Had to take my daughter to UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland and we were looking for a good place to have lunch before her appointment. My daughter spotted this restaurant and we are absolutely in love. Clean, comfortable eating area inside and outside. Variety on the menu and best Thai food we’ve eaten in a long time. I ran into this place during Covid and got hooked since. The food is exceptional, I don’t think I have tried anything I didn’t like here. The service also always friendly and attentive. My go-tos are Gai Gra Pao and Drunken Noodles. If you feel adventurous, the chicken heart skewers are delicious. If you can’t tolerate spicy, make sure to make it very clear.
This is a delicious Thai family owned spot in the Temescal. The food is Issan from Northwestern Thailand. Their specialty is larb - a delicious sort of ground meat (or mushroom & tofu) dish eaten with lettuce wraps and dipping sauce. We’ve also enjoyed the drunken noodles with ground chicken. They have a cool box set for $23 which is enough for two for lunch! It includes larb, choice of protein and green beans. And they have lots of curries!
