“I've had this place bookmarked for 3 months and finally got the chance to go. After reading reviews, I went early and started lining up at 11:40am and there was already ~20 parties ahead of us. Once they opened, someone came out with brisket samples. It took about an hour til we were ordering. I've never had Texas BBQ so I can't compare but the meats were so good!! The brisket was fatty, smoky, and well seasoned. The beef back ribs were a little smokier also delicious. The bbq sauce and pickled onions made for the perfect bite, along with the sides. The nasi goreng was a pretty standard fried rice that paired with the meat but I wouldn't get it again. The slaw is refreshing and was very peanutty but I wish it was a little more acidic. The rendang plate was a miss for me. The brisket was very dry and it was too smoky for my liking for a curry. I LOVED the kale curry side in the plate though. I don't like kale but I would eat it all the time if it was always cooked like this lol. I suggest getting the belado plate to try a different meat. I would definitely come back and wait an hour again and try the rest of their menu. :)“
“I was invited for a family private party at this restaurant and I was shocked at the affordable prices for all the delicious entrées. From the beginning with the egg drop soup, the spare ribs, fried rice, til the end with the almond cookies. The service, the quality and the price were all excellent. If you're in the area see for yourself. You won't be disappointed.“
“SOOOOOOOO many TVs for the game. They have really good Happy Hour deals also. Usually seems to be a lot of take out but that just makes the food service so much better because there are not a ton of other people sitting down. Love the rib tips and Nikko makes the best “
“All food that we ordered were so great!! Especially, Stella’s garden(shabu-shabu style pot dish menu) and Rib&corn cheese were above the beyond. Me and my friends had a great time in this restaurant and were planning to visit again soon.“
“The Vons Chicken is so delicious. If you like spicy, yangnyum should be your go to wing flavor. If you prefer no spice, I’m a big fan of the padak wings. They’re always pretty quick. The only challenge with this place is that it’s kind of a Vons ghost kitchen (you can’t eat it there). Just plan to take your wings home or to the nearby Crown Memorial Beach Park or something and you’re all set!“
“Wasn’t expecting much but wow. I ate like an animal while driving and I came out a gentleman. Got the island fish and bbq chicken combo. The bbq chicken was tender, juicy, grilled to perfection with a crisp and sweet bite. You know when something isn’t bursting with different flavors but it just focuses on one and it does it well? They somehow managed to focus on the one satisfying flavor you want in a piece of bbq chicken. Then the island fish, crispy fried but not heavy, tender and succulent, it was as if it was marinated in a flavorful broth before frying it. With other Hawaiian places, it’s too much of this or too much of that or not enough but here it’s different. The flavors are on point and the island fish flavor stays with me. I’m still thinking about it like how is it that good? The Mac salad was extremely fresh, there’s even an Al dente bite to the mac. The rice had a very subtle hint of seaweed flavor. Made me feel like I was on the beach eating this meal. Now I really want to go back and order the same things again. I have to since it’s all gone and I don’t have any pics. This was right when they opened around 11 am on Thursday, service was great as well. And environment is really warm and friendly. I’m coming back cuz it hit a lot of spots that I can’t even explain:)Edit: the island fish wasn’t good. It was incredible. The flavor is still in my mind I still don’t know how they did it. I’m thinking of all the fried fish I’ve had this was the best. It’s crazy I know but I would go back there again and again for the fish because it had such a unique and hearty brothy flavor ???“
