Horribly run restaurant. I am a disabled veteran with a real service dog. Went in and was instantly denied access. When I told the gentleman that this is a service dog. He said,"I don't believe it's a service dog", then asked for proof (this is illegal under the ADA). However I showed him both a certificate(which discloses personal information - why it's illegal to ask for that kind of proof). He then said how do I know if a customer brings a dog. I said, look up the rules...read full review
I have been going here for years. They have some of the best rolls in town. I always get the dragon roll, E14th roll, and the crunchy roll. So very yummy 😋
Best sushi hands down. Talking Nobu level #keepthesecret

Tsuru Sushi Japanese Restaurant offers a diverse menu of sushi and Japanese cuisine. The Karaage, a fried chicken dish, is praised for its perfect crunch. The Badass roll, recommended by a customer, is a highlight. The restaurant also serves the E 14th roll, celebrating its 25 years of being in business.
The sushi has a good rice-to-fish ratio, and the selection of fish, particularly the amaebi (sweet shrimp), is appreciated. The tempura is light and flaky, and the Green Magma roll, with its avocado sauce, is a unique and enjoyable offering. The vegetable tempura roll was a standout. Hamachi ceviche had a lot of great flavor. The sashimi is also fresh.
Customers find the prices to be off-putting, with a 3-item bento box costing over $33 and sashimi platters being out of their range. The chicken teriyaki and vegetables donburi dish is also criticized for being dry and lacking in teriyaki sauce and vegetables.
Overall, Tsuru Sushi Japanese Restaurant provides a decent sushi experience, with some standout menu items, but the high prices and occasional service issues may deter some customers from returning. The inside is cozy with the sushi bar tucked in the corner. The combination dinner of tempura, sashimi, and teriyaki chicken was a great value.
