“Top notch home style Thai food, not sure I need to say more.

It's different enough from what you'd get at a restaurant, and very delicious! We're longtime fans of their pad see ew, pad Thai and (in particular) their khao soi, which they unfortunately run out of sometimes so come early! The staff are very friendly and happy to accommodate pure veg food requests as well.“

The waiter was the worst service i've ever had, he didn't even put in my food order, he didn't even come to give us a check , we had to go back and forth and ask for dessert at the counter. And as we left , he didn't even say thank you.

But I want to say that we had the best busser ever! He filled our waters constantly, he noticed that I wasn't getting my food and checked on me, and he's packed my food up. He actually cared about our family and our food and our experience. So thank you to him, he saved our experience.“

“I enjoyed the grilled salmon simple and well done no flakes or dryness. Chicken satay was ok but hard and chewy .. Tom kha soup with chicken with 0 chilli was easy on the GI and still flavorful. Thanks for not going over the top with spices“

“This palce is a certain of community and history on Bernal Heights. Old friends come in to greetings of hugs and kisses from the staff. New patrons are welcomed in almost equal fashion! “Nothing flashy, just delicious Thai food with good vibe. We really like the pork shoulder (pork jowl). It’s smokey and the sauce is flavorful. Congee is hot and filling. The skillset dish reminds me of a Vietnamese dish that I ate all the time.

We also like that the food is decently priced, and the staff is really friendly. Not sure if our waiter is the owner, but he smiles all the time, very friendly, and even helps us store our cake in their fridge so it will not melt when we enjoy their delicious food. I will come back for sure!“

“On a recent trip to SF I got to experience this Resturant. Cozy intimate and comfortable, we had an awesome meal. Some of the group were Vegan and they were able to accommodate them with ease. “Such great food and people. We were hungry driving around looking for that magical parking spot next to an acceptable eating spot bingo! We found it all at Gai. Unsure of what kinda of cuisine I said take the chance they’ve got a chicken on the sign so it’s actually food. And boy was it good. Delicious. Freshly prepared Asian Thai or Vietnamese food. I got the Original Chicken Rice bowl with side of broccali. My friend got the salad with Tofu. Both great. He sauces are fresh and flavorful. One is quite hot which I love. I recommend it. And as we sat there from 1:30 pm to 2:30, there were multiple to go orders being picked up. I think there were about 5 orders at a time rotating. Fresh Fast Full of Flavor. We hit the jackpot!“

“I travel around the world for work and this Thai restaurant is quite possibly amongst the best I’ve tried. I will return every time I’m in San Francisco. Also, it’s a few blocks out of the way and was not busy on a Saturday at 6pm. Take advantage of excellent food without a wait before everyone finds it!“

“Had such a great time at Regent Thai in San Francisco with a group of girlfriends. It was one of those meals where everything just clicked.

It was a team event so we requested a prix fixe menu and budget control. The restaurant was very responsive and go above and beyond to help us with the arrangements. The menu options was good. “Zabb is a local Thai restaurant in the Excelsior district. It is ran by the sweetest women. My order was a tom ka gai (chicken coconut) soup $15. Complex flavors and it was delicious. You can order it with different levels of spiciness. Good job Zabb Thai. My soup was ready in about five minute.“

“I've been here a couple times, and enjoyed both meals here. The papaya salad, pad Thai, and pad Kee mao have been consistently delicious. The larb was also good, but sooo spicy we almost died (I'd still get it again though).

It looks like the negative reviews have been primarily for delivery, but I'll go ahead and say that the dine-in experience has been quite good. The portions are pretty big as well.“

“Great neighborhood gem, family run spot serving Thai and Laotian dishes that had some unique dishes not commonly seen at a typical Thai spot. The black metal doors were a bit discrete, but it's quite spacious inside. we were a party of 3 for lunch and there was no wait. We ordered 4 dishes and the food came out at a good pace.

Would recommend: Green curry - great flavor, mild but creamy. The Champa Sampler with their Laotian sausages and fried spring rolls (skinny, cut into chunks) and some crunchy fried onion (?) or nuts on a bed of white rice. I preferred dipping their rice noodles on the side better than the rice.
Their fried appetizers were hot and crunchy - like their fresh fried rice balls. They have good flavored soup that warms the soul!

Pork belly stir fry with Chinese Broccoli was a pass - the meat was sliced not cubed and fried too hard to chew through. The greens were a bit too greasy from the meat.
Larp (Laotian salad) was a bit too watery and salty! The fish sauce fully soaked the leafy greens.

We will come back and try Padem derm (yellow curry) and Khao piak (noodle soup dish).“

“Easily one of the top 5 pho bowls I’ve had an I’m Vietnamese. I had a lot of doubts about so many different Asian ethnicities represented as dishes here but from the few we samples (Japanese, viet, Thai), it did not disappoint. Also the craft beer selection is *chefs kiss*

“5 Stars All Day! I order from here on a regular basis. What is this trend of rating restaurants 1 star because of a long wait? This is a SMALL, FAMILY RUN business! Delivery drivers should not be allowed to rate a place 1 star because the wait is too long. I understand this affects their night, but they need to take this up with UberEats, Doordash, etc.

I've ordered soup, noodle soup, noodles, curry and appetizers here and I've always loved everything. I highly recommend takeout here.“
