“10/10 no notes, jk. It can feel small and cramped for a bit once you enter, but once u settle in, it’s comforting and an enjoyable place to dine.

Got the pad see ew, yellow curry, and crispy pork fried rice. Pad see ew 10/10 no notes, yellow curry an 8, the fried rice is a 9.5.

100/10 would come again. Reasonably priced, monies worth and bellies full. 🤭😋😋“

Had we known that the pad kee mao didn't come with tofu we would have asked for it, so next time we will, but that's nitpicking. Very fast service, noticeably so. Location great for those in San Mateo or Foster City (and this restaurant is much better in my mind than Sweet Basil, I'm sorry). The pad kee mao dish was huge and we had to take home half of each plate (we got two, next time one will be enough, but we took it home and plan to enjoy later)“

“Relaxing and modern ambiance to the restaurant. Super friendly service for an enjoyable experience. Hidden gem outside the hustles of the downtown area of San Mateo. The dishes were fresh and well presented. Ordered the Tom Yun Shrimp noodles and Keema Curry Rice. Nice Japanese infusion of flavors and techniques on South East Asian regional dishes. Can get pretty busy during lunch rush. We got there at 1:45pm and beat the rush.“

“Top notch home style Thai food, not sure I need to say more.

It's different enough from what you'd get at a restaurant, and very delicious! We're longtime fans of their pad see ew, pad Thai and (in particular) their khao soi, which they unfortunately run out of sometimes so come early! The staff are very friendly and happy to accommodate pure veg food requests as well.“

It was a team event so we requested a prix fixe menu and budget control. The restaurant was very responsive and go above and beyond to help us with the arrangements. The menu options was good. “I didn’t know they open for breakfast. I had sunnyside up eggs, fresh salad and Croissant. And I ordered DoorDash for dinner the other day. My favorite is coconut soup with a tofu. I went there with my sister again today. The owner was very friendly. I love her always smiling. The curry potato puff was so yummy. I will definitely go back to try some other stuff.“

“My Thai husband said the food here reminds him of his childhood 🥰. The flavors are great and the menu is far more interesting than your average Thai restaurant. To top it off, the ambiance in the dining area is really cozy and the service was great - I was really impressed at the one person who was host / waiter / expediter all in one. We recently ordered the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew, and both arrived piping hot and incredibly fresh. The Pad Thai had the perfect balance of flavor — not overly sweet, great texture, and generous portions. The Pad See Ew was smoky, savory, and full of flavor with perfectly cooked noodles.

It’s impressive how well everything travels — still hot, fresh, and thoughtfully packed. You can tell they care about quality, even for delivery orders.“
