“Food here is great! Love the Hula Work BBQ meal I ordered. Serving is huge, fulfilling. Authentic Cantonese flavor and service is fast. Enjoyed hearing the chef while he is cooking in the kitchen, brings back memories of some restaurants in Chinatown. Place is also nice and cozy. Good for family or group of friends dining in. Definitely recommended to those looking or craving Cantonese food.Parking: Common parking and free with access to other stores nearby.“
“I'm not a poke person. I'd stay FAR away from raw fish, and wouldn't appreciate it in the few times I had it. So whenever we came to Poke Don (because my wife loves poke), I'd always opt for the cooked "poke bake." Which is basically like a whole bowl of a deconstructed Lion King roll. And I loved it. For years, I had the poke bake. And it'd be enough if this review ended here. I'd probably give it 5 stars based on their poke bake alone - because I can eat it (since it's cooked) and I enjoy it. But one time, I DID decide to try a regular poke bowl. With little to no raw fish, of course. Unagi, tamago, fake crab, real crab - there's definitely a way to do it. Except I put in one scoop of raw salmon. And to my surprise, I actually didn't mind the blend of everything (including the salmon) with the sauce, rice, and toppings. Even I was shocked that I liked it. Since that day, I'm able to mix up my orders. Sometimes I'll stick with the ol' reliable - the poke bake. And sometimes, I'll get an actual poke bowl - of course with unagi and crab meat. Well, and maybe 2 scoops of salmon too.“
“Oke Poke in Walnut Creek is the bomb! Seriously, if you're into poke bowls, this place rocks. The vibe is chill, the staff are cool, and the food? It's top-notch.They've got everything you need for the perfect poke bowl – fresh fish, loads of toppings, and killer sauces. Plus, you can build your own bowl, so it's totally customized to your taste.Portions are generous, and the presentation? On point. Plus, the staff are super friendly and always happy to help out.If you're craving some awesome poke, hit up Oke Poke. Trust me, you won't regret it! ??“
“The best marinated poke in all of the tri-valley. As someone born and raised in Hawaii real poke has the fish marinated in the sauce for a while and not just sprayed on and then mix together. The portion sizes are really good and the fried won ton chips or nachos as they call it adds a special touch.“
“The BBQ beef and the BBQ Chicken is Amazing!!!! hands down best food in the area! Super reasonably priced and parking is easy. So good you will want to go every day! Plus the guy you oder with knows the menu back and forth and can help make suggestion.“
“Really good poke, lots of options for how you want it and the fish is fresh with solid portions. Can be pricey though- a large bowl alone can be like $25 with tip. Funny atmosphere to be eating Hawaiian originating dish to some Bad Bunny at a mall where every minute someone is walking in demanding to eat their food they bought somewhere else in the seating area. Just a bit of a wacky atmosphere to recommend you eating in the mall lol“
“Craving authentic Hawaiian food? This place is not fake like the other "Hawaiian BBQ" places that fall short on quality and flavor. This is small batch and very delicious. I mean....poi & kulolo? The laulau reminds me of home, so ono. The smoked meat is incredible. Give this place a try. Remember, it's only to-go so bring a cooler if you have to holoholo afterwards. I usually can't wait and eat in the car! Shoots!“
“Fun decor, slightly nostalgic like a piece of Pirates themed ride for adults. Beware: drinks are very strong (and the liquor is not blended in well to the mixers). Food is just okay but not many choices for dietary restrictions. Staff is friendly but it’s often difficult to get their attention so wait times to order or receive your food/drinks can be long.Overall: it’s fun to check out, maybe for one drink, but it’s not my first recommendation for most people.“
“Absolutely super tasty with nice variety of toppings. The team making the food was helpful and explained what different things were and gave some good recommendations regarding sauce combinations. The fish is fresh and the everything else is was crisp and delicious. Medium portion is huge so they are very generous with their scoops. We took out but there was plenty of table space. Parking is plentiful. The only reason I'm not 5 staring this place is due to all the extra fees. Every time I asked for something I heard "that's extra". Just build it into the pricing. Sorry it's my pet peeve. All in all a great experience. By all means try it out. I will be back. Let's support our local businesses!“
“Five stars to this restaurant for absolute certain. To begin with, the location is fantastic and there's plenty of parking behind the restaurant on the street. It's right downtown and is a perfect spot to grab a quicker bite than a traditional sit down restaurant. The poke is very fresh, they have good topping options, and the staff are very friendly. There aren't many experiences better than enjoying some fresh, cold sushi on a warm day in the outdoor seating.“
“We love this place! Getting a poke bowl here is our main motivation to go to the premium outlet! It’s a 50 minute drive for us but we make sure to stop and eat there regardless of time of the day. The ingredients are way more fresh than the poke bowls we had in south bay, they have more topping options, miso soup os great, and the price is fair.“
“This is a sweet and small shop! The workers were nice, helpful, and greeted me when I came in. I stopped by on a late evening and it was not busy at all. I got my order within 5 minutes or so. Drink-- strawberry horchata- I thought this was pretty good! It wasn't too sweet and you could definitely taste the strawberry. The horchata was apparent, but it was more subtle than I what I wanted. The boba was also okay, but I could do without it next time. - ube horchata- I didn't think I could taste the ube much in this one. Other than that, the drink was good and not too sweet!Coming back to try some other drinks!“
“A bit of an unpredictable situation. Took my team here for lunch right when location opened at 11am. After our first two orders the system freezes. New associate working his first solo day had to call for support. So in the midst of we were asked to use the kiosk, as we proceeded to use the kiosk the associates shut the whole system down. So we waited for a reboot. Eventually every go there order, I ordered the number 2 bowl which has shrimp in it. But when I opened my food to eat it. I had NO shrimp in my meal. And I received my meal at about 1137. This location is also hiring. A little uniques first visit. Not saying that I wouldn't go back but it raised a yellow flag in my book. Over all was a passable extensive visit.“
“Fantastic selection and quality of ingredients. Loved choosing 3 bases (kelp noodles were awesome and enjoyed the citrus kale and mixed greens), 4 proteins, and the delicious sides included with the regular poke bowl/box. Generous portions and good value! I had enough for leftovers but the box gets soggy (love that it's compostable though) so transfer into a leak-proof container before refrigerating. ;)“
“Been here many times over the years and have always left feeling satisfied. The food quality has always been great and very importantly, they don't overcook the meat! I came here for lunch because I ran some errands; and the combo meal really hit the spot. The chicken combo or the seafood one are both delicious! The staff is courteous and professional and service swift. What more to ask for?“
“Came here with a coupon for a half-priced lunch plate. I ordered the "fire chicken lunch plate" with a drink (as per the coupon). It came with two-scoops of steamed rice and one-scoop of macaroni salad. Great amount of food for the couponed-price but not as good a value without the coupon (price was just under $11, with tax). $7.00 more, without the coupon. Food was excellent, as the fire chicken was mildly hot and spicy. The bed of veggies (broccoli and cabbage) was fresh/crunchy. Mac salad was good and the steamed rice was perfectly made. The iced-tea was from a spigot-mix and was awful. The spigot it came out of dispensed more water than tea (so, the IT tasted more like water and less like tea). Cashier was indifferent but courteous. The eating area felt more like a cafeteria but I think they are going for that indoor "Hawaiian feel" (they had outdoor seats too). Pricey choice for CV but food was solid/excellent.“
“Finally, I got to try this food truck that always spills out BBQ smell at the farmers market. We got the today special plate that comes with stir-fried grass noodles, rice, and grilled pork because this menu doesn't always come. Took about 5-10 min to get our food. The noodles and rice were very soft and easily digested (nothing to really chew). The pork has a very good smoked flavor, and the portion size was generous. We shared one plate with two persons, which was good for lunch. It's definitely not a healthier option considering the near absence of veggies and high carb/fat contents, but once in a while, it gives you that guilty pleasure. :-) (I hope the workers there wear a protective mask. It's very smokey nearby, and keep inhaling those vapors might not be good)“
