Their bread is baked fresh daily, sandwiches are made with that personal touch and the cooler is stocked with a plethora of great choices. They have beer on tap, an outdoor patio area seated away from the bustle of the main road, solid Wi-Fi and plug-ins. My personal favorite is the Lostrami on Dutch Crunch.“

“Situated on Ark Row, Servino Trattoria is run by Natale Servino, who I would venture to call a proper, old-school restaurateur. He clearly runs a tight ship, but the restaurant still has plenty of soul and personality, which I think is a difficult balance to get right. There’s structure, but it doesn’t feel sterile. The care is there.

Servino gives you a few different ways to experience the place. You can sit outside and keep things casual, grab a seat in the Enoteca bar, or eat in the main dining room, which is very nice and gives you a view into a seriously impressive kitchen.

The quality of the ingredients is obvious. They source local California and San Francisco-caught fish, high-quality meats and produce, and some of the best olive oil I’ve ever had. I’m still trying to figure out exactly what olive oil they use because I genuinely cannot seem to find anything quite like it.

Jennifer was our waitress and an absolute sweetheart. A Bay Area local who gave us great recommendations for both food and drinks and made the whole evening better. The service had that perfect blend of professionalism and freedom that, in my opinion, gives a restaurant soul. You’re taken care of, but nobody is hovering over you.

It’s been a little while since this particular dinner, but I still remember most of it. We started with the Santa Cruz-caught bluefin tuna carpaccio 🫰🏼 and the Crostini con Cucuzza with stracciatella and summer squash, which was absolutely delicious. The crostini in particular was out of this world for being relatively simple.

I had a vermouth cocktail that was excellent as well. When I go back, I’ll try something else.

The standout for me was the house-made squid-ink pasta with uni. They absolutely loaded it with uni, which Natale graciously explained how they’re able to do. There’s a running joke among my friends about being a “uni pasta hog” because most uni pasta gives you like four beautiful pieces of uni and suddenly sharing becomes a moral dilemma.

Not here.

Natale explained that they’re able to source some of the less visually perfect pieces rather than paying a premium exclusively for pristine whole uni tongues. Same ingredient, same flavor, much better economics, and they can actually load the pasta with it. I loved that. It made it possible to share without feeling like you’re either skimping or hogging all the best bites.

We finished with a seasonal fruit crostata, which was also delicious.

Servino felt like a restaurant run by people who genuinely care about the ingredients, the kitchen and the experience. It’s polished without losing its personality. Natale runs a tight ship, Jennifer made us feel at home, the kitchen clearly knows what it’s doing, and the ingredients speak for themselves.

There’s soul in the place. That’s what I appreciate most. I attached the few photos I took. The food was too good to spend my time taking photos.“

We decided to share a piece of frittata and it was so good we got another piece to share and my husband got blueberry banana bread to go. The frittata was fresh and delicious with at least six different vegetables in it. The banana bread was very moist and eggy, yummy and satisfying. Highly recommend this place!“

“I love Saigon Village and have been coming with my vegan family for years. They have so many options with fake meats, and vegetable broth for pho. The owners are very sweet and can make modifications for almost everything on the menu. I would especially recommend the tofu bahn mi with no mayo, the vegetarian beef pho, and the coconut juice straight from a coconut! So good. Updated from previous review on 2026-08-20“

“This place made the tastiest veggie curry dish - I asked for the Channa Masala extra spicy and they did such a great job! Their garlic naan is very good too. I am not an expert or Indian food aficionado. However, I love the taste of their food and the girl I spoke with over the phone was very sweet!“

Some of the best Indian/Goan food I’ve had in the states, if you’re searching for a transcendent state-get the Caldine curry. If the food wasn’t enough, the service and vibes are also spectacular. “Barton’s is my go-to morning stop on the way to work. I’m there a lot, and it never disappoints. My regular order is the lox sandwich — about ten bucks and you get a fantastic toasted bagel loaded with all the good stuff. The bagels are consistently excellent, the cream cheese options are all great, and their espresso is top-notch. On top of that, the staff is always friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend if you want a quality bagel and coffee to start your day.“

“This guy is an Italian genius when it comes to food! The combinations of flavors he comes up with would rival any great Italian chef. I met him while selling at a local farmers market a while ago-during or right after the pandemic. Restaurants were closed and he needed a way to support himself and to carry on his love of cooking and, thankfully, he came up with this business plan. “This is a charming cafe with a sweet outdoor patio! What a hidden gem! The baked goods are amazing and homemade by Armida! They do homemade sandwiches to order, have savory and sweet baked goods! Try the bacon/egg/maple syrup bun or the veggie pocket! There is ample indoor space to sit and sip. There are also books and puzzles for bringing your child, and with the outdoor space, an ideal child friendly cafe for a bite to eat.

“Place is as authentic as it gets. It is next door to a little Guatemalan grocery. The tacos and taco bar have some of the best flavor in clevelamd! The red sauce is very hot. Be careful. Took a bit of time to get our order but overall it is a repeat place for good tacos made authentically.“

“On a holiday retreat, and after so many big and expensive meals over the Christmas and Chanukkah holidays, we were thrilled to discover Ming's tucked away off the Main Street in Tiburon. Though GPS took us there, it was still somewhat hard to find. But we percevered Tiny and no frills, but bright and colorful. A birthday party was going on in the corner. A husband and wife and their little girl enjoying a feast across from us. Lots of people coming and going for takeout. But our server, took our order and delicious hot plates of food begam to appear. Potstickers, Wonton Soup, and Kung Pao Chicken plus a bowl of rice. It was all wonderful and enough to take home for dinner the next day. Likely, the best meal of our three-night stay. It's the simple things that matter most.“

“My wife and I and our kid were on a road trip to Santa Rosa going for the first time and we needed a quick place to stop for lunch. We found this pizza place and it worked out Perfectly! It was a nice sit-down fast enough experience and the pizza was surprisingly tasty yummy full of flavor and cooked crispy fresh and the pasta was yummy rich flavor as well! They had good garlic bread well. Plus a nice kid's menu with crayons and a coloring page for our child. The prices were reasonable and the service was prompt and professional. We had never eaten at a Red Boy franchise before and I would like to try it again. I am really Thankful it was convenient and good for my Family!

“I don’t want to ruin this classic San Anselmo business’ income, but in lieu of a website or email address, I’m compelled to leave this public review in hopes that ownership sees it. You guys are over roasting your African beans to a criminal degree. Yirgacheffe and Tz pea berry are such delicate, complex beans, with so many floral / fruity / light flavors, that roasting them within an inch of their lives completely misses their point. Far be it from me to tell someone else how to run their business, but as someone with a deep knowledge of and passion for single origin light roast coffees, you guys shouldn’t do this to your (very expensive) Ethiopian and Tanzanian beans. Dark roast the other stuff. I’m sure most people want that. But please light roast those beans. I’m throwing away the one pound bag of yirgacheffe I bought yesterday, heartbroken at how burnt and undrinkable it is. For reference: V60 / medium ground / tetsu kasuya pour method. Side note: incredibly kind staff, and old school San Anselmo charm. Just burnt beans.“
