“Ate here for the first time and will 100% be back. We got their brisket sandwich, Mac &meat with pulled pork on top, beans, cornbread, and fried pickles. The owner told us he brought the recipe for the fried pickles here with him from Arkansas and they were hands down the best I’ve had- super light but extremely flavorful. And the in-house made BBQ sauce was incredible. Highly recommend!“

“Real, honest BBQ. I had the 2 meat combo with brisket, ribs, mac & cheese and potato salad. Best BBQ I have had since I was in Austin Texas! The owner was working hard with the rest of his employees and was the one to take my order. He seemed very nice and was helpful. I work within walking distance so I can see myself becoming a regular here. Canyons is an excellent addition to Castro Valley's food scene.“

“The best BLTA! Food is served quickly and staff is very attentive. If I’m going downtown I’m usually stopping for Sunrise. I’ve never had something I didn’t like from here. I bring my friends and family here because it’s the best.“
“First visit, weeknight, not crowded. Food very good to excellent. Beet trio appetizer superb. Not clear if the 3 dipping sauces were for beets or brisket but good either way. Fiancee had wagyu burger, excellent. I had the combo plate…brisket a tad dry, fried chicken very good, corn bread muffin & cole slaw great. Extensive wine list, top labels. We shared a flight and each had a glass of bubbly. Portion size good … I had leftovers for breakfast. Server Jeff casual but on the ball with advice. Menu somewhat limited, especially for vegans.“

“I stopped by expecting a basic experience as I was charging my car nearby. I was blown away by the customer service to start, everything was explained in a way that was easily digestible(literally) and the Ball-Tip sandwich recommendation was right on point. Sandwich was probably one of the best I’ve had in my life ,next time getting extra meat. Before heading out I was greeted by a different cashier, a young lady ,and asked her could I buy a single rib to try, after trying the ribs I know for sure this place is a favorite of mines now for sure! 5 stars!“

“I catered a small surprise party from Toastique for my husband's 50th. The plans were last minute, but Linh was most helpful. She worked with me to sort through options, and helped me come up with a menu that worked well for a Sunday brunch. Loved the toasts we ordered (avo smash, greek and pb crunch) and the fresh juices were an absolute hit. The fruit platter was oh so good. Everything looked beautiful! Linh was very flexible and delivered on time.“

“Dublin is my favorite location for YGF malatang. Food is fresh with wonderful service. They have a great selection of items and they also offer ace king bbq. Love the waitress that works here. She is super nice and friendly. They offer Labubu drawing starting August and I got super lucky!!! I got Loyalty ❤️“

“I've been eating here for years. I love the expanded menu, but the food is just not as good as it used to be. The Tri-Tip used to be really exceptional. Lately, it's been fatty and just ok. The grilled chicken breast was also not as flavorful as before. You get the feeling they are either cutting corners or not caring as much anymore.“

“I only got 8 ban chan, that's still ok. Just the side dishes alone made coming here worth it. The Yuk gae Jang spicy beef soup was very delicious, I use it as a barometer to determine the level of the chef kind of like you can use plain fried rice to determine the level of a Chinese chef.
1/2026- The potato ban chan is my personal favorite, followed up by the bean sprouts and kim chee.
Bright atmosphere, hardly any of the customers here were speaking English. Strongly recommend this place.“

“Came here on a Tuesday night around 7pm. Probably only 4 other parties and got sat immediately. Older lady serving us came with waters and took our order within 5 minutes or so. After ordering, she came by with silverware, plates, and the apps (bon chon) which was pickled radish and kimchi. We ordered the cold noodles and hot stone bibimbap. About $20 per entree and came out to $46 after tip and tax for just 2 people. The perfect amount of food and made just right. Would definitely recommend if you love a local Korean spot that isn’t too crowded.“

“Our family has known Peni, Sherry,there kids and grandkids for over 12 yrs now. Once I saw and smelled the bbq over 12 yrs ago I gravitated towards it and have been a huge fan since. Their island q is the best on the mainland and I recommend trying it all since I don’t have a favorite. You can see the passion and love that this family puts towards sharing a little bit of their heritage through their food with all of us. I highly recommend giving it a try and definitely passing the word to others. Spend some time and say hi and you might also have friends for life. Mahalo 🤙“
