The best part was how awesome the staff was with my son. He wanted a mango and peach smoothie which wasn’t on the menu, and they went out of their way to help us customize it into something he would actually like and he loved it.

“Their meats are smoked and not sauced unless specified, but they offer a standard and a spicy sauce that you can add, if so desired. We had a brisket sandwich and a Santa Maria tri-tip salad (yes, a salad at a barbecue joint). They use a bun with their sandwiches that's both firm and tender at the same time, and I find It ideal for bbq sandwiches. The things we had here were all pretty good, but I'm only giving this place four stars for now, until I try other things out. When that happens, I'll make any adjustments that are required. “Our family has known Peni, Sherry,there kids and grandkids for over 12 yrs now. Once I saw and smelled the bbq over 12 yrs ago I gravitated towards it and have been a huge fan since. Their island q is the best on the mainland and I recommend trying it all since I don’t have a favorite. You can see the passion and love that this family puts towards sharing a little bit of their heritage through their food with all of us. “Great local bbq/deli/meat market. You can get any type of meat from raw brisket, their famous marinated ball tip, I've even seen gator for sale here before. They also have packages that are great if you're going camping that will contain eggs and other protein so you can pay one price and head out. They make one of the best breakfast sandwiches around. Not into meat? They also have salad options and seasoned fries in various flavors. The staff is very friendly as well as knowledgeable and will gladly assist you with any questions.“

The owner was working hard with the rest of his employees and was the one to take my order. He seemed very nice and was helpful. “First visit, weeknight, not crowded. Food very good to excellent. Beet trio appetizer superb. Not clear if the 3 dipping sauces were for beets or brisket but good either way. Fiancee had wagyu burger, excellent. I had the combo plate…brisket a tad dry, fried chicken very good, corn bread muffin & cole slaw great. Extensive wine list, top labels. We shared a flight and each had a glass of bubbly. Portion size good … I had leftovers for breakfast. Server Jeff casual but on the ball with advice. Menu somewhat limited, especially for vegans.“

Pulled pork was so juicy and tender - well flavored. Pork ribs with perfect sweet tang. Crispy sweet potato fries cooked to perfection and the BEST soft cornbread. I will be coming back…“

“I only got 8 ban chan, that's still ok. Just the side dishes alone made coming here worth it. The Yuk gae Jang spicy beef soup was very delicious, I use it as a barometer to determine the level of the chef kind of like you can use plain fried rice to determine the level of a Chinese chef.

1/2026- The potato ban chan is my personal favorite, followed up by the bean sprouts and kim chee.

Bright atmosphere, hardly any of the customers here were speaking English. Strongly recommend this place.“

“I visited this restaurant twice. It was so good I went back for seconds, lol. However, the second time I ordered a meat meal. The bbq Hawaiin chicken was so good both times, but the chicken Katsu lacked seasoning but was crunchy and hot. I loved the macaroni salad! I will still eat here, but I will order the bbq chicken
