“Such a hidden gem. Every item on the tasting menu was incredible - super complex and balanced, and the service was great. Would want to keep this place a secret but that would be selfish!”
“Great tasting authentic Middle Eastern cuisine. Owners from Gaza Strip originally.”
“Atlas is a unique place. I’ve stopped by with friends for an event but not really had the full Atlas experience until tonight. I had one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! The Italian garlic combo! Friendly staff, wine and beer, tonight there was live music on the patio area. Max the owner is a wonderful host who is very active in the San Bruno community. Atlas is bringing good times back to down town San Bruno. Make it one of your first post pandemic stops!”
“This place is great!! Love the Lamb Chops or New York Steak, Bartender Christine top notch, Area Mgr. Samantha always treats me like gold. Mgr. Alexa Luv her so dedicated, Mgr Edgar always on top of things, Can't forget Bartender Alberto! Or Mgr. Gia”
“JC Bruno is more than a restaurant, it’s a relationship. It’s now my #1 spot, and I’d recommend it in a heartbeat to anyone looking for great food, genuine people, and unforgettable service! If you’re looking for a go-to restaurant that feels like your favorite local spot and your second home, JC Bruno is it. I truly mean when I say that Marcela, the owner, is the soul of this place, and she has completely redefined what true hospitality means in today’s world. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted not just by a friendly staff, but by people who genuinely care. Marcela herself is always around, and what makes her so special is that she doesn’t act like a distant owner, but rather you feel like you’re planning something with a longtime friend. She’ll chat with you, laugh with you, and most importantly, she stands by you to help plan your perfect experience, whether you’re organizing a small dinner or a full-blown celebration. What blew me away most was how flexible she is. JC Bruno’s menu is already this amazing fusion of European, Mediterranean, and other international flavors, but if there’s something special you want that’s not listed? Just ask. Marcela will go out of her way to make it happen. That kind of flexibility is almost unheard of these days. I’ve worked with many restaurants for events and special dinners, but working with Marcela is different because she treats you like a partner, not a transaction. She’ll talk through your vision, offer smart suggestions, and help you figure out the best possible setup for your group. The way she collaborates with you makes it fun and stress-free. It’s rare to find a place where the owner is this involved and down-to-earth.”

“The online order page is well designed allowing for easy half and half customization with their specialty pizzas. Their price for the King Kong sized pizza is reasonable in comparison to other pizza places but prices in general seem higher than they should be but that's a whole other discussion. The toppings were fresh and covered the surface of the pizza honorably. Given how big the pizza is, they have the slice partitioning for it down to a science... or math. Add on top of that a very friendly staff and I can easily say that this pizza place is worth going to and supporting because we all need a good pizza place we can rely on.”

“Love this place!! Randomly chose this place (good gôogle reviews and in the neighborhood) to meet a friend for a hot drink. Was a little noshy, Got tempted by the menu and ordered the breakfast burrito, friend ordered avocado toast. Food was super delicious and garnished nicely. Made friends w the enthusiastic and gregarious staff. Enjoyed everything about this place! all the small touches, the awesome art on the wall and the welcoming comfy atmosphere made it a great first impression. Thanks Chris and "Papa" for some scrumptious food, perfection in a Mexican cocoa, and for making us feel like we came to exactly the right place. 😃😉☺️... I'm definitely gonna try the empanadas next time.!!!!”
“A hidden gem only 20 mins from San Francisco, a sugarcane juice cafe that exceeded all my expectations! High-quality ingredients, refreshing taste, charming interiors, and a warm-hearted owner, this place truly deserves recognition.
The interiors are thoughtfully designed, striking a perfect balance between modern aesthetics and cozy comfort. The cozy seating arrangements (kids table!), tasteful decor, and greenery create an inviting atmosphere!
We had original cane juice, watermelon and calamari - Every sip was a burst of natural sweetness, perfectly balanced with a hint of tanginess. The menu offers a wide variety of options to satisfy different tastes. They also offer customizable options, allowing you to tailor your drink to your liking.
Last, but not the least - the owner is genuine, sweet and extremely committed and hard working. He's a one man army so don't be surprised if you don't see anyone when you enter. They have a self serve kiosk up at the entrance so you won't be inconvenienced at all.
To sum it up, really exceptional juice and experience that took me back to India - we'll definitely be coming here regularly :)”

“My son and I YELPED for Mexican food.Good Mexican Food, and decided to give this place a try. I had the Spicy Shrimp Plate, and my son had the Steak and Spicy Prawns. They also provide Tortilla Chips and a Salsa Bar. The guy who cooked our food, knows how to cook! My shrimp was absolutely a balance of green/red peppers, onions, in a slightly sweet, savory and mildly spicy sauce. The Rice was done just right(not dried out). The Black Beans, were tender, with just the right amount of salt. The Iceberg lettuce and sliced radish was cold, fresh and crispy— Served with a dollop of sour cream, avocado sauce; a slice of tomato and sprinkle of Mexican cheese top the salad - it did a nice job to balance the heat of the main course. Everything was well executed. The overall indoor atmosphere is very clean, simple and no frills. Love their neon menu signage. And, their prices are reasonable. Thank you for the delicious meal. We will be back.”
“Phil Taylor is a wonderful Host. He cordially welcomes songwriters from all over the globe to perform songs in the round style. It’s a great way to share one’s music and meet other like minded folks. I had a wonderful time 1/7/23. Looking forward to a future opportunity to perform my music. I definitely recommend this group.”
“The best sushi place in SF…I am a sushi lover. The fish there are so fresh and the Uni are premium. From the sashimi to the Kobe beef, everything is top. Their pricing is also very reasonable. Eric and Phoebe are very nice and provide excellent service.”
“They have the Best Burgers in the Bay Area❤️ The staff is very Friendly and Nice❤️❤️❤️”

“Finger licking food. As an Indian, I vouch for its authenticity. Dined with my parents who loved it as well. You can adjust spice level. We did level 4, which was perfect for us. Great flavors. They accommodated no garlic request where possible as well.
We ordered Veg thali with kadhai paneer, chicken tikka masala, punjabi naan, amritasri kulcha plate and rose falooda drink.
Will come back again!
Edit: Went back again. Same amazing flavors!! Truly reminds me of Delhi food.”
“Top notch home style Thai food, not sure I need to say more.
It's different enough from what you'd get at a restaurant, and very delicious! We're longtime fans of their pad see ew, pad Thai and (in particular) their khao soi, which they unfortunately run out of sometimes so come early! The staff are very friendly and happy to accommodate pure veg food requests as well.”
“First time coming to this place. From the outside it looks like a creepy scene from Stranger Things. Inside felt like we jumped out of Doc Brown's DeLorean and right into 1989. The place had an old wood smell and it was really cold. There was 2 small groups there, a young group of 3 and an older group of 3. The waitress was an older Asian lady and she was extremely kind and sweet. The food wasnt bad considering everything else. The food was also priced well. We wanted to get pie but wasnt sure how long its been sitting there. Would definitely be a place to go if I ever wanna do a Mob style meet up lol. But seriously, over it was cool.”
“Stopped in to Newell's for a pre dinner drink. We just kind of stumbled on this place. How does one know where to get a good cocktail when you're an out of towner!?
Well let me tell you about Newell's.. The bartender was fabulous! She wasn't even sure what a certain drink was but she more than nailed it! It was right on! My Cadillac margarita was potent! I managed to wobble out of there to my next destination.. but barely! They do not serve food but our sweet bartender brought popcorn in order to save me embarrassment! It was a fun experience and I think I may have to return!”
“This is my third location and time going to a IHOP. The first two times, were in San Jose and Santa Cruz, the location was so dirty and the staff was not friendly and was not service oriented.
This location was very nice, cleaner and the service was fast and cheerful.
This was a good restaurant to stumble on to with my daughter.”
“This place is the bomb!!!! Food is through the roof unbelievable hospitality … Nicest lady ive ever met at restaurant… beat ribs ive ever eaten …had unbelievable bark on the outside…tender on the inside… great sauce…great egg style patatoe salad corn bread and some of the best ice tea I ever had… unbelievable … if you ain’t been their your missing out…I can’t wait to go back seriously that good!!!San Bruno best kept secrete !!!!”
“I honestly don’t understand why the rating is so low—it’s absolutely delicious and tastes just like back home in China. I ordered lamb skewers, grilled squid, cold noodles, and grilled cold noodles. Ever since I tried it once, I’ve been craving it every day.”
“Food is amazing. Ordered japchae, short rib soup, cheese corn, and bulgogi, all of them are very good. Japchae had good seasoning to it and balanced amount of veggies and noodles. Cheese corn is very cheesy, sweet, and have amazing cheese pull. Bulgogi is perfect balance between sweet and savory as well. My husband created bulgogi cheese corn combination that he definitely will go back for. Honestly for me, the star of the show is the short rib broth. Its one of the best broth I have ever tasted with massive amount of meat in it (they definitely did not cheap out on quality and quantity!)
The restaurant itself is nice and spacious. Just had to make sure to wear something you dont mind smelling like bbq because the moment you entered, the amazing smell greets your senses. The service though, was a bit weird. Apparently we were supposed to refill for our own water to the back? And we had to wait a bit before someone actually checked on us. It's not a deal breaker though, we would still go back and enjoy the deliciousness of their korean dishes!”

“We got the mango salmon roll, rainbow roll, oysters, and a few nigiri. The mango salmon roll was fine. The rainbow roll used imitation crab. For the price, they should have used real crab meat. The usual sushi place we go to uses real crab meat and is cheaper. The oysters tasted pretty neutral although I wasn’t too fond of the citrus jam they paired it with. The nigiri were all fresh but the price is only for one piece and they are small pieces. I think we will give other places a try before coming back here.”
“Dumpling era had authentic dumplings, noodles, and other Chinese dishes.
The sheng jian bao was yummy, but a little too thick IMO. I prefer the one in dumpling home.
The egg and chives pancake was crispy and had a sweet sauce.
The tofu sheet noodles were my favorite. The sauce had numbing spice.
The shredding pork in garlic sauce had woodear and bamboo shoots. The bamboo gave it a good funky flavor that I enjoyed.
We also got the shrimp and chives water boiled dumplings.
The service was friendly and they didn't rush us inspite of the fact that we were seated for a long time.
We also got the stir fried pea shoots. I loved these.
The spicy sauce at the table was very hot and reminded me of a momo chutney.”
“My friend brought me to this restaurant. I was amazed at the amount of food you get in their lunch specials. A good portioned ball of rice that is a good portion. It is serviced with salad and terriyaki beef, chicken, or salmon. Along with that in a bento box you get 6 sushi rolls. I had the CA roll, fresh salmon, and smallish gyoza. All that for $17.95. What a deal!!
The service is excellent. Daniel is a very nice man who works the register and takes orders. He was so kind and understanding because we couldn't go inside because of my friend's condition she cannot walk. He offered to bring the food out to us. Who does that anymore.
The atmosphere felt comforting. The customers all looked pleased and happy.
I WILL make this restaurant one of my go to's now. Come see for yourself. You won't be disappointed. They ROCK!!”
“Good taco salads here in their San Bruno location. It was $11.29 + $2.49 for the added steak. That crispy flicky taco shell revivals the best of them. Free chips! If you want to mix it up, their mango salsa is a very unique La Salsa thing. They tend to get rid of the mango salsa during the holiday season though. Plenty of seats and service was excellent for a counter ordering restaurant. The cashier is also the chef.
About La Salsa, I used to visit their SF Battery St. location near my office in the 2000's before they closed. Also previously in the 2000's, I used to visit their Mountain View location every other Saturday before going to Fry's Electronics. Their food is healthy if you order the right things.”
“The focus is about consistently delicious food. I married into a Filipino family and have learned, as a foodie, that dishes take time, they need to simmer and they are layered with flavors and herbs. KUYA'S IS A STAPLE for our family. Take out or dine in its always delicious. Dine in and the lights may flicker... it take us out of the states and portal us towards a family that cares about food. Yum.”

“Amongst many local eateries this was a gem. Great service with a smile. The decor is simple and familiar and includes a large screen video of Vietnamese food preparation.
Coming ourselves from a city full of Vietnamese restaurants the flavours here were spot on. The portions were larger than we expected.”
“Some of the best Pho I've had. The establishment masquerades as a dive bar, but the pho and crab rangoon are legit. Doesn't jump off the menu - you have to ask for it.”
“Serving authentic Filipino food. All staff is very accommodating. The place gives nothing but good vibes and great food. A must visit Filipino restaurant in San Francisco California. 10 out of 10 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🇺🇸🇵🇭”

“Ricopan impresses with more than its delectable pastries; it stands out for its remarkable community engagement. Each visit feels like a warm embrace, highlighting Rico’s role not just as a bakery but as a community pillar. Their commitment to giving back is evident, making every bite of their exquisite desserts feel even sweeter. Ricopan is truly a beacon of both culinary mastery and community spirit.”
“I came in on (9/1) right before 7 pm with 3 of my friends. It seemed a little busy for a monday…well, it’s labor day. Our server, Betty (i think) made sure to keep bringing us fresh biscuits while we waited on our food. Betty was exceptionally sweet. I think we were her last table but she went out of her way to be nice to us. One of my friends had a togo order and she waited to make sure the burger got to us before she left her shift. she was so genuinely gracious, pleasant and accommodating We all hope she is working the next time we are in. she’s a great server.❤️ we’re already planning our next trip”
“The beef brisket, while basic and lacking in flavor, was surprisingly tender and meaty. The fried fish was just okay, nothing special. The restaurant serves authentic Chinese food, as evidenced by the predominantly Chinese patrons. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a fast-food Chinese restaurant, reminiscent of those found in Hong Kong.”

“I was impressed with my passionfruit tea with a bit of real pulp and seeds. It was $5.50 for the standard large size (24 oz) with a topping, an amazing deal in 2026. They definitely back off the ice if requested, sweetness is slightly high (their 50% is closer to my palate's 70%), and I appreciate the option to choose between green or black teas. The strawberry jellies are tasty, but were harder to suck up the straw. Service was fast and the interior has some tables with C-pop in the background; I'd be glad to hang out with my friends here.”
“Located near Luckys and Lowes, this is a neighborhood hole in the wall. It’s not an Ichi Ramen (shown in the front of the restaurant) as they just never spent the money to replace the sign. Being said this place gets packed fast especially on weekends. It’s a great spot for rice porridge and other Cantonese comfort food. Guess don’t judge the book by its cover 😉Tried the pork rice congee (hope I spelled that right) and the beef stew clay pot with both the regular and sweet Chinese doughnut. Enjoyed the tender pork and thick porridge. Beef stew was also very tender and savory 😋 I say check it out.”
“The coffee here is rich and flavorful, perfect for anyone who enjoys a darker roast. The baristas are friendly and helpful, taking the time to make drinks just the way you like them. The cafe has a relaxed vibe, making it a good spot for a quick coffee or a casual catch-up with friends. Pastries and light snacks are fresh, though some items can run out quickly during busy hours. Overall, it’s a reliable place for quality coffee and attentive service.”
“Solid pho place with good portions of tender steak meat. Broth could use more umami flavor and noodles could be chewier. The place is clean but a bit dim for my liking. I know they were going for a peaceful vibe with their background music, but it almost put me to sleep. Service is friendly and efficient.”
“I think it’s great. I really like the chicken and shrimp with rice. I’ve had the beef and that was very good too. Very well priced considering everything is expensive these days. I just hate the parking situation. You have to park far and walk over because they are in the mall”
“I have been here many times, mainly I stop by when I am in the area where I am in need of a quick bite. This spot stands out, because there are little to none Hawaiian eaterys within the area. This place is very convenient when I am here, they are located in a plaza with many parking spots that are available. This place is just like any other L&L, but they do have some items that other location might not have. Their menu consists of Hawaiian plates mini or regular size, seafood items, saimin (Noodle soups), appetizers, sandwiches, burgers, desserts and much more to choose from. Everything here is made to order which is always a plus for me since it is quality over quantity and I never mind the wait since I am a very patient person. At certain hours it can be very busy, but they cook and prep very fast where your food comes out quick. The staffs here are very welcoming, well trained, professional and understanding where I had never encountered an issue during any of my visits and I simply leave satisfied. You can order for dine in, order for takeout, place an order over the phone or have it delivered to you through a food delivery app. I highly recommend this place to all Hawaiian food enthusiasts. If you are in need of a quick bite just like me, to anyone willing to try something new or if you just so happen to be in the area to check them out. I definitely will be back to tryout the other delicious options they have to offer.”

“Love their juices. I strongly recommend that you stop by and try anything from their menu.”
“Great Sunset neighborhood Indian/Pakistani restaurant. Friendly service. Accommodates my spice shy palate. Recently introduced thali lunch boxes perfect for single diners. Reasonable prices.”

“I came in here after getting poke in the same plaza. I wanted something to drink and a smoothie sounded right up my alley. I met the owner and he was incredibly nice and even gave me a cheesecake to try. I ended up getting the strawberry mango smoothie they used real strawberry and it was delicious.”
“For the price you are paying, this is a bargain. It is a new business. The food is really good. even you can read it on the lower rating reviews. You can be a judge for yourself. Give it a shot. Food is really good. I am in no relationship nor know the owner of the business. I am going back again tonight.”
“The best Palestinian/Jordanian/Lebanese food ever! So happy it’s open again in San Bruno 😍”
