“Real, honest BBQ. I had the 2 meat combo with brisket, ribs, mac & cheese and potato salad. Best BBQ I have had since I was in Austin Texas! The owner was working hard with the rest of his employees and was the one to take my order. He seemed very nice and was helpful. I work within walking distance so I can see myself becoming a regular here. Canyons is an excellent addition to Castro Valley's food scene.“

“This is a family owned restaurant, the food and services was so great, they have lunch special all day for 14.99 steamed rice, vegetables spring rolls & salad you can’t beat that. I tried the fried chicken cake and some garlic mussels, very tasty! The place is clean and very welcoming. I would totally become their number one customer after the services“

“I met a friend for lunch who had picked this restaurant because he had passed it many times taking his son to school. The food was tasty and seasoned, which I find rare when restaurants try to cook southern dishes here in the Bay Area. I had the fried catfish, while my friend had a combo plate. We shared greens, yams and mac-n-cheese. Come and enjoy the relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Reminds me of an Ole Country Juke Joint! Get there early because the parking lot fills up fast! “Our family has known Peni, Sherry,there kids and grandkids for over 12 yrs now. Once I saw and smelled the bbq over 12 yrs ago I gravitated towards it and have been a huge fan since. Their island q is the best on the mainland and I recommend trying it all since I don’t have a favorite. You can see the passion and love that this family puts towards sharing a little bit of their heritage through their food with all of us. “Awesome take out smokehouse disguised as a bodega. If you're looking for some awesome take out BBQ just to the east of 880 from San Leandro go to the World Championship Smokehouse. If you need some groceries and some awesome barbecue this place is even better because it has a little store attached. Service is really fast, the folks taking your order are bilingual, the parking lot is huge, and the food is delicious.“

“I’ve just recently discovered ibringdasmoke and I’m glad I did! My first order with them was the smoked brisket…it was so good! I just recently ordered a slab of ribs from them and my friend and I loved it! We got a little sample of the Mexican street corn which was very nice of them. I thought it was ok, but my friend enjoyed it. Their spices and the tenderness of their meats are great as well as their bbq sauce. The meat isn’t overly salty which is great. I have recommended this place to my friends and I will definitely be back!“

“I came into this restaurant because usually the lights line was way too long and I was looking for something delicious. And now as much as I love me a good cheap overpacked meal over there at asia, I thought why not try this place out? I love Chinese barbecue. And my goodness did it not disappoint. I was served quickly, efficiently and before you know it, I had some crispy pork belly over rice in my hands.
I didn't get a drink so I had to go nearby to get one. But in between the drive I took a little sample of that pork belly and that initial bite was just absolutely phenomenal. Now I will say because of the way that they get the crispiness. This is more on the saltier side for some of you folks so just be aware of that. But if you're all for that you're going to enjoy this pork belly because it was absolutely fantastic. The crisp to the tenderness of the actual meat itself. You can see it for yourself in the pictures. Absolute chef's kiss. Give yourself a little treat and come by and try this place out.

I will say at the lunch buffet didn't look as appetizing but maybe that's because I'm spoiled with you. Know who but for the barbecue this was immaculate. I'm going to try the duck next

“I have now been to this location at least 5 times. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere cheerful, with enough seating both inside and out. I like that they have self-serve water. I keep wanting to try something new -- they have lots of options -- but every time I order the avocado smash toast, I am always so satisfied and delighted that I can't bring myself to order something else! The avocado is ALWAYS fresh and never past its prime. That must be hard to do. I appreciate their quality assurance. (I can recall from other restaurants or sandwich shops the disappointment of paying extra for avocado but getting fruit that has that weird/bad taste of old avocados.) The smash has these scrumptious little marinated cherry tomatoes and microgreens and the tiniest hint of heat from a little chili oil. Yum. A feast the the eyes, too. Toastique in Danville is a great place to have a leisurely breakfast with a friend or a post-workout snack. I also want to given a shout out to the owner who was working on June 2 for the Danville Restaurant Walk. Thank you for being so friendly and generous!“

“Rocky's has been a great place to enjoy for quite a long time. I have enjoyed many different burgers here but I do love the western style with onion rings and bacon and cheese and of course barbecue sauce. I have been here after trips to the Oakland zoo. I have been here with family members that decided to meet here for a great burger and some fries. I've also been here with just a minimal amount of money in my pocket to enjoy a burger and some comfort close to my home neighborhood off of Davis Street. I have to say this place is a hidden gem and if you know it's worth it to go and have a nice burger the way you like it and enjoy your time in San Leandro. It is close to St. Leander's if you are headed there, but it's also really close to most of downtown San Leandro within walking distance which is really enjoyable if you're looking to go up and down East 14th and enjoy all the different businesses of San Leandro has to offer. I really enjoy this place for the flavor and the burgers the way that they're dressed and the size that you can have. It is definitely worth a try.“

“My favorite Filipino food spot in the Bay Area! The food here tastes like home. The food is always good whatever you order, and the prices are a great value. I always try to come here regularly.

Just know that the inside seating is very limited and there are not that many tables. So, it's sometimes hard to get seating during busy hours. However, the food is prepared fairly quickly and table turn over is fast.“

I will go there every week if I could. Everything was tender. Delicious, flavorful, colorful and pretty much healthy, which is rare nowadays.
