“Quick ride up to Danville on a Sunday and randomly stopped in here without knowing anything about the place. Walked in on a whim and was honestly surprised by how good it was. I got the BBQ chicken pizza and it was seriously solid. Definitely a great random find.”

The bakery is small but the pastries are mighty.

According to my better half, the plain croissant was “light, buttery, flaky… it was everything I could have hoped for, and more”. And judging by the dusting of flakes on her shirt, I know she’s telling it like it is.

And then there’s the almond croissant. Bliss in bakery form. The almond filling spans the croissant end to end, not too much, not too little. A perfect portion in every bite.

Now quit reading and go get yourself a pastry.”

“We just celebrated our anniversary at Tides this evening and had a fantastic experience. Five stars in every respect. Super casual, chill vibe outdoors. Comfortable couches (reserve ahead of time) nice music - not too loud and very attentive staff. We were greeted with a few things that made us feel special…a card and simple flowers on the table. Just got better from there. Killer cocktails (we got the Kentucky Summer and Mai Tides) followed by a phenomenal meal. We ordered the Brussels Sprouts, Chilean Sea Bass and Blackened Alaskan Halibut. Yes, the fish portions are a tad small as mentioned in other reviews, but add in the brussels sprouts and an amazing dessert (Butter Cake!) and you’ll be just fine ت Also splurged on a decaf Affo-Tini. Our waiter Caleb was particularly attentive and Hector, the Manager checked on us a few times. We felt spoiled and that’s how you want to feel after a splurge meal. Well done Tides!”

“We have been to Diablo Taqueria several times in the last year and a half that we have been in Danville. This is not a fancy restaurant, but has simple, tasty Mexican food. Have had their quesadilla and their Mexican salad in a taco bowl - both consistently good. We are vegetarian - and they always have options for us and are willing to customize as needed. We made a rule for ourselves that we would not visit the same restaurant twice in the first year of being in the area in order to try more places - and we broke that rule for this restaurant - just cause it was a great place for a quick healthy lunch.”

“Had a lovely evening at The Barnyard! Service was the best and our server chose the most delicious wines for my custom wine flight. My friend had the sparkling flight and really enjoyed it. We shared an excellent charcuterie board and buratta. Will definitely return.”

The staff is knowledgeable about food allergies and cross contamination. We will be adding this restaurant to the small list of places that are allergy friendly in the bay area.”

“We got there in time for Happy Hour. The service was outstanding. Our server named Lumbi was attentive, super nice and took care of my family (plus our dog) so well. She brought out our food quickly, drinks refills quickly and our food came out flawlessly.

The prices compared to Irvine (where we are from) is very affordable!! The fish was fresh and the avocado roll was to die for. Not traditional sushi, it’s quite westernized so if that’s your style you’ll be happy. Solid locals spot!”

There is some significant and regular thumping noise coming from the gym above the restaurant lol, but as soon as the food comes you don't notice anything other than how good it tastes! “Been coming here almost regularly once a week for the last 4.5 years or so. Probably now one of my most favorite Japanese restaurants.
They have an extensive menu but on top of that, the portions are big. Like the price may be a bit high but with the amount of food they give you, it makes sense. My favorite roll has to be their Lion King roll. Outside of that the Saba Shioyaki has to be one of my favorites.
It's so good. Their gyoza is also really good.

Also, their service is amazing. The waitresses and waiters are all super nice and incredible. Please be patient when things get busy but on the off hours, they're super friendly.
The inside ambiance is your average restaurant. Not too loud, not too quiet. However, fair warning if you're seated outside, passing vehicles and motorcyclists may get really loud. I just tend to prefer sitting inside.
But definitely check out this place, I love it.”

“Just had a GREAT experience at Melo’s today! We had a large group (24+) where we pre-ordered pizza and salads. They set us up in an area perfect for our group. Our food was set up on one table…buffet style…and we had plenty of tables to sit and eat. Highly recommend Melo’s pizza and pasta in Danville!”

Our favorites are Egg Rolls, Won Ton Soup, Sweet and Sour Pork, Broccoli Beef, Cashew Nut Chicken, Mu Shu Chicken, And Combination Chow Mein. The portions are large; we usually take some food home. Service is excellent. The restaurant is very clean and bright.

They were so kind and welcoming when they really didn’t have to be. They let us use their WiFi and brought us water and snacks while we worked! It was really amazing! I will bringing my husband back ASAP for food and drinks (first time here). You really don’t find humans like this these days. They’ve have a loyal patron in me!!”
