“I had such an amazing dining experience here! Every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious, and you can really tell that the restaurant puts a lot of care into both the quality of the ingredients and the presentation.

The Strawberry Salad was an unexpected highlight. It was fresh, vibrant, and beautifully balanced. The sweet and refreshing dish that was flavorful.

The Crab Fat Fried Rice was one of the highlights of the meal. It was fragrant, rich, and packed with umami flavor. They served with seafood sauce on the side that make the dish more anthentic flavor.

The homemade Shumai was juicy, tender, and tasted freshly made. Every bite was packed with flavor and had a delicate texture. The sauce is exactly Thai flavor taste.

One dish that completely exceeded my expectations was the Fried Tofu. It was unbelievably crispy on the outside while remaining soft and silky on the inside. It’s easily one of the crispiest fried tofu dishes I’ve ever had.

The service was warm, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit. Combined with the cozy atmosphere and exceptional food, this restaurant truly delivered an unforgettable dining experience.

“Simply Quality! Whenever I see Organic Tofu that's my dish as it's clean and tastes perfect. Of course it also has to be cooked right which the Chef did for sure. I had the green curry with the kombucha pumpkin, two different types of cauliflower, and zucchini that actually had flavor. The owners both were lovely and came to check on me to make sure I was satisfied. Well I am and can't wait to return and try some fried rice or stir fry. Thank You!“

“Had to take my daughter to UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland and we were looking for a good place to have lunch before her appointment. My daughter spotted this restaurant and we are absolutely in love. Clean, comfortable eating area inside and outside. Variety on the menu and best Thai food we’ve eaten in a long time. Amazing flavors and portions are just right. And let’s not forget the Thai tea, best everrr! Seriously highly recommend for lunch and dinner if you are in the Oakland area.“

“I definitely enjoyed the Mango Fried rice dish along with the garlic noodles. Had Thai Iced Tea, which is always a treat. I did call this order in for pick up. When I got there I had to wait a minute, because they were busy but it wasn't long. They gave me an extra Thai iced tea on the house, I didn't need it. The Hainan chicken is super tender and flavorful, never dry, and the rice is really fragrant too. I also love the sauces that come with it. “FoodieLand created a mango sticky rice problem… and I’m not even mad about it. 😭

After shopping in Hercules, BB and I decided to stop by Taste of Laos because I’ve been craving mango sticky rice ever since FoodieLand. I had seen some really positive Yelp reviews, and after this visit, I can confirm the reviews aren’t wrong.

We started with the Prawn Blankets, which are seasoned prawns wrapped in a crispy wonton-style wrapper and served with jeow som, a sweet and tangy Lao chili dipping sauce. There are five to an order, and they were absolutely delicious.

Of course, the main reason I came was for the Mango Sticky Rice. I asked for extra coconut sauce (because we’re not doing things halfway around here 😭), and it came with fresh mango slices, pandan sticky rice, sweet coconut milk, and sesame seeds. Everything was perfectly balanced, sweet, and incredibly satisfying.

The service was exceptional. The ladies working in the dining room were warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind.

I told them I’d be back often because of my newfound mango sticky rice obsession, and I wasn’t kidding. In fact… I may have ordered another one to go. No judgment, please.

We first found out about this restaurant after an incredible lunch at Chai Thai Noodles' hot food concession inside Berkeley Bowl West. The fried tofu in red curry sauce, with a side of brown rice, was one of the best meals I'd ever had ad Berkely Bowl.“

Everyone inside was extremely friendly to me and polite while I placed my order and waited for a short while. I like my food spicy, but I forgot to say anything about wanting extra heat while ordering. The gentleman at the register said he could include hot sauces for me, and I thanked him. I got my food to go as I planned to walk back to the hotel to eat, but when I opened it 5 minutes later in my room I was not disappointed. The meal was beautifully put together, and it was delicious.
