“I visited this restaurant twice. It was so good I went back for seconds, lol. However, the second time I ordered a meat meal. The bbq Hawaiin chicken was so good both times, but the chicken Katsu lacked seasoning but was crunchy and hot. I loved the macaroni salad! I will still eat here, but I will order the bbq chicken

“Our family has known Peni, Sherry,there kids and grandkids for over 12 yrs now. Once I saw and smelled the bbq over 12 yrs ago I gravitated towards it and have been a huge fan since. Their island q is the best on the mainland and I recommend trying it all since I don’t have a favorite. You can see the passion and love that this family puts towards sharing a little bit of their heritage through their food with all of us. I ordered the BBQ chicken and I was impressed by the flavor and the quality of the chicken. It wasn't dried out but was nice and moist. Exactly what I would want.
The macaroni salad was okay, It wasn't the best hawaiian macaroni salad I've had, but it wasn't worse either not a whole lot of flavor to it .
The service was really fast like within 2 minutes.
The atmosphere was typical small busness resturant. Nothing elegant, but functional and clean.

“I am trying to give everything in this neighborhood plaza a go. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by amazing poke in Japantown, or maybe I came on a bad day, but this was the worst poke I’ve had. This fish looked not fresh and the mixings were odd. But the storefront is cozy and decorated well, and this neighborhood desperately needs a non-Asian lunch spot, so I will give them a go again..“

“I had the chicken beef and ribs bento box. The ribs were so good I went back and ordered another set of ribs for later. The customer service was awesome I had never been there before and they were quick to point out their favorite recommendations so thumbs up. Sorry I didn't take any pictures cuz I ate it too fast.“

“Biggest torta I ever had! Big enough to share and packed with meat also pineapples! The tacos , burritos and nachos was so flavorful too! The owner was really nice and friendly made me feel comfortable! There is plenty parking and a cute little seating area and also a park for the kids to play around! Highly recommend!“

“We ordered the mapo tofu, bbq beef, and typhoon shelter chicken wings. You can hear the crunch in the chicken wings from a mile away. They wait to fry the wings to guarantee freshness. The ma po tofu was silky, spicy and savory. Everything had the perfect amount of seasoning and saltiness.
This has to be the best Chinese food restaurant in the Bay Area.“
