“One of the best Thai meals I've had in a long while. And of all places in Vallejo! The surrounding area is typical of the aging downtown but don't be deterred in trying this place.I cannot rave enough about their garlic pepper calamari, Penang curry and Tom Kha Ga soup. So delicious - all the dishes left your taste buds wanting more but your tummy says no! I loved their garlic rice as well.When I visit this town next, I will definitely have another meal or take it to go back to San Jose.“
“DELICIOUS!! i can't say which was best, the food or service. My friend and i had plans to eat at a restaurant across the street from Bangkok, but the wait was too long and thank goodness because we would have missed this little jewel. I purchased my favorites from the menu and everything was delicious. The savory flavors, crispy chicken, and sweet peach saki was the best meal I purchased all week. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. I will definitely be visiting there again next time i'm in town.“
“Having read some negative reviews of this restaurant recently we just wanted to check for ourselves. PreCovid it had been great . It is still good. We had tempura shrimp, Pad See U and yellow chicken curry. The wide noodles were tasty and the chicken a little spicier than you usually get for this dish but it was great. I would not hesitate to return.“
“Service was awesome the owner/ cooks were super sweet . Everything was cooked within 15 mins . The parking was full because this is for the casino so that's understandable but you'll find a few parking in the back. You might think the price is high but if you know how much work goes in making Thai or Laos food . It takes a lot of work. I ordered the papaya salad ( medium ) the flavor was exactly what i expected . It wasn't too spicy . It's great how they threw in the vermicelli noodles and cabbage . Very traditional. The amount of Sticky rice we received was good . You can tell it was made fresh and not microwaved from the freezer. The pork ribs were cooked to perfection and not too salty or oily. They give u a good amount. The fried chicken was good as well . Flavor was good. The sauce that came with the chicken and ribs was good and wasn't too spicy . I ordered a chicken bahn mi but I didn't taste it . The hubby said it was good , came with lots of fresh veggies . Definitely give this place a try ! It's good if u haven't had traditional Laos / Thai food not sold at the restaurant.“
“I have had plenty of Thai/Laos food, with some favorites. Therefore, I believe my experiences meet the requirements to post a review. Without any biases, Sue's Kitchen is AMAZING!!! If I had a microphone, yes it would have been dropped. A must try, the Onion Rings and Calamari (yes it's fried, what did you think?). Any time I go to a 'new-to-me' Thai restaurant, I get the Pad Thai and Spicy Basile Chicken. Great dishes to use as a measuring rod. In my loud voice, "OUTSTANDING" !!! “This is my go-to for Thai. Regardless of what youre looking for the flavors here are near perfect. The restaurant is clean and the service is always great, fast and friendly. The selections on the menu are wide and everything is fresh and adequately seasoned. If you like your food on the spicy side dont forget to ask for their spice caddy to bring all the flavors together for the full experience. Recommended dishes would of course start with their shrimp fresh rolls, the lemongrass or ginger chicken, any of their curries, the pad eggplant if youre trying to be good and definitely try the duck or the crispy trout if youre not. Would I return? Any chance i get.“
“This place never disappoints! I’ve had their vegetarian Yellow Curry, Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, and Tofu rolls. No matter how many times I order here, the food always hits the spot. It’s super easy to get to. The guy who always rings me up in the front is absolutely wonderful and very personable. “We had diner at Thai Lao restaurant this evening with some friends and got a wonderful experience. The restaurant is very cosy and well managed, the food is delicious healthy and the plates well served. People are efficient, dedicated and polite. “Really nice servers in a clean little restaurant. I had the red curry with pork and a side of white rice. Now that's not on the menu, but I know what's up! Spicy level was up there, but not extreme. I will absolutely return. And I'll take some pics next time!“
“Cozy, mom&pop style Thai restaurant in downtown Vallejo. Went there for lunch with a couple of friends, its decorated nicely inside, and you can seat yourself if its not busy. Our waiter was friendly and slightly confused by one of my friends commenting on how much he liked the spiderman decoration in the men's restroom; if they had followed the same theme in the women's. He laughed and said no....they thought about Barbie or Hello Kitty...but decided to stay neutral. Getting to our food....I loved what I ordered which was the Thai basil chicken...the sauce was so flavorful, couldve used just a little more steamed rice to mop it up, but tasty none the less. Overall good experience.... Ciao for now“
