“This is the archetypical old hamburger place - the kind you see in films set in the '50s - with the requisite burgers, hot dogs, soft serve cones, and fries, all pretty good. They definitely beat McDonald's, because everything's made on the spot and the prices are pretty throwback too - this, the original M&G's, takes credit cards. They've got a few modern takes of fast food on the menu too. If you're thinking of a burger in downtown Fairfax, this is the place. There's another branch of M& G's on magnolia avenue Larkspur that's cash only, and just as good.“

“My experience here was excellent and rewarding. I came in on National Burger Day, and got the Belly Buster burger. The cook prepared my patty just how I asked for it, and my meal was well worth the price. Waitress sat me quick, was nice, and she was busy being the only one, I am very grateful to have found this place. I will definitely be coming back for seconds the next time I'm in North Beach.“

The burgers themselves, namely the piggy jack for me, are spectacular, especially for the low price they sell them at. My husband and I split the seasonal salad (greens, feta, sweet potato, avocado, tangerine, radish, and pumpkin seeds with avocado lime dressing) The veggies were fresh and perky and I loved the combination of flavors. Located in the Trader Joe’s parking lot @ Montecito PlazaWe had a super low battery on car, hungry & needed to go grocery shopping @ Trader Joe’s. Trifecta.We plugged into a ecar charger in front of the restaurant for Rockstar parking. We arrived hungry & left happy. We ordered a Cheeseburger combo with sweet potato fries. The place just had a huge crowd walk in before me, of at least 20 people. The cashier and orders with the kitchen were coordinated like a machine and no one waited for lunch.Thanks for Great Burger & service & Fries!

“A great burger. From my first year in the bay area there was something special about Nation's Giant Burgers, scattered around the East Bay. A juicy patty, cheese, with the fixings a nice clump of lettuce, onions and tomato, thick slab of cheese and pickles. Great thick fries, and pies.. seriously the best pie I ever had was at a Nation's. Their Strawberry Tart only offered when in season, is just large strawberries, a tasty almost shortbread crust and whipped cream. The one I had in 2001, days after 9/11, the strawberries were bursting with juice, almost like a jam, the skin barely holding, and. not too sweet, not too tart... In Plant City, Florida they have amazing strawberries.. previously the best I had ever tasted, but these, from a California Farm is what they said, are always going to be the best. �Other than their Strawberry Tart, I like their Banana Split, Banana Cream, Chocolate Cream, Pecan, Blueberry... well.. all of them. Never a bad choice. How I like my burger. Cheese, no dressing, grilled onions, light lettuce. Then I get hash browns and ham on the side (sometimes one egg also) and add them to the burger. Anyway. yes. 👍 more, again.“

Their bread is baked fresh daily, sandwiches are made with that personal touch and the cooler is stocked with a plethora of great choices. They have beer on tap, an outdoor patio area seated away from the bustle of the main road, solid Wi-Fi and plug-ins. My personal favorite is the Lostrami on Dutch Crunch.“

“I’ve been coming to Izzy’s for 35 years. This was the first time I’ve been back since the remodel 6 months ago. As usual the steaks and sides were fabulous. However, the four of us ordered several glasses of wine and the “pours” were pathetic! I don’t mind paying top dollar for a glass of wine but I don’t appreciate a 1/4 glass of wine that was barely two sips! Don’t try to pay off your remodel expenses by cheap skating your wine pours! “Ms. DIANA 😡. I’m so hurt and frustrated because I’ll never be able to get such great service like this again. She made me her “son’s chicken sandwich” and she put the mama touch on it 🤤. Damn…just damn. It’s not on the menu, it’s just exceptional love and passion for what she does. I will never go to another Focaccia location again. Ms. Diana is the #1 option hands down and no contest. Do yourself a favor and go see her. She’ll change your life with her smile alone. Next time I’m in there I’ll be showing up with adoption papers so she can adopt my 31 year old self because everyone needs a woman like this in their life“

“Casual neighborhood walk-up counter right across the street from Molinari's on Broadway. Staff is chill, food is hot and tasty, no question why they're voted Best Cheesesteak in CA. Outside seating lets you enjoy the food and the pulse of the neighborhood with a view of the back end of Chinatown. Hands down my favorite spot and just about a mile up Broadway from Pier 9 for the tourists.
Also have to say that the garlic fries are fantastic and heartburn-free for me“

“Def a pick up spot but that’s ok if that’s what you’re looking for. The food is great and the vibe is happy and fun. Wait staff is really great! Our waitress was so sweet and on top of everything. I know they are known for their espresso martinis and literally every single person sitting at the bar had one. We had wine instead which was also yummy. Portions are also pretty huge so keep that in mind when ordering. My BLT was def enough for 2 people. They also have outside seating which is fun on nice days.“

Biscuits and gravy: the biscuits are the dream child of a cornbread and a biscuit, buttery, flaky, melt in your mouth kind of pastry, not just a random biscuit
The gravy is creamy but light and rich at the same time (if that’s even possible?) with a light spice finish without burning your mouth
The scrambled eggs were above average and didn’t arrive dry, which is huge
Bagel with 2 sunny side up eggs & bacon:

bacon was good quality thick, crispy and no visible fat
