“Came here with a coupon for a half-priced lunch plate. I ordered the "fire chicken lunch plate" with a drink (as per the coupon). It came with two-scoops of steamed rice and one-scoop of macaroni salad. Great amount of food for the couponed-price but not as good a value without the coupon (price was just under $11, with tax). $7.00 more, without the coupon. Food was excellent, as the fire chicken was mildly hot and spicy. The bed of veggies (broccoli and cabbage) was fresh/crunchy. Mac salad was good and the steamed rice was perfectly made. The iced-tea was from a spigot-mix and was awful. The spigot it came out of dispensed more water than tea (so, the IT tasted more like water and less like tea). Cashier was indifferent but courteous. The eating area felt more like a cafeteria but I think they are going for that indoor "Hawaiian feel" (they had outdoor seats too). Pricey choice for CV but food was solid/excellent.“

Nice selection of meals and combos.Parking: Parking can be a challenge during peak meal hours, as lunch. Parking lot is shared with other businesses. Free parking. Redwood road is a busy street, so patience is warranted.“

“Finally, I got to try this food truck that always spills out BBQ smell at the farmers market. We got the today special plate that comes with stir-fried grass noodles, rice, and grilled pork because this menu doesn't always come. Took about 5-10 min to get our food. The noodles and rice were very soft and easily digested (nothing to really chew). The pork has a very good smoked flavor, and the portion size was generous. We shared one plate with two persons, which was good for lunch. It's definitely not a healthier option considering the near absence of veggies and high carb/fat contents, but once in a while, it gives you that guilty pleasure. :-) (I hope the workers there wear a protective mask. It's very smokey nearby, and keep inhaling those vapors might not be good)“
“I really REALLY recommend this place for family and friends the food is AMAZING ever since I tried the tacos I could not stop going here every day. The service is ok there in the middle for fast food because sometimes they have to many orders and they go really slow but over all it’s great . The atmosphere needs a little more decor kinda boring just seeing a table and you food.“

“I've ordered takeout from ILava a couple times on Doordash. Their orders have been tasty, with pretty good portion size relative to the price (these days). I've had their Chicken Combo Plate (Chicken Katsu and Chicken Teriyaki), Walnut Prawns and the Curry Chicken (BBQ Chicken with Curry Sauce instead of the teriyaki sauce). Their normal plates come with two scoops of rice and one scoop of macaroni salad. Compared to some of the other Hawaiian places in the area, this is probably one of my new favorites.“
“This has to be one of those hole in the wall Chinese spots that if you quickly drove by, you wouldn't have realized it was a gold mine! First off, quality of their food was amazing! After getting back home with our to go box, the fried food was still CRISPY. It was the crispy fish filet that sold us! Wow, batter was amazing, fluffy and did I say... crispy? Let's talk about the service, upon walking in I was immediately greeted with a friendly hello and smile by a younger girl who looked like she was probably helping her family's business, scooping away filing orders and still able to friendly greet me. Ambience was more to go style but they did have some tables and benches you'd be able to enjoy your food at. Parking might also be hard to come by since it's on a main busy street as well. “Craving authentic Hawaiian food? This place is not fake like the other "Hawaiian BBQ" places that fall short on quality and flavor. This is small batch and very delicious. I mean....poi & kulolo? The laulau reminds me of home, so ono. The smoked meat is incredible. Give this place a try. Remember, it's only to-go so bring a cooler if you have to holoholo afterwards. “Actually SO yummy.My friend and I shared the mochiko chicken plate. The mac salad is well seasoned, above your average mac salad from the salad bar. The kale, tomato, and cucumber was drenched in such yummy sauce as well (idk what it was but it had a hint of sweetness which liked) and the star of the show, the CHICKEN. Absolutely glorious. The only thing have had that can realy compare it to is a perfect karage. It is so tender, juicy, and the perfect amount of crispy. The sauce and rice are given in just the right portions to compliment this mouthwatering chicken. The staff was also really kind, adding to the overall welcoming and relaxed mood of the place. The inside is well decorated with some good times playing along with two indoor seating areas. The rest of the seating is outside with these umbrellas for sunny days so it is pretty open to you and your friends to chill and hang out for however long you want. Outside, there is self-served water as well as a bar for drinks but is still family friendly. The place is also overall well kept, being very clean. The vibes of the place were overall good and very enjoyable.The size of this meal is pretty hefty, it is $17 after all. It is so good though could eat up the whole thing myself but probably be on the verge of exploding at the end so would definitely recommend to share with a friend or you could save the rest for later. However, I definitely want to return to try more of their menu.“

“Their chicken and rice is delicious I usually ask for no onions in my salad and they're able to work with me but not this last visit they weren't able to do so. Their food might be pricey by one plate usually lasts me two servings. Definitely recommend the teriyaki chicken Aloha plate.“
“Absolutely super tasty with nice variety of toppings. The team making the food was helpful and explained what different things were and gave some good recommendations regarding sauce combinations. The fish is fresh and the everything else is was crisp and delicious. Medium portion is huge so they are very generous with their scoops. We took out but there was plenty of table space. Parking is plentiful. The only reason I'm not 5 staring this place is due to all the extra fees. Every time I asked for something I heard "that's extra". Just build it into the pricing. Sorry it's my pet peeve. All in all a great experience. By all means try it out. I will be back. Let's support our local businesses!“
