About La Travesia

La Travesia is a small, cozy restaurant that offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive, making guests feel at home from the moment they arrive. The menu features authentic, flavorful dishes such as birria tacos, huevos rancheros, seafood tacos, fish plates, and pozole rojo with rice and black beans, all prepared with care and served with fresh tortillas and toppings like avocado. The food is often described as delicious, homely, and comparable to Latin American cuisine, with some reviews highlighting the slow-cooked birria stew that takes nine hours. Many visitors praise the quality and taste of the meals, noting that they leave full and happy. The prices are considered very reasonable, especially given the location in Nob Hill SF, making it a great spot for both locals and travelers. This was stupidly delicious. I cannot describe the flavor of the birria. Zero notes. 10/10.

An incredible dining experience from start to finish. The chips and salsa feature a unique, intriguing flavor that is absolutely delicious, and the carne asada fajitas were flawless. The staff clearly pours a lot of love, skill, and passion into their food.

Wonderful little hidden treasure. It's a little out of my normal range from my apartment for breakfast, but well worth it. It's been years since I've had coffee and breakfast for $20 anywhere in this area. The food was delicious and the service friendly and the place is really cute. Definitely going to be my new favorite breakfast spot. I'm going to head back up here for lunch and dinner as well. I'm sure the food will be just as good.
