“This restaurant is out of the fray of crazy Berkeley traffic, in a quaint brick building off the beaten track. Parking was easy and we walked into a warm atmosphere with high ceilings, long tables with comfortable chairs and professional service. “My family loves Bangkok Thai. The yellow pumpkin curry is delicious, as are the salads, pad Thai, pad see-ew, fried rice, spring rolls, and fried banana with coconut ice cream for dessert. “We've only done takeouts from this spot. They have some tables for dine in but it seems most people get takeouts or delivery from here.

The Khao Man Gai (Thai style) favor is good and their soup is one of the best chicken soup I've had. However, they reduced the amount of the chicken recently (compared to when they just opened), and the thickness of the meat is also much thinner(1/4 or 1/3 of an inch at almost at the thickest part). I don't like restaurants that do this and would prefer they increase the price. Otherwise you get the food and realize it's not as filling as it used to be.

Considering it's just rice, sauce and cucumber as the other ingredients, I think the price they charge warrants more chicken meat.

5 stars for the flavor but minus 1 star for the portion size.“

“The Noodle is a fantastic Thai restaurant that brings authentic Thai food to Berkeley. It's small and casual, making it a really great place to bring your friends. It's also delicious and affordable, making the food addictive. My family and I have eaten here many times for all those reasons.

The menu at the Noodle is extensive, so much so that it is hard to pick a favorite. I've been here enough to summarize the following menu highlights. The fried spring rolls, fried calamari, and larb are the best appetizers I've had in this town. The Pad Thai and Pad Se Ew here are fresh-tasting, delicious noodles you've got to try. If you can handle a little spice, then try the Pad Kee Mao as well. If you like fried chicken, the fried rice with fried chicken and the crispy mango chicken are incredible! And I would also recommend a tase of the Massaman Gai curry before you top everything off with the fried ice cream or the sticky sweet rice with mango.

If you haven't tried it yet, I would definitely try it. I know I'll be back for more!“

“While staying across the road at the Mariott, I decided to walk around the shopping center and stumbled upon Tha Siam. I pulled up their website while standing outside, and looked at the "Chef's Suggestions" list. I thought the Grilled Short Rib with Garlic Noodle dish sounded good, so I went for it. Everyone inside was extremely friendly to me and polite while I placed my order and waited for a short while. I like my food spicy, but I forgot to say anything about wanting extra heat while ordering. The gentleman at the register said he could include hot sauces for me, and I thanked him. I got my food to go as I planned to walk back to the hotel to eat, but when I opened it 5 minutes later in my room I was not disappointed. The meal was beautifully put together, and it was delicious. I squeezed the orange over the marinated beef, and I added the extra hot sauces: fantastic! I highly recommend trying Tha Siam if you are in the area.“

“Ordered the vegetable red curry on DoorDash and they did not disappoint. Got it extra spicy and I baked up some shrimps to go with it. Enjoyed it so much I had to go to the restraunt in person and was surprised to see the artwork and functshway was so in line with what a trip to Thailand feels like that I ended up ordering two mojitos while I sat their thinking of the great time I had in Thailand.“

“old skool cool. i've had many a meal here. it's probably responsible for how much i weigh after college.......actually i went here even more after graduating. everything is good. in particular pepper garlic chicken and basil eggplant chicken are two tasty standouts. good pad thai and pad see ew too. thankfully i work a little farther away from campus now, so i can't go here too often....but maybe i'll go again...“
