOP is, still in our opinion, the reigning pancake kings), the burgers (which exist on the same level as other “gourmet” burgers), and the breakfast tacos.

I want to again call out management and service, because the team here moves with urgency - Lupita, Elvia, Ashley and the rest of the team are simply without peer in the waitstaff realm, and team collectively has easily 100+ years of hospitality experience. That’s next to impossible to find in a chain restaurant, and combined with how consistently the kitchen cranks out quality casual dining food, the experience here exceeds what we would have ever expected. Thus - the frequent returns!“

“The pizza was good — not amazing, but solid — and the ranch dressing was incredible. We popped in because The Village had a 45-minute wait and got seated right away, which was a win. Lots of TVs, so we could watch both the MLB playoffs and college football, and our server was genuinely great — friendly and helpful. That said, it definitely leans more toward an adult vibe. Even though there’s an arcade, the prices are a bit steep ($17 for a kid’s spaghetti and one meatball). And the playlist? Let’s just say it was giving “bow chicka bow wow late-night R&B” energy — not exactly the soundtrack I expected for family pizza night at 6:30 p.m on a Saturday. We’ll probably go back, but next time, maybe earlier in the day when hopefully it’s more family-friendly.“
