“The best Palestinian/Jordanian/Lebanese food ever! So happy it’s open again in San Bruno 😍”
“This place is great!! Love the Lamb Chops or New York Steak, Bartender Christine top notch, Area Mgr. Samantha always treats me like gold. Mgr. Alexa Luv her so dedicated, Mgr Edgar always on top of things, Can't forget Bartender Alberto! Or Mgr. Gia”
“This is such a hidden gem and I truly think it should at least get a Michelin Recommend rating. This restaurant offers the best value in the Bay Area with a fine-dining tasting menu at under $100. Each dish, from amuse-bouche to dessert, was perfectly executed. The duck confit was tender and so crispy (I am drooling just thinking about it). The chocolate souffle with coffee ice-cream is so well balanced. Will definitely be back!”
“Atlas is a unique place. I’ve stopped by with friends for an event but not really had the full Atlas experience until tonight. I had one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! The Italian garlic combo! Friendly staff, wine and beer, tonight there was live music on the patio area. Max the owner is a wonderful host who is very active in the San Bruno community. Atlas is bringing good times back to down town San Bruno. Make it one of your first post pandemic stops!”
“JC Bruno is more than a restaurant, it’s a relationship. It’s now my #1 spot, and I’d recommend it in a heartbeat to anyone looking for great food, genuine people, and unforgettable service! If you’re looking for a go-to restaurant that feels like your favorite local spot and your second home, JC Bruno is it. I truly mean when I say that Marcela, the owner, is the soul of this place, and she has completely redefined what true hospitality means in today’s world. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted not just by a friendly staff, but by people who genuinely care. Marcela herself is always around, and what makes her so special is that she doesn’t act like a distant owner, but rather you feel like you’re planning something with a longtime friend. She’ll chat with you, laugh with you, and most importantly, she stands by you to help plan your perfect experience, whether you’re organizing a small dinner or a full-blown celebration. What blew me away most was how flexible she is. JC Bruno’s menu is already this amazing fusion of European, Mediterranean, and other international flavors, but if there’s something special you want that’s not listed? Just ask. Marcela will go out of her way to make it happen. That kind of flexibility is almost unheard of these days. I’ve worked with many restaurants for events and special dinners, but working with Marcela is different because she treats you like a partner, not a transaction. She’ll talk through your vision, offer smart suggestions, and help you figure out the best possible setup for your group. The way she collaborates with you makes it fun and stress-free. It’s rare to find a place where the owner is this involved and down-to-earth.”

“They have the Best Burgers in the Bay Area❤️ The staff is very Friendly and Nice❤️❤️❤️”
“The best sushi place in SF…I am a sushi lover. The fish there are so fresh and the Uni are premium. From the sashimi to the Kobe beef, everything is top. Their pricing is also very reasonable. Eric and Phoebe are very nice and provide excellent service.”
“Fantastic Korean food. The owners were super friendly. The staff was amazing and the food was superb. Some places are either too salty or no flavor but K-Grill & Tofu House was on the spot. All our food was perfect. The eel was soft and so flavorful.
The cold Beef Bibimbap was also very delicious. Add the red spicy and sweet sauce and you got yourself a sweet spicy cold bowl of awesomeness.”

“We've been coming here for years. The food is of good quality, portions, presentation and flavor.
They have a large back room for banquets.
The staff has always been great! Marta took excellent care of us. After being away for so long, it's nice to come back and know, we will always have a good meal.”
“Love this place!! Randomly chose this place (good gôogle reviews and in the neighborhood) to meet a friend for a hot drink. Was a little noshy, Got tempted by the menu and ordered the breakfast burrito, friend ordered avocado toast. Food was super delicious and garnished nicely. Made friends w the enthusiastic and gregarious staff. Enjoyed everything about this place! all the small touches, the awesome art on the wall and the welcoming comfy atmosphere made it a great first impression. Thanks Chris and "Papa" for some scrumptious food, perfection in a Mexican cocoa, and for making us feel like we came to exactly the right place. 😃😉☺️... I'm definitely gonna try the empanadas next time.!!!!”

“I was pleasantly surprised to find a sugarcane juice spot outside of San Jose, and let me tell you, it really hit the spot. They offer a variety of flavors you can add, and the owner was kind enough to let me sample a few, all of which were delicious. In the end, I stuck with the original, but I’d definitely swing by again if I’m ever in the area.”

“I met the owner of this place while doing rideshare. At the end of the trip he said, “Since you got me home safely, come by my sandwich shop and I’ll have my people hook you up.”
His staff was just as friendly as he was, and the sandwich tasted even better than I expected.
My recommendation: turkey and salami with lettuce, tomato, and pickles on a toasted French roll with garlic sauce only.
The taste isn’t something to die for, it’s something to live and stay alive for.
Thanks again, Mr. Roma. 🙋🏾♂️⭐✨”
“My son and I YELPED for Mexican food.Good Mexican Food, and decided to give this place a try. I had the Spicy Shrimp Plate, and my son had the Steak and Spicy Prawns. They also provide Tortilla Chips and a Salsa Bar. The guy who cooked our food, knows how to cook! My shrimp was absolutely a balance of green/red peppers, onions, in a slightly sweet, savory and mildly spicy sauce. The Rice was done just right(not dried out). The Black Beans, were tender, with just the right amount of salt. The Iceberg lettuce and sliced radish was cold, fresh and crispy— Served with a dollop of sour cream, avocado sauce; a slice of tomato and sprinkle of Mexican cheese top the salad - it did a nice job to balance the heat of the main course. Everything was well executed. The overall indoor atmosphere is very clean, simple and no frills. Love their neon menu signage. And, their prices are reasonable. Thank you for the delicious meal. We will be back.”
“Staff was attentive and helpful and the items we ordered were all delicious”
“OMG! This might be the best pizza I have ever had. The crust was perfectly crispy yet chewy. The sauce was an exquisite combination of savory and tangy sweet. The toppings were fresh and flavorful. And the staff were extremely friendly and delightful. Cannot wait to come back!”
“First time coming to this place. From the outside it looks like a creepy scene from Stranger Things. Inside felt like we jumped out of Doc Brown's DeLorean and right into 1989. The place had an old wood smell and it was really cold. There was 2 small groups there, a young group of 3 and an older group of 3. The waitress was an older Asian lady and she was extremely kind and sweet. The food wasnt bad considering everything else. The food was also priced well. We wanted to get pie but wasnt sure how long its been sitting there. Would definitely be a place to go if I ever wanna do a Mob style meet up lol. But seriously, over it was cool.”

“Top notch home style Thai food, not sure I need to say more.
It's different enough from what you'd get at a restaurant, and very delicious! We're longtime fans of their pad see ew, pad Thai and (in particular) their khao soi, which they unfortunately run out of sometimes so come early! The staff are very friendly and happy to accommodate pure veg food requests as well.”
“If definitely satisfied the craving for indian food. My boyfriend and i have nut allergies and the staff was very attentive and made sure there would be no cross contamination. The chicken vindaloo was great paired with the garlic naan and the complimentary rice they serve you. The chana masala was decent but not my favorite that i’ve tried. Overall the service was great and the food was good and comes close to my favorite indian spot in north beach. Will definitely be back!”
“Stopped in to Newell's for a pre dinner drink. We just kind of stumbled on this place. How does one know where to get a good cocktail when you're an out of towner!?
Well let me tell you about Newell's.. The bartender was fabulous! She wasn't even sure what a certain drink was but she more than nailed it! It was right on! My Cadillac margarita was potent! I managed to wobble out of there to my next destination.. but barely! They do not serve food but our sweet bartender brought popcorn in order to save me embarrassment! It was a fun experience and I think I may have to return!”
“This place is the bomb!!!! Food is through the roof unbelievable hospitality … Nicest lady ive ever met at restaurant… beat ribs ive ever eaten …had unbelievable bark on the outside…tender on the inside… great sauce…great egg style patatoe salad corn bread and some of the best ice tea I ever had… unbelievable … if you ain’t been their your missing out…I can’t wait to go back seriously that good!!!San Bruno best kept secrete !!!!”
“I have been to many IHOPs, especially to the ones in SF, SSF, DC, by far this is the best IHOP you can go to in terms of food, service and everything. Most IHOPs I been to aren’t as good as this one.
Jessica has been holding it down for so long as she always welcomes you with warmth and a nice smile! The service is amazing, the food I always cooked right and they never get the orders wrong nor do they take too long to take your order or make the food, they simply value your satisfaction.
Personally I like supporting smaller local business especially because I own one down the street, but this IHOP deserves that same kind of love.”
“Food is amazing. Ordered japchae, short rib soup, cheese corn, and bulgogi, all of them are very good. Japchae had good seasoning to it and balanced amount of veggies and noodles. Cheese corn is very cheesy, sweet, and have amazing cheese pull. Bulgogi is perfect balance between sweet and savory as well. My husband created bulgogi cheese corn combination that he definitely will go back for. Honestly for me, the star of the show is the short rib broth. Its one of the best broth I have ever tasted with massive amount of meat in it (they definitely did not cheap out on quality and quantity!)
The restaurant itself is nice and spacious. Just had to make sure to wear something you dont mind smelling like bbq because the moment you entered, the amazing smell greets your senses. The service though, was a bit weird. Apparently we were supposed to refill for our own water to the back? And we had to wait a bit before someone actually checked on us. It's not a deal breaker though, we would still go back and enjoy the deliciousness of their korean dishes!”
“We ordered a variety of things: sushi, yakimono, karaage and more. It was all excellent. The quality is great and the food came out quickly. This was our first time here and we will definitely return.”

“The focus is about consistently delicious food. I married into a Filipino family and have learned, as a foodie, that dishes take time, they need to simmer and they are layered with flavors and herbs. KUYA'S IS A STAPLE for our family. Take out or dine in its always delicious. Dine in and the lights may flicker... it take us out of the states and portal us towards a family that cares about food. Yum.”
“Good taco salads here in their San Bruno location. It was $11.29 + $2.49 for the added steak. That crispy flicky taco shell revivals the best of them. Free chips! If you want to mix it up, their mango salsa is a very unique La Salsa thing. They tend to get rid of the mango salsa during the holiday season though. Plenty of seats and service was excellent for a counter ordering restaurant. The cashier is also the chef.
About La Salsa, I used to visit their SF Battery St. location near my office in the 2000's before they closed. Also previously in the 2000's, I used to visit their Mountain View location every other Saturday before going to Fry's Electronics. Their food is healthy if you order the right things.”
“One of the best places to get food late night in Millbrae. We've come here a couple times the night before our flight out of SFO and every time it's delicious and the bartender has always been super friendly and poured a great glass of wine.”
“I honestly don’t understand why the rating is so low—it’s absolutely delicious and tastes just like back home in China. I ordered lamb skewers, grilled squid, cold noodles, and grilled cold noodles. Ever since I tried it once, I’ve been craving it every day.”

“Phil Taylor is a wonderful Host. He cordially welcomes songwriters from all over the globe to perform songs in the round style. It’s a great way to share one’s music and meet other like minded folks. I had a wonderful time 1/7/23. Looking forward to a future opportunity to perform my music. I definitely recommend this group.”
“I’ve spent years eating my way through taquerias across the Bay Area from San Jose, to the Mission, and everything in between, and La Paloma still holds its own with the best of them and will always have a special place in my heart. The staff are genuinely warm and welcoming every time, but the food is what keeps me loyal. The carne asada is consistently excellent; well seasoned, smoky, and cooked perfectly every visit. Their coctel de camarón is fresh, nicely chilled, with that bright tang and subtle spice that hits the spot. It’s the kind of authentic, no-frills taqueria you can always count on. Highly recommend.”

“Amongst many local eateries this was a gem. Great service with a smile. The decor is simple and familiar and includes a large screen video of Vietnamese food preparation.
Coming ourselves from a city full of Vietnamese restaurants the flavours here were spot on. The portions were larger than we expected.”
“Ricopan impresses with more than its delectable pastries; it stands out for its remarkable community engagement. Each visit feels like a warm embrace, highlighting Rico’s role not just as a bakery but as a community pillar. Their commitment to giving back is evident, making every bite of their exquisite desserts feel even sweeter. Ricopan is truly a beacon of both culinary mastery and community spirit.”

“I have drove and walked pass here a few times. I was working nearby on a evening schedule, me and my coworker were browsing through DoorDash since we were in need of a quick bite and we decided to give this place a try. They offer many authentic Japanese dishes from traditional sushi rolls, specialty rolls, appetizers, ramen, sashimi, vegetarian items, bento box, party trays and much more to choose from. We were both excited when the order was placed, at that point we got even more hungrier and could not way to try the food we ordered. Finally the food arrived and it was time to dig in. The food was fantastic, delicious and has great quality where I believe they carefully select their ingredients. Everything here is made to order which is always a plus for me since it is quality over quantity and I never mind the wait since I am a very patient person. One day I will make a visit to dine in here. I highly recommend this place to all sushi/Japanese food lovers, if you need a quick bite just like me or if you just so happen to be in the area to check them out. I definitely will be back to tryout the other delicious options they have to offer.”
“I wish we had a Wendy's in the city, cuz it is certainly my favorite fast-food burger spot 👍. Can't beat the affordability for the amount of food you can get here, as they offer $4,$6, and $8 value combos. If you are by the Airport, or just in the mood for a good ol' fashioned burger for a good ol' fashioned price, stop by sometime. Drive-Thru is usually pretty busy, I'd recommend going inside to order and dine-in. Doesn't have sketchy atmosphere, as so many fast food spots in SF are notorious for.. Cordial staff and clean tables.”
“I came in on (9/1) right before 7 pm with 3 of my friends. It seemed a little busy for a monday…well, it’s labor day. Our server, Betty (i think) made sure to keep bringing us fresh biscuits while we waited on our food. Betty was exceptionally sweet. I think we were her last table but she went out of her way to be nice to us. One of my friends had a togo order and she waited to make sure the burger got to us before she left her shift. she was so genuinely gracious, pleasant and accommodating We all hope she is working the next time we are in. she’s a great server.❤️ we’re already planning our next trip”
“If you like traditional Hong Kong hole in the wall restaurant, this is the place for you. I found this restaurant when I was driving by and noticed they change owners. So I decide to give a try and to my surprise The dishes are that I order are very authentic Cantonese dishes that you normally find in the whole in the wall type of restaurant.
As of 01/27/2026 They now have a special going on. When you purchase in the restaurant, for every $50+ you spend you get a coupon. If you spend over $100 in the restaurant, you get 1/2 海南雞.”

“I was impressed with my passionfruit tea with a bit of real pulp and seeds. It was $5.50 for the standard large size (24 oz) with a topping, an amazing deal in 2026. They definitely back off the ice if requested, sweetness is slightly high (their 50% is closer to my palate's 70%), and I appreciate the option to choose between green or black teas. The strawberry jellies are tasty, but were harder to suck up the straw. Service was fast and the interior has some tables with C-pop in the background; I'd be glad to hang out with my friends here.”
“Located near Luckys and Lowes, this is a neighborhood hole in the wall. It’s not an Ichi Ramen (shown in the front of the restaurant) as they just never spent the money to replace the sign. Being said this place gets packed fast especially on weekends. It’s a great spot for rice porridge and other Cantonese comfort food. Guess don’t judge the book by its cover 😉Tried the pork rice congee (hope I spelled that right) and the beef stew clay pot with both the regular and sweet Chinese doughnut. Enjoyed the tender pork and thick porridge. Beef stew was also very tender and savory 😋 I say check it out.”
“A great soot with beautifully curated atmosphere. The menu prices and offerings are what I would expect for a Bay area viet restaurant (banh mi around $10, pho around $17). Service is very friendly and attentive! I haven’t had their pho yet but their banh mi is good. I will have to come back and try more of the menu!”
“The coffee here is rich and flavorful, perfect for anyone who enjoys a darker roast. The baristas are friendly and helpful, taking the time to make drinks just the way you like them. The cafe has a relaxed vibe, making it a good spot for a quick coffee or a casual catch-up with friends. Pastries and light snacks are fresh, though some items can run out quickly during busy hours. Overall, it’s a reliable place for quality coffee and attentive service.”
“Came there with my husband, sister and brother-in-law for the first time yesterday Nov. 14. Place was amazing, food was sooooooo good (no problems), service was amazing. Everyone who worked there was soooooo kind. I felt the only issue was they didn’t give you a bunch of chips in the basket and you had to charge $1 after if you wanted more. Also, they were out of sliced radish so I wasn’t able to fully enjoy my food without it (food was still amazing) but I would definitely be a returning customer. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“Love the XO rice rolls and congee! Have tried several other things that have also been great! They are busy but great at turning the tables around quick.
I do wish the place was cleaner. Everything feels sticky and run down. The floors, walls and condiment bottles could use a refresh.”
“Love their service and their sashimi and sushi. Very good and !”
“Great Sunset neighborhood Indian/Pakistani restaurant. Friendly service. Accommodates my spice shy palate. Recently introduced thali lunch boxes perfect for single diners. Reasonable prices.”

“December 2025 British juice and sandwich 🥪 resto with a chain of outlets.
Pretty consistent and popular menu of juices, shakes and sandwiches with healthy and personal add ons.
Service is standard counter service
Pretty much consistent modern look with minimal in store dining spaces”

“I came in here after getting poke in the same plaza. I wanted something to drink and a smoothie sounded right up my alley. I met the owner and he was incredibly nice and even gave me a cheesecake to try. I ended up getting the strawberry mango smoothie they used real strawberry and it was delicious.”
“EXCELLENT food!! Absolutely delicious!! You will NOT be disappointed.
Please note: staff does NOT speak English. Use your Google translator and BE KIND.
Also. They take orders over the phone. If you are waiting an insane amount of time and people just walk up and get their order, it is because you ordered AFTER they called in their order. Wait your turn. Scroll on your phone and the time will FLY by.
Yes. Check your food before walking away to make sure they got everything correct. They forgot to put hubby's coke in the take out bag, but a quick reminder took care of the situation. Don't take it personally. They have A LOT of customers.
Your snarky review isn't going to stop those of us who know a great food truck when they see it.

Hubs: chapata”
