“This is one of those whole in the wall. The food is good! Ingredients are fresh. It’s the fresh ginger that did it for me. I’ve ordered take out, dine in multiple times. Just know that if you dine in, they’ll serve the food in paper plates. Which is fine, I guess. So don’t expect an aesthetic look. Not this place. It’s simply a good place to eat. Period.I like that they have Poke and a good selection of sushi.The spicy edamame isn’t very spicy, but it’s yummy! ?We ordered the dragon roll, the Lion king roll, and fried California roll.“
“Went here for my birthday recently. Couldn't get over how good that food was. I think i might've had a dream about it after. This could be one of the best sushi restaurants in the east bay, especially after so many places closed since covid or went under new management. The service was excellent, i loved the traditional decor, but the food. THE FOOD! So fresh and beautiful, perfect smell and color. I'll definitely come back.“
“This place was great and had good food but not enough for five stars tbh. Some of the food items are great and some are okay and need a bit more seasoning. Sometimes it's hard to get the attention of the staff. Some of the items are a bit pricy.“
“Minami has got to be my family's go-to sushi spot, and for multiple reasons. The people here are so kind! They are patient, friendly, and so accommodating. It is clear that they are loved and appreciated by the community and regulars and it just makes the restaurant feel so much more welcoming and inviting. The food is also delicious. I love the fried oysters and their tempura, and every single roll I've tried. There's so many good roll options and the price isn't bad for the bay area. Overall, I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to get sushi :)“
“Yummm and I love their all day HH. I came here on a Tuesday around 5-6pm. It wasn't popping and was kinda dead but I kinda expected that on a Tuesday. We got the two rolls for $20 deal. I got the dragon roll and my partner got the lion king. We also got the agedashi tofu. The food was enjoyable and the price was great. We'll be coming back for their all day HH again.“
“One of my go to local Japanese restaurants. Mainly because of their Godzilla roll. I don't think I've had or seen Godzilla rolls at other Japanese restaurants and the one here is quite good. The sashimi pieces are thick. However, their rolls are on average smaller than many Japanese restaurant I've been to. The service is good. I also really like their decoration.“
“I tried the spicy chicken donburi. It was exceptional. I really liked the taste and the spice was perfect, anything less or more would have ruined it, they nailed it. Comes with miso soup which is good as well. Chicken was fresh and juicy. They did not include the soy sauce in my takeout, which was a disappointment, but don't forget to grab some on your way out.“
“Well balance diet. Lots of vegetables. 1scope of rice and No MSG in the food & soup. Meat is plenty. What else can you expect from a takeout. NO MSG is the BEST you can get these years. Lots of Asian run restaurants are using MSG, intensively.Way to go !!!!!!!!“

The food and atmosphere is totally authentic reminding me of a tiny ´hole in the wall’ eatery I happened to pop into in the 60’s in Kobe, Japan. Service is excellent and extremely courteous. “This place seems more of a take out place, than a dine in place to eat and lounge. Inside is small, and not large but there is still seating. The prices here for sushi are fairly inexpensive compared to other sushi restaurants in the bay area. Service is quick, ambience isn't quite there but that's okay. The sushi tasted delicious and I was happy with the prices!“

“Greeted with amazing service from beginning to end. We brought a little baby and forgot to bring our scissor to cut the food into tiny bits. The kind waiter gave us one to use, and without asking gave us extra napkins, a cup with a straw, and a baby bowl. Is the waiter a parent too? Because he gets it! We appreciate the gesture! Food is delicious too, of course. We went back several times. :)“
