“I got food for takeout! Unfortunately no pictures because I was too excited to eat, haha. Ordered online and food was not quite ready when I arrived to pick up, but the lovely person behind the counter was eager to help me with packing utensils and extras. She asked if I wanted hot sauce and I agreed; came home to find out she had packed not only a container of chili sauce, but also individual containers of chili oil and chili powder! It also turns out I didn't need it; the spice here is real, haha. Not enough to stop me from eating it, but enough to remind me of consequences a day later. As others have noted, the pad see ew (and probably the pad Thai though I have not tried it yet) are sweeter than I am used to. I'm not sure why it gave me vibes of maple syrup.Everything was well packed. I got the khao soi (curry noodle soup) and none of it spilled in transit. I don't know why the restaurant was pretty empty around noon on a Wednesday, but I'm definitely coming back to try more of the menu.“
“The server was very kind and helpful with my dish modifications to make the dishes vegan (no oyster sauce, no fish sauce, no shrimp paste) and suggested using soy sauce instead which was very kind. They also asked me if I could have milk in my Thai tea which I thought was so considerate. When I told them no, I couldn't have milk, they offered to put coconut milk in the Thai tea instead and it was SO DELICIOUS! The fresh rolls were also great. All of the other dishes were very tasty too, we got yellow curry, the stir fried eggplant dish, and the pra ram all modified and they were very good. I really appreciated how thoughtful and helpful this place was to make sure I was eating everything okay for my diet! I would highly recommend this place to anyone else who is vegan or has vegan family members/friends, this place is very accommodating and tastes delicious!“
“We came here for dinner and had a great meal! We ordered the Thai iced tea to drink, the Lao sausages as an appetizer, and the pad see ew with beef, phao larb, and yellow curry with chicken as mains. Everything was good, and the service was excellent! The spice levels here are no joke, so definitely stay below levels 2-3. The owner is super nice, and she even explained the differences between Laotian and Thai cuisine to us!“
“Friendly staff and lovely seating interior. Food was delicious with good wok fire. The sizzling seafood plate was flavorful and went well with jasmine rice. The red duck curry was delicious with sticky rice. Coconut pad Thai was very satisfying and great portion. I saw lots of take out orders getting delivered every several minutes at dinner time. Glad to find out about this restaurant as it stays open till 10 pm. Easy parking in its own lot. I will come back to try other dishes.“
“Cozy, mom&pop style Thai restaurant in downtown Vallejo. Went there for lunch with a couple of friends, its decorated nicely inside, and you can seat yourself if its not busy. Our waiter was friendly and slightly confused by one of my friends commenting on how much he liked the spiderman decoration in the men's restroom; if they had followed the same theme in the women's. He laughed and said no....they thought about Barbie or Hello Kitty...but decided to stay neutral. Getting to our food....I loved what I ordered which was the Thai basil chicken...the sauce was so flavorful, couldve used just a little more steamed rice to mop it up, but tasty none the less. Overall good experience.... Ciao for now“
“Our neighborhood finally has a new gem of a restaurant! Everything about this spot is wonderful. The attention to detail in the decor (cozy fireplace, exposed brick, distressed woodwork, leaf-shaped cushions, gold silverware, plants galore) is transportive. The food is ravishingly fresh and thoughtfully prepared. On two different visits, we shared Market Salads, Chia Bowls, Yogurt Bowls, and Lava Eggs. Tanzie, the owner, is delightful, and you can tell she has a hand in every dish. My 8-year-old, who is a very picky eater, loved the yogurt bowl, eggs, and especially the Thai Beignets! Finally, a brunch I can look forward to, a few steps from my house...“
“Stay true to the authenticity, Larb Thai is a hidden gem in a small strip mall along San Pablo. Their menu has not changed much because they don’t need to. All are very good. I do miss the specials they used to have which were incredibly Thai. Daily menu’s favorite for me are THE rice ball salad, larva, pad de ew, drunken noodle and boat noodle. Khao Soi, of course pad Thai. Although the lemongrass chicken was good too! Service was attentive. Dining area is tastefully decorated. It is my family’s perennial favorite since it was introduced to us by a professional foodie.Vegetarian options: All dishes that can be made to vegetarian are clearly marked.Kid-friendliness: high chairs“
“One of the best Thai meals I've had in a long while. And of all places in Vallejo! The surrounding area is typical of the aging downtown but don't be deterred in trying this place.I cannot rave enough about their garlic pepper calamari, Penang curry and Tom Kha Ga soup. So delicious - all the dishes left your taste buds wanting more but your tummy says no! I loved their garlic rice as well. When I visit this town next, I will definitely have another meal or take it to go back to San Jose.“
“I wish I found this place sooner. The restaurant just opened a couple years ago. Funny cause this isn’t that far from the other Thai resto my boyfriend and I used to go and didn’t know they exist. Anyways I ordered their Tom Yum fried rice that comes with grilled salmon and it was really delicious. For me it was the best Tom yum fried rice I’ve ever had. The fish cakes did not disappoint they were yummy. Their roti according to my boyfriend is the most delicious hetried so far.“
“Ordered lunch to go for three. Quick and courteous service. Excellent curries and pad Thai. A number of vegetarian options. The curried fish is incredible! Will definitely go again!Vegetarian options: A number of vegetarian dishes with vegetarian options on a few dishes, but not with the main curries.“
“Our dining experience at Bangkok Garden last evening was nothing short of delightful. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted by the warm smiles of the staff. They promptly escorted us to our table, where our orders were taken and served with remarkable efficiency. Accompanied by our two young children, who were exceptionally well-catered to, we indulged in a variety of dishes. The grilled chicken satay and the fresh spring rolls were the stars of the evening. It's certain that we will be returning for another memorable meal. Bangkok Garden comes highly recommended!“
“We checked this place out for Oakland's restaurant week. I was absolutely amazing. Every dish was cooked to perfection. The salmon was great, I love crunchy fish skin and they nailed it. We also tried the red curry. I was all delicious. The service was awesome as well. Even though is was the end of the night and they were closing shop, the staff didn't make us feel rushed. I can genuinely say this was some of the best restaurant food I've had in a while. Every dish was bursting with flavor without being over seasoned or too salty.“
“This is our first time at this place. The place has a good number of tables and clean.Servers are very friendly and attentive.Food is great! Especially love the Organic Special I had with brown rice. My partner's dish Khao Soi (beef curry noodles) was also tasty with enough spice to it.Will definitely return again.“
“This place never disappoints! I’ve had their vegetarian Yellow Curry, Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, and Tofu rolls. No matter how many times I order here, the food always hits the spot. It’s super easy to get to. The guy who always rings me up in the front is absolutely wonderful and very personable. If you’re looking for really good Thai food with amazing vegetarian/vegan options, this is the place! Can’t wait to come back next time ?“
“Generous portions of food, packed with flavor! We got these dishes with spring rolls and shared it all1. Sweet chicken on rice - crispy sweet & spicy chicken came with rice, loved it2. Pad Thai3. Duck noodle soupDelicious and packaged very well.“
“We had diner at Thai Lao restaurant this evening with some friends and got a wonderful experience. The restaurant is very cosy and well managed, the food is delicious healthy and the plates well served. People are efficient, dedicated and polite. Special thanks to the boss, a wonderful women, Merci beaucoup et q bientôt!“
“We have been dining at Soi4 since it opened. Most recently we have been ordering takeout which is always good. We stopped in for dinner last night and found they had a fabulous happy hour menu. Extensive list of well balanced cocktails for $10, and small bites for $8. Everything was delicious and service and presentation were stellar. An enjoyable evening was had by all and we will definitely dine in more often!“
“I ordered a chicken pad kea mao (drunken noodles) and it was really good although… they gave me pork instead of chicken. And I didn’t know about that until they came over to the table with the plate that had chicken. Thankfully I am able to eat pork but… be careful if you are not— ask twice to make sure you get the right dish. Otherwise, they were very accommodating to our very large group.“
“This is a modern and casual dining Thai restaurant with affordable price that provides various appetizers, soup, chef's recommended menu, salad, barbecue, noodle, curry, wok, along with alcholic and non alcoholic drinks. We were here to have a dinner with a friend who is a university student here, so that this place is suitable for the students. We tried Panang Nua for $15.95 as one of the chef's re commended menu here. A plate of white rice with the tender beef, Thai chili, coconut milk, peanut sauce, basil, zucchini, green bean, red bell in a thick sweet and savory curry sauce. For the drink, my friend recommended Singha Thai Beer. This was my first time having this Thai beer, and I could say that Singha is good! It's not bitter, but not overly sweet.“
“The food served to me was originally bprderline flavorless, so I had to send it back, which I seldom do. Thankfully, they added more sauce and sent it back out, but it's honestly a little worrying that they looked at my pale pad see ew and thought it was ok to serve. The chicken was also overcooked. :(I tried my friend's chili lemongrass fish and that was really good, so maybe just stray away from the bland pad see ew.On the other hand, while expensive, the drinks were really good. The lychee mojito was my favorite, but I have a lychee bias!Parking: There's parking right out front along University“
“Delicious food and great service. We ordered the Tom Kha soup, pumpkin curry and pad see ew. We were given large portions so nice for leftovers! The service was excellent very friendly and checking in on us periodically. We came before the dinner rush and loved having the space and staff attention.Vegetarian options: Most items you can choose your own protein including veggies or tofu“
“We used to LOVE Giin Thai on Shattuck, and these are the same people! We had the Khao soi, string beans, thom kha chicken and it was all so delicious. So happy to have found this place. Will definitely be coming back. ?Vegetarian options: Khao soi, egg plant, string beans, and moreParking: Their parking lot is small (8-10? spots), but we've always found a spot in it, and there is street parking too.“
“I'm not even kidding when I say the chicken on the BBQ chicken sandwich is the best chicken I've ever had on a sandwich ever. It was so juicy and the sandwich was incredible. I cannot wait to come back. I cannot recommend highly enough!“
“We enjoyed a great lunch. Very fresh food. I enjoyed the daily special which was avocado seafood dish. My colleagues enjoyed lunch specials. Everything here is fresh, service is quick and prices reasonable. This was not my first time here and won't be my last time.Vegetarian options: Many optionsParking: Street parking is available.“
“Does well as delivery. Garlic noodles with extra chicken was tasty, not overwhelming or overly greasy. The extra chicken portion was generous. Egg rolls were crisp snd flavorful. Thai iced tea with oat milk hit the spot, is not overly sweet, and I really appreciate that PraJam has 3 milk options to choose from (Half & Half, Oat, and Coconut). The weakest link was the mango & sticky rice: tasty, good and generous mango, but the rice was not as sticky as I like it. Rice also could have used more sesame seed topping, but it was still yummy. Prices were sometimes a little high (nearly $11 for mango&sticky rice), but not terribly so. Glad this place has opened in my neighborhood.“
“Yes! Yes! Yes!Mouthwatering flavors and beautifully sweetened Thai tea. Every dish I ordered was made to perfection and the flavors were orgasmically on point.I am absolutely coming back to try more dishes.Charming little location with a unique exterior esthetic and they have a private parking lot. Worth a visit!“
“Nice, located of Willow shopping center. Several eateries nearby including a drive in Starbucks. I looked around and decided to go for the Won Thai restaurant, ordered the lunch special, fried catfish with rice, on the plate I got a colorful plate with a scoop of steam rice next to pan fried filet of catfish with plenty of green beans, fresh tomato pieces, sautéed on a lite curry sauce and sliced purple and green cabbage garnish.“
“It's wonderful to have a high quality Thai restaurant in the neighborhood. Thai Delight does a good job with the menu, and the ambience is great. Casual but very clean, quiet, and comfy. The new owners have transformed one wall into a charming mural that defies description. Service is at times uneven but mostly warm and attentive. It's become our go-to spot.“
“Bangkok Thai Cuisine: A Delicious Trip to ThailandI recently had a fantastic meal at Bangkok Thai Cuisine, and it was a delightful trip to Thailand without leaving town! The Pad Thai was a real standout. It wasn't just delicious, it was perfectly balanced. The sweet, savory, and just a hint of spice all played together beautifully. Every bite was a flavor party in my mouth! The veggie rolls were another winner. They were incredibly fresh and packed with flavor. The crispy lettuce gave way to a delightful filling making for a satisfying and light starter.Overall, Bangkok Thai Cuisine impressed me. The food was fresh, flavorful, and authentic-tasting. While I can't speak to the entire menu, both the Pad Thai and veggie rolls were fantastic. If you're looking for a delicious and affordable Thai dining experience, I highly recommend giving them a try!“
“I walked into a nice restaurant decorated in with Thai art, classy cocktail music, and a smiling white with a ponytail. He asked me what I wanted for a drink, so I asked for my favorite drink, Thai ice coffee. The delicious iced coffee came very quickly in a canning jar with handles. My order of three lunch specials was cooked and served very quickly. For most people, ordering one lunch special is enough, but I wanted to try their food in a big way. Only then can you experience the chef's cuisine. Also, I'm babysitting a cat here in Orinda for nine days, so I haven't wanted to cook if i can order enough to eat delicious leftovers. What a pleasant surprise, the food, atmosphere, and the three dishes, were quite fresh and delicious. The Pad Thai, which I ordered with chicken, was very nice, I had delicately seasoned noodles, shredded carrots, shredded cabbage, green onions, fried tofu, fried eggs, bean sprouts, and finely chopped peanuts. For an extra $2, you can get the egg roll and salad, but I already had those with the two other lunch specials. The #6 Peanut Prawns, which were deep fried in a light batter, came with peanut curry sauce over a bed of spinach in a bowl, served with slices of orange, a crunchy Noodle salad, rice and a fried vegetarian Thai egg roll. Delicious! The prawns were a decent size, and quite tasty. My last dish was #12, Garlic Pepper Calamari, with onions, zucchini, mushrooms, green onions, fried noodles, were served with the sliced oranges, plus a noodles salad with carrots, cucumber, red cabbage, and shredded iceberg lettuce, deep fried noodles, were crunchy and fresh with a light dressing. Overall, the food was quite superb, my mom lived in Bangkok for fourteen years, so I know how to appreciate Thai food. I will definitely come here again if I'm visiting the area again.“
“This place has definitely improved over the years! The cook(s) are very good. The service is awesome. Best Thai restaurant in west Contra Costa county and Pinole!I recommend the masamman beef, the green curry, pumpkin curry, angel wings, and their fresh spring rolls are the best I’ve had anywhere.I highly recommend you give this place a visit if you enjoy Thai food“
“Ample veggie options. Quick service, good food. We didn't have to wait for seating. Ordered and got the food within ten minutes. The servers were nice and friendly, they were able to suggest alternatives for dietary restrictions. I'd like to go again and try some other items on the menu.Vegetarian options: You can ask the server and they will suggest alternatives for your dietary restrictions, including veggie options.“
“We had the pleasure of working with Tumi & Thai Rice Spoon as the food caterer for our wedding in August and they exceeded our expectations in every way possible.Tumi was so flexible and was willing to accommodate our specific requests. She worked closely with us to create a customized menu that perfectly reflected our preferences and the overall theme of our wedding. The staff was attentive and professional, ensuring that the dining experience was seamless for both us and our guests. On the day of our event, the food was displayed beautifully and the quality was excellent. Our guests are still raving about it. The staff was so kind enough to make us our own plates and kept us fed throughout the evening. We would highly recommend Tumi & Thai Rice Spoon to any couple looking for a caterer that goes above and beyond to create a memorable dining experience. We are forever grateful!!“
“To go only, but so good for a student meal! I am thankful for this place. Really appreciate the kindness of the owners. She does not speak English well but the warmth in her presence and the food speaks for itself. Recommend getting the Pad Thai!!“
“On my way home from church, I searched Yelp for Thai restaurants in the area. Yelp gps took me to this place and I'm glad to have found it. I was pleasantly surprised they offer lunch special on weekends - it was the best choice for me as I was dining alone. I got the lunch special plate of grilled chicken with peanut sauce over brown rice, veggies and salad. Such a generous delicious serving. I would have preferred the peanut sauce served on the side but I failed to ask. The tangy & sweet salad compliments the chicken with peanut sauce very well. Their Thai iced tea wasn't too sweet which is perfect. I got the fried banana with coconut ice cream for dessert. Bananas rolled in brown sugar served with a bit of honey. So crunchy! Perfect dessert for me as I love fried bananas! Ice cream was so creamy. Take note coconut ice cream doesn't have a strong taste, it's a bit bland if you're used to American ice cream. Serving is good for 2 or 3 people. The place is divided into two sections. It's nice and clean inside. Service is prompt and friendly. Very warm Asian ladies providing service with a smile. I'll be back!“
“I don't understand the low rating. This place is such a fund that I've already been here twice within one week of moving to Berkeley! Everything is delicious, and the service is excellent. I do wonder why some people don't like it.“
“a Favorite place to go. Food is Delicious, and the personnel are always very friendly. I recommend the Spicy Stir-fry Cashew Seafood. Another satisfied lunch, I would eat at this time everyday if i could., i brobably could, its very affortable.“
“This is my go to place in the neighborhood for good Thai food - it's fast, affordable, and delicious! The staff are super sweet and make sure you get exactly what you want. We've eaten here countless times, both in person and carry out - pictured is pad Thai and suki yaki soup, but our other favorites include Panang curry, avocado salad, Tom kha soup, and chicken satay. They also have great Thai tea that's not overly sweet. I'm honestly surprised by the negative reviews. I think some folks might not like it because it's not super Americanized versions of dishes and the interior is not the most glamorous. Don't let that dissuade you, this place and it's owners are great!!“
“Pearl Thai in Benicia is like a culinary journey to Thailand with its flavorful main dishes that can satisfy that Thai food craving. The cozy atmosphere wraps you in a warm, mom-and-pop embrace, making it feel like a home away from home. However, when they are busy, it seems like they may need just an extra hand. Now, let's talk about the Tom Yum soup—it's the Thai food litmus test, right? This one had me doing a culinary double-take. It felt like it was playing hide-and-seek with tomatoes, and the spice level was on a mild vacation. I'm all for a flavor adventure, but this soup needed a bit more Thai kick to dance on my taste buds. But hey, the angel wings, the seafood plate, and the shrimp pad Thai? And other dishes were good. They were like a Thai food orchestra hitting all the right notes. So, despite the Tom Yum detour, Pearl Thai knows how to deliver a tasty symphony on your plate.“
“Enjoyed a fantastic meal for the price! ? Opted for the red curry special on the lunch menu—unique presentation over a bed of rice. Personally, I'd prefer the curry separate from the rice because serving it on top of the rice makes it so that the rice absorbs the sauce. Pad see ew was tasty, but a bit more noodle would've been perfect. When the check came, the waitress gave me a beautifully presented dessert ? which was tasty. Two dishes for less than $20! It was a great deal and a delicious lunch.Loved the second-story setting with a street view. It was chilly inside on a cold day, but overall, a satisfying experience.“
“Seating was easy atmosphere was good food was delicious and hot. We had shrimp rolls, egg rolls, seafood udon noodle soup and seafood and pork udon noodle soup with green tea. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.Parking: Had to park on University and walk back“
“Very nice and welcoming staff!Ordered takeout on a slow night and felt very calm while waiting for my food.I had the pad see ew with pork and the spicy basil with chicken. Good amount of spice for me with an average spice tolerance palette. Lasted me two meals!“
“The Noodle,Thai Restaurant Thai cuisine restaurant??Vegan meals and children’s menu are also available.A six-minute walk from the Residence Inn by Marriott Berkeley, you can find Thai cuisine The Noodle, Thai Restaurant.I don’t know why 484 was so hungry, but every dish was delicious?I was especially moved by the delicious and mellow hot beef soup Green papaya salad is crispy, sweet and refreshing?Fried squid~ The crispy fried and salty aroma reminds me of Taiwanese snacks and delicacies? The older one is too hungry. Order two main meals and eat them all? It’s really a food paradise near the school? There are all kinds of food? The service staff are friendly and the food is served quickly. The tables are very close to each other and the chairs are easy to touch the chairs of the next table. Fortunately, we have two dining tables combined and we can fit a lot of dishes.Dietary restrictions: Special vegetarian and children's menus availableKid-friendliness: There are children's chairs and children's menus“
“Oh, my, god...I still can't get over how good this place was!! This has got to be the best Thai Brunch I've had and there wasn't a single dish that we didn't like! Did I mention, they have bottomless mimosas for $22 and you can try different flavors with each new refill I highly recommend bookmarking this place for your next brunch!* Curry Puff* Thai Tea Pancakes* Stuffed French Toast* Spiced Maple Chicken & Waffle* Mama Pad Kee Mao* Kaeng Karee Gai Tod* Plumlicious Bacon* Bottomless Mimosas* Bloody Mary“
“First time diners. Loved the food, ambience and attitude. Was take-out but we wished we could have dined in. Such a sweet environment! We had the chicken pad Thai, pumpkin curry with pork and corn fritters. The fritters got soggy by the time we got them home but we fixed them in the toaster oven. We WILL be back!“
“Honestly I haven't had enough dishes to give stars, just yellow curry and larb (good) and egg rolls (okay). But yes they are back, currently only for online/pickup. I'm not sure they're equipped for walking up and ordering to go; no menus or payment system in sight. It's true that the bags don't come with napkins or utensils. Also had the lunch pad grapaw with vegetables, good and decently spicy.“
“Good food and ambience. Service was a bit slow, we had to wait a while to even order drinks. By the time they came to take our drink orders, we ordered everything just in case service would continue to be slow. Food came out quickly though. We went for dinner and the place wasn't very full.“
“The menu is relatively limited. I don't eat pork so that cut out a large number of things (usually not a problem for me in Thai restaurants). Pad Thai was great but my fave was the crispy rice salad. The ladies who run the place and serve are THE BOMB. They'll do whatever they can to make you smile and I loved them!!! Definitely recommend giving it a try.“
“Chai Tai Noodles in Berkeley, CA, exceeded my expectations with a dining experience that was nothing short of exceptional. The culinary journey began with the Larb, a dish bursting with freshness and a delightful blend of flavors. The aromatic and flavorful Yellow Curry left a lasting impression, showcasing the chef's expertise in crafting rich and nuanced Thai dishes. The Pad Thai at Chai Tai is a true standout, offering the perfect balance of spiciness and a medley of tastes that danced on my taste buds. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, highlighting the authenticity and quality of the ingredients. To top it off, the lunch deal at Chai Tai is an absolute win. Not only does it offer a diverse selection of delectable dishes, but it also provides excellent value for the culinary journey you embark on.The attentive service and inviting ambiance added to the overall positive experience, making Chai Tai a standout Thai restaurant in Berkeley. If you appreciate fresh, flavorful, and well-crafted Thai cuisine, Chai Tai is a must-visit. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to savor more of their delicious offerings.“
“I have had plenty of Thai/Laos food, with some favorites. Therefore, I believe my experiences meet the requirements to post a review. Without any biases, Sue's Kitchen is AMAZING!!! If I had a microphone, yes it would have been dropped. A must try, the Onion Rings and Calamari (yes it's fried, what did you think?). Any time I go to a 'new-to-me' Thai restaurant, I get the Pad Thai and Spicy Basile Chicken. Great dishes to use as a measuring rod. In my loud voice, "OUTSTANDING" !!! This is just the beginning of my journey through Sue's menu. Hope to see you along the way!!!“
