“This hidden gem in Danville is tucked away on a downtown side street, Rose Avenue in a tastefully restored cozy home. Four of us visited recently and had the most delicious meals and innovative, yummy cocktails.
Angi, the owner, and her crew made us feel like we were guests in her home while she helped us choose from new and standard Thai dishes. She even had the chef alter ingredients in several of the dishes to accommodate food allergies.
We know we’ll be returning many times to enjoy this special, hidden gem in the valley!

“First time coming here for date night and we are sure to come back! We ordered the burgers and truffle fries which were cooked to perfection, but the highlight of dinner were the amazing beer options. We had the beer with guava and pineapple flavors (I'll update comments when I know the beer name) but daaayammm it was yummy! Aside from the food, shout to Tina (one of the managers ) for a welcoming service and being so knowledgeable about the beer menu. Thank you!”

“We ordered a cake and cookies for our wedding and they turned out absolutely fantastic. We ordered Road to Hana and the Sea salt caramel white chocolate pretzel cookies. These were some of the best cookies we have ever had and all of our guests at the wedding agreed as well. The bakery staff was very kind and knowledgeable. They checked in multiple times to make sure they got our order perfect.”

I highly recommend the gyros, salmon plate, shrimp, dolmas, tzatziki, and rice pilaf. Everything is cooked to perfection, and the grilled Mediterranean flavor they achieve is simply fantastic. “I have only been here twice during the day but, so far but each time the food was absolutely the best I have had in Danville. The ingredients are imaginative and exceptionally tasty. What I also appreciate is that the chef’s menu changes which makes it exciting. The exterior is not much and could be improved, but that may keep the crowds away for a while which makes it easier for me to look forward to bringing friends and enjoying a charming meal!!!!”

“A pleasant and thoroughly enjoyable experience was had by our party of four. The food was expertly prepared and the presentation was first rate. We especially enjoyed the Tiradito of Albacore, the Spicy Hamachi and the Danville and Salmonholic rolls! The Mango Cheesecake with Green Tea ice cream was a great finish. Our waiter Nick was superb and helped ensure everything went smoothly. We'll definitely return for an encore!”

Wings and salads are super yummy too. Will be excited once they are able to serve beer it will be fun to stay in and eat there. We’ve only ordered to go at this point.”

“Hidden away is this really eclectic restaurant, some fabulous thai dishes, gourmet smash burgers, coq au van, beef tenderloin, pistachio crusted salmon, fancy Mac and cheese trios and excellent desserts. The cocktail menu is incredible and very unique. They take pride in their food for sure, and it was refreshing to go to a restaurant and not be bored with the same offerings. Too many options to choose from is not a complaint! Very friendly staff and reasonably priced. We will be back for sure.”

“After months of searching over-priced caterers we decided to look into more affordable buffet style food options for our wedding guests. Ultimately we chose Hazy Barbecue for the following reasons:

1) An impressive first tasting at their Danville location, which happened to coincide with St. Patrick's day weekend rush. Not only was the food excellent, but the we also saw how they effortlessly handled operations under pressure.

2) Outstanding communication! Big shout out to the catering manager Kelly who graciously helped us throughout the entire process start to finish. Her responses via email or phone were always prompt and super informative.

3) They went above and beyond to help us customize our menu to accommodate our guests: dietary restrictions, modifications. They even provided a custom cutting cake + sheet cake for guests. Dolly's carrot cake was as good as any other fancy bakery cakes we tasted from other vendors.

4) From a business operations perspective, Hazy Barbecue has their sh*@ together! Most other vendors are stuck in the past with antiquated payment systems, paper contracts and disjointed customer experiences. NOT Hazy. They have a seamless customer portal where you can find any info regarding your order i.e. contracts, meeting notes, payments, etc.

We planned our entire wedding and worked with at least a dozen different vendors. Hazy was by far the BEST! Could not recommend them enough.”

“Food was amazing - reminder the portions are family sized for sharing. One $3 side of white rice is enough for two people. The sesame chicken was indeed the best I’ve ever had. The potstickers with peanut sauce were also delicious. We sat outdoors, the fall weather was perfect.

The service is what it is - they’re trying to accommodate demand and turn tables as fast as they can. While we were in no way rushed, refills or getting staffs attention is almost impossible.”

“Great food and service! We ate inside because it was 100 degrees...again...so we thought we'd brave the "noisy" indoors. Turns out it was only half full on a Sunday at 6:00 p.m. and older people so it was very quiet. We could see how the acoustics were going to make it a very noisy place; hard surfaces everywhere. Our waiter outperformed our needs, as did the bartender, who came over to check on the quality of the Sicilian Etna Rosso wine I was drinking. We loved it, but outdoors looks even better (once the temp dropped!). Note: wine list is expensive and there aren't any "fallback"-priced everyday wines, so be prepared for a little sticker shock.”
