“I have been here many times, mainly I stop by when I am in the area where I am in need of a quick bite. This spot stands out, because there are little to none Hawaiian eaterys within the area. This place is very convenient when I am here, they are located in a plaza with many parking spots that are available. This place is just like any other L&L, but they do have some items that other location might not have. Their menu consists of Hawaiian plates mini or regular size, seafood items, saimin (Noodle soups), appetizers, sandwiches, burgers, desserts and much more to choose from. Everything here is made to order which is always a plus for me since it is quality over quantity and I never mind the wait since I am a very patient person. At certain hours it can be very busy, but they cook and prep very fast where your food comes out quick. The staffs here are very welcoming, well trained, professional and understanding where I had never encountered an issue during any of my visits and I simply leave satisfied. You can order for dine in, order for takeout, place an order over the phone or have it delivered to you through a food delivery app. I highly recommend this place to all Hawaiian food enthusiasts. If you are in need of a quick bite just like me, to anyone willing to try something new or if you just so happen to be in the area to check them out. “WOW, porchetta sammie in the Castro? Ridiculously delicious, like you need to order. Not traditional italian porchetta slices of meat, but even better, chunky cuts of buttery tender goodness. Solid smoke aroma and taste without being overbearing. You get a slight tang of the vinegar mop, but again, not overbearing or distracting. We also ordered smashburgers and those were good, but for me the star was the pork.

I'd like to try the trio sampler or go full on into the pastrami on rye! I hear the pizza square is also pretty tasty.

“WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!! Smokin D's BBQ far exceeded my expectations when providing super delicious Southern food for my brother's memorial! I would give them 5+ stars if I could! First, owners Daniel and Lareina met with me at the venue a few weeks in advance and carefully went over every detail of each dish that I wanted. Since I wasn't sure if our guests could eat spicy food, they took out the jalapeños from the mini cornbread muffins and any spice from the other dishes I wanted. When I talked about wanting a sweeter coleslaw, Daniel asked if I wanted KFC-style coleslaw, which was exactly what I was looking for. Second, on the day of the memorial, Daniel and Lareina arrived on time with all of the hot and cold food ready to go. All I had to do was show them where to place the trays. Third, after our guests left, Daniel and Lareina were very quick to pick up all of their equipment, which meant that I could go home earlier than expected. Most importantly, all of our guests absolutely RAVED about all of the food, especially about the smoked pulled pork and cornbread muffins!!! In fact, many sent me texts later saying that the food was a "huge hit" and asking me for the company's name, which I was pleased to provide. If any friend wants catered BBQ for their parties, I will recommend Smokin D's BBQ in SF in a heartbeat! SIMPLY AWESOME!!!“

“We’ve been here twice, but only downstairs, which can get very noisy. Their yakitori is very good. We also tried the mentaiko udon and grilled corn and both were good, too.

There’s a public parking garage behind the restaurant. Parking is free after 6 pm. You can enter the restaurant through the back door.“

“I always drive by this place and have never stopped. Figured we needed good bbq for Juneteenth. It did not disappoint. Excellent service and delicious food, even my teens chowed down. Easy to park by the community center. Try it. The meat is smoked to perfection. The baked beans have ground turkey. Enjoy!“

“Our family has been stopping by to eat Pete's BBq since he first opened in 1976, my late father took me when I was 7 years old now I'm 56and still love Pete's, we moved to Fort Worth Texas in 2022, my wife and I came to visit relatives the week and had to stop by and visit Pete and his great food, nice seeing you again Pete, he always brings back great memories.

“When I first walked into this establishment, I didn’t know my taste buds would get a glimpse of heaven. My food was perfectly cooked and seasoned— from the wrap, to the falafel and hummus. Not only is everything delicious, but it was all so fresh I genuinely tasted the freshness. Additionally, staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the establishment itself is so nice. “Came here with a group of five for an early dinner on a Saturday afternoon (4PM). There was plenty of space inside since it was a winky meal time, and there was no wait. It was quiet when we first arrived, but it gradually filled with more people and chatter. Parking was easy; I was lucky to find street parking right in front of the restaurant.

The interior is cute and themed like China in olden times. I liked how the food was served on long platters with little candles underneath to keep everything warm, which made sharing easy. Two of my friends were trying Chinese skewers for the first time.

We ordered everything through a QR code, and the system was straightforward. The menu being visual online helped made ordering easier. The food came out in good timing. The staff was helpful whenever we had questions about what certain items were. Water refills were easy to flag down.

The cucumber salad was a huge portion and so refreshing. We wish the cold potato salad was a bit softer (it was crunchy). We didn't find anything too spicy.

For the skewers, everything was juicy and well-seasoned. The flavoring was great. My personal favorites were the beef and lamb sticks which were tender. We also tried items like gristle, gizzard, and gluten (yum!)

We ended up spending a little over $30 per person after tax and tip.

Overall, this was a fun group meal and I'm glad it was a good introduction for my friends who hadn't tried this style of skewers before. I'd recommend it!“

“My family and I decided to drop by because my mom had come here with a friend before. Upon entrance, I was sort of confused until we were led into an enormous seating area with decorated walls. We were sat down and the server, Natalie, met us with instant kindness. The menu consisted of a lot of cool dishes, but we decided on a simple meat-glass noodle combination thing that was put over one of those black circles that heats it up. “Comfort food. Was craving some Hawaiian food so dragged the fellas to south SF to try this spot which was takeout only. My first time I got the Loco Moco (hamburger steak with eggs and gravy on rice and macaroni salad. GAS) and the next night had to come back and try the chicken katsu (also over rice and macaroni salad. ALSO GAS). Also each plate ran us less than $15 for huge portions. I need this spot in Massachusetts.“

“Really good Chinese BBQ place. All of the bread items we tried were flaky and tasty, highly recommend the brown sugar one. The skewers were all solid, and I appreciated that the beef had a more teriyaki-style flavor, because too much cumin starts to get a bit sameish. In that regard, you should consider getting an order of the lettuce leaves to use as a wrap for the skewers, it's a great palette cleanser and adds some nice texture.

Would love to go again, but it's a bit far from my house and Chinese BBQ isn't something you can do too frequently.“

“Our band, Drini & the Bad Kats Band, played at the venue for the first time last night. The entire staff, patrons and owner were great. Our friends loved the venue as well. They take the bowl and let you choose which sauces/fresh garlic/ seasoning you want on it and throw it on a flat top grill with a bowl full if noodles. It's great for the price. “Really solidly good Hawaiian food. I had family visiting from France who wanted to try Hawaiian food and they loved it! Especially high praise coming from Parisians used to amazing restaurants. It's a small place and nothing fancy but the food is really, really good. If you haven't been, you should definitely try it!“

“Street parking can be hard but we were lucky to find one not too far away.

It was busy on a Saturday evening with what seems like a lot of regulars. We were a party of 5 and they sat us at a table for 4 and added a chair on the end. Once we ordered, they moved us to a big table. We ordered way too much for 5 people. Ending up taking a lot home.

Everything was very good. Except the veggie was a little too tough/mature. And the mixed mushroom with egg tofu was not mixed mushroom but only one type of mushroom. The egg tofu was very good with the broccoli.

The bbq pork with chicken appetizer was good too. The bbq pork was so juicy and flavorful.

Portions here are very big and prices are reasonable.“

“I’ve walked Noriega street multiple times and never realized there was a good Korean restaurant here! It is easy to miss unless you’re looking for The Crew, which is why I’m glad a friend recommended this place to me.

What I liked about eating here is that the food is served HOT. We had the soft tofu soup, seafood pancake, stone pot bibimbap, and 1/2 serving of galbi. The portions are generous and it fulfilled our craving for Korean food. The banchan (small plates) is average at best, but that did not deter from the experience. The food we did order was exceptional.“

“Korean place with good vegan options. Items are labelled vegetarian on the menu, some items need to be modified to be made vegan. Clarify that the banchans are vegan (they have fish cake sometimes). Like greens, bean sprouts, and fried tofu banchan they have. Bathroom was nice and clean.

Love the mushroom tofu soup, really flavorful and they are generous with the mushrooms. Also got the hot stone tofu bibimbap, make sure to ask for no egg to make it vegan. Good option to go to if going with a group of omnis, can also accomodate larger groups as well but would consider making a reservation if the party is 6+.“
