“On election night (November 4 ) the Pelosi volunteer party was held here. Since I was way early I decided to order dinner. The owner was very helpful in showing me how to use the computerized ordering system I jokingly told him that now that I knew the system i would have to come back before I forgot. I didn't know at the time that I would discover a sandwich which was truly worth coming back for. I love bacon. I love shrimp. Either one would earn a favorable review from me. However to combine them both and add avocado, lettuce and tomato was just beyond delicious. I now have a new addiction!! The CHIPTOLE JUMBO SHRIMP BLT! The jumbo refers to both the size of the shrimp and the sandwich! Friday, November 7, I found myself again n the Castro for a morning appointment. I was pleased to see that they opened at 11 am. I ordered another CHIPTOLE JUMBO SHRIMP BLT and discovered the second time it was as good as the first time!!“

“WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!! Smokin D's BBQ far exceeded my expectations when providing super delicious Southern food for my brother's memorial! I would give them 5+ stars if I could! First, owners Daniel and Lareina met with me at the venue a few weeks in advance and carefully went over every detail of each dish that I wanted. Since I wasn't sure if our guests could eat spicy food, they took out the jalapeños from the mini cornbread muffins and any spice from the other dishes I wanted. When I talked about wanting a sweeter coleslaw, Daniel asked if I wanted KFC-style coleslaw, which was exactly what I was looking for. Second, on the day of the memorial, Daniel and Lareina arrived on time with all of the hot and cold food ready to go. All I had to do was show them where to place the trays. Third, after our guests left, Daniel and Lareina were very quick to pick up all of their equipment, which meant that I could go home earlier than expected. Most importantly, all of our guests absolutely RAVED about all of the food, especially about the smoked pulled pork and cornbread muffins!!! In fact, many sent me texts later saying that the food was a "huge hit" and asking me for the company's name, which I was pleased to provide. The sauc were the perfect complement each one unique and bursting with flavor, from the tangy and sweet to the rich and spicy.

The stinky tofu came out first and luckily the smell did not linger. We were surprised at how affordable it was. The food did end up over lapping but the flavor profile is more or less the same.“

“Really good Chinese BBQ place. All of the bread items we tried were flaky and tasty, highly recommend the brown sugar one. The skewers were all solid, and I appreciated that the beef had a more teriyaki-style flavor, because too much cumin starts to get a bit sameish. In that regard, you should consider getting an order of the lettuce leaves to use as a wrap for the skewers, it's a great palette cleanser and adds some nice texture.

Would love to go again, but it's a bit far from my house and Chinese BBQ isn't something you can do too frequently.“

“The tater tots were so good! They were very crispy and not oily. I loved dipping it in their original sauce. I had their baby back ribs too and it was okay. It was pretty dry and didn't fall off the bone and I dipped it in the sauce for flavor.

There were plenty of tables to choose from, you order at the register, grab a seat, and wait for your name to be called for your order. It's pretty loud in there so you have to stand near the window to listen for your name.

Overall I'd come back for the tots and try something else.“

It was busy on a Saturday evening with what seems like a lot of regulars. We were a party of 5 and they sat us at a table for 4 and added a chair on the end. Once we ordered, they moved us to a big table. We ordered way too much for 5 people. Ending up taking a lot home.

Everything was very good. Except the veggie was a little too tough/mature. And the mixed mushroom with egg tofu was not mixed mushroom but only one type of mushroom. The egg tofu was very good with the broccoli.

The bbq pork with chicken appetizer was good too. The bbq pork was so juicy and flavorful.

Portions here are very big and prices are reasonable.“

“Korean place with good vegan options. Items are labelled vegetarian on the menu, some items need to be modified to be made vegan. Clarify that the banchans are vegan (they have fish cake sometimes). Like greens, bean sprouts, and fried tofu banchan they have. Bathroom was nice and clean.

Love the mushroom tofu soup, really flavorful and they are generous with the mushrooms. Also got the hot stone tofu bibimbap, make sure to ask for no egg to make it vegan. Good option to go to if going with a group of omnis, can also accomodate larger groups as well but would consider making a reservation if the party is 6+.“

Parking can be somewhat difficult since the lot is shared with In-N-Out, which gets busy quickly, especially during peak hours. I almost always order ahead, so the wait time is reasonable and pickup is smooth.

The ambiance is just okay. It is casual and functional, nothing special. The cashiers are fine, not overly friendly but not rude, and service is straightforward.
