“It is nice to still have a good restaurant here at Blackhawk Plaza.

The service is excellent and quick. The food is good and has ample menu options. The drinks are just ok and some kick.

I am giving this restaurant a chance as this area is hit by closures and low foot traffic. Residents should support their local businesses as it benefits them as well.“

“We got there in time for Happy Hour. The service was outstanding. Our server named Lumbi was attentive, super nice and took care of my family (plus our dog) so well. She brought out our food quickly, drinks refills quickly and our food came out flawlessly.

The prices compared to Irvine (where we are from) is very affordable!! The fish was fresh and the avocado roll was to die for. Not traditional sushi, it’s quite westernized so if that’s your style you’ll be happy. Solid locals spot!“

I stopped by after work to pick up a few different types of pockets, the service was great and the food was fresh and made quickly. I waited no more then ten minutes for them to make my six item order and they brought it out to my car which was also very nice. We will for sure be back for more!“

“Incredible restaurant. Some of the best sushi in the Bay Area! A hidden gem. The restaurant is small, good amount of parking in the back. We really enjoyed:

- Bento boxes, can’t go wrong. Miso is large along with huge serving of tempura

- Sex on the beach sushi roll was our favorite

- Service was fast and attentive, affordable pricing

“We have gone here once or twice each year since they opened and while the quality of the omakase is still high, the overall experience and service has reached a baseline 4 stars. Not sure if this is because the owners are prioritizing other restaurants in the Peninsula or this is just what happens over time.

The last time we went felt like an off day. The previous seating was running over, so many parties weren't seated until 15-30 minutes later. Didn't receive any sort of acknowlement or apology about that. It also seemed like it was only one server managing both the counter seating and tables, but she was doing her best.

Overall still the nicest omakase in this area and would recommend for a special occasion.“

“Great spot for delicious sushi! We were a group of four in the area for business and decided to stop by Toyo Sushi. We were all craving sushi and since this was closet to us we went ahead and gave it a shot. So glad we picked this restaurant with its tasty sushi rolls and geat staff! Our group of friends have been to different sushi spots in different regions and different countries together and as individuals; and we all agree that this sushi spot is definitely amongst the top. Torarenbou Sushi Bistro has absolutely earned a permanent spot on my regular rotation, and I can’t recommend it enough.
Let’s start with the Beef Udon — it was superb. Rich, deeply savory broth, tender beef, and perfectly cooked noodles. The kind of bowl that makes you close your eyes on the first slurp. A must-order even if you’re there for sushi.
Speaking of sushi — the quality here is genuinely impressive. Fresh, clean fish and thoughtfully assembled rolls. My personal favorites are the Salmon Avocado Roll (classic done right — buttery salmon, creamy avocado, perfect ratio every time) and The Gambler, which lives up to its name in the best possible way. Every bite feels like a reward.
And then there’s the wasabi situation. I won’t spoil it entirely, but let’s just say you might think you’re grabbing something else and get a surprise little kick. It’s a fun, cheeky moment that perfectly captures the personality of this place — playful, confident, and clearly having fun with the menu.

“Another last minute dinner at one of the local restaurant in San Ramon. Senri Sushi has that cozy, neighborhood spot vibe that makes you feel like a regular even on your first visit. It’s not flashy, but that’s part of the charm, simple, welcoming, and focused on good food.

We ordered the crispy assorted tempura, which came out light, golden, and not greasy at all. Each piece had a nice crunch without overpowering the ingredients. The highlight, though, was the large sushi boat loaded with a variety of fresh fish. Everything looked beautifully presented and tasted just as good, clean flavors, soft texture, and high-quality cuts.

The soft shell crab was another standout—crispy on the outside, tender inside, and full of flavor. It’s the kind of dish you keep reaching for until it’s gone.

We also tried the crispy salmon. The flavor was there, but it could’ve used a bit more crispiness, as the texture leaned slightly chewy instead of having that satisfying crunch you’d expect.
