“I've been here a couple times, and enjoyed both meals here. The papaya salad, pad Thai, and pad Kee mao have been consistently delicious. The larb was also good, but sooo spicy we almost died (I'd still get it again though).

It looks like the negative reviews have been primarily for delivery, but I'll go ahead and say that the dine-in experience has been quite good. The portions are pretty big as well.“

The waiter was the worst service i've ever had, he didn't even put in my food order, he didn't even come to give us a check , we had to go back and forth and ask for dessert at the counter. And as we left , he didn't even say thank you.

But I want to say that we had the best busser ever! He filled our waters constantly, he noticed that I wasn't getting my food and checked on me, and he's packed my food up. He actually cared about our family and our food and our experience. So thank you to him, he saved our experience.“

“I really think the food here could be so much better. The ingredients were fresh and the presentation lovely. However, everything we ordered had loads of sugar in it, including the papaya salad which is supposed to be citrusy. The prawns in it were cooked to perfection. Pra Ram and Pad Se Ew were exceptionally sweet. The chicken in it was tender, good quality, and the noodles were good quality, too. All the sugar added to the dishes, in my opinion, ruined them and there was a lot. I missed the savoriness of Thai Food. Unfortunately, this is a dealbreaker for me and won’t be back. We also waited a bit too long for someone to come take our order, even though there were only 2 parties seated. Please don’t use sugar in your food!“

“The mango sticky rice is different this time around but I came around to it. The restaurant is warm and homely, I would give it 5 stars but I really don't trust the old chairs, at my height and weight. I ordered online and picked it up myself. I was greeted respectfully and there was space to wait, although I didn't have to wait more than a few minutes. When you order online, it doesn't give just a vegetable option, when it comes to the curry. So I'm very grateful that they read my note for no tofu and only vegetables. The food was really good and decently priced. I loved the slight spice and the aromatics that marinated into the veggies. It was so warm and delightful.“

“Lovely dinner at Prik Hom. Scallop & lemongrass appetizer & dessert (coconut pancakes & coconut ice cream) were by far my favorites. Mushroom curry soup was light and subtle. Seafood curry was rich & tasty, but did not love the texture of the stir fried shrimp. They were out of a few things like white rice and coconut water. Quiet atmosphere conducive to casual catchup with friends. Like another reviewer said, def worth trying at least once!“

“The place is very quaint but clean. It gets crowded during lunch so book ahead. I brought my friend here and she loves the food.

We both got seafood lunch set. Ingredients are clean, not greasy not oily. It feels healthy. Everything is well seasoned and not too salty. I have sensitive stomach and this feels very light. But still very filling.

For the amount of food at $40 I’ll come back“

“I'm speechless. How can the line be so long? And how can the food be so good? We got in the line (to join the waitlist) right before they opened (4PM) on Saturday, and got seated around 6. It has a nice homey vibe; the food has strong and sophisticated flavors made with high-quality ingredients. Best Thai food I've ever had in North America!“

“This place was so busy! Every table filled! People on a list waiting. More outside! Multiple big groups. The staff was working so hard! They were fantastic! We ordered over the phone, and immediately understood why it was hard to hear them! The place has very high ceilings, the sound of happy diners was very loud!

The food was yummy! So yummy! Loved their take on a fresh roll. Pad Se Ew has a nice bit of color from cooking like it should! The catfish deluxe was amazing. Yellow curry with chicken was great too. Good find.“

“Stumbled upon this place randomly and the food didn’t disappoint. It wasn’t busy at all on Friday evening so we were able to easily walk in. Great Thai food with plenty of options as a vegetarian. The green curry was one of the best I had and they made it spicy yet super flavorful. Tom yum soup was great too. The service was very fast and friendly.“

“They were very creative with their menu. Our favorite was the fried shrimp rings. They were perfectly crispy on the outside and bouncy on the inside. Although there was a minor error in our order, they promptly rectified it for us. We truly appreciate their attention to detail and customer service!“

“This palce is a certain of community and history on Bernal Heights. Old friends come in to greetings of hugs and kisses from the staff. New patrons are welcomed in almost equal fashion! Unsure of what kinda of cuisine I said take the chance they’ve got a chicken on the sign so it’s actually food. And boy was it good. Delicious. Freshly prepared Asian Thai or Vietnamese food. I got the Original Chicken Rice bowl with side of broccali. My friend got the salad with Tofu. Both great. He sauces are fresh and flavorful. One is quite hot which I love. I recommend it. And as we sat there from 1:30 pm to 2:30, there were multiple to go orders being picked up. I think there were about 5 orders at a time rotating. Fresh Fast Full of Flavor. We hit the jackpot!“

“Highly recommend if you haven’t been lately to give Pacifica Thai another shot. They seem to have some revamped dishes in their kitchen/chef and oh so much flavor goodness. We dined in as a group of 6 celebrating a birthday and we tried many dishes. As a pescatarian/veggie lover I enjoyed their cucumber salad, pad Thai, eggplant / pad makeur, Penang curry salmon, and mango sticky rice for dessert. Will bring my family next time and start them into our takeout rotation! Highly recommend!“

It's different enough from what you'd get at a restaurant, and very delicious! We're longtime fans of their pad see ew, pad Thai and (in particular) their khao soi, which they unfortunately run out of sometimes so come early! My all-year round favorite dish at the ThaiNery is tasty eggplant tofu over rice $15 (used to be $10) which imhv is a delicious, affordable and “safe bet” ingredients wise. The owners are a middle-aged sliding young couple originally from Thailand and several cooks currently and in the past are Yucatecos who have appreciated how to cook authentic Thai through “combat experience” with an attitude to learn, improve and master. 🫡
Support our backbone mom-and-pop shops as we ordinary citizens can make a difference and leave big shot businesses to the wealthy elite & politicians😉 such as the food court which is a silhouette in of The City’s economy in “reality check” (*not wishful thinking of so-called “rebound”). [Sabes que? “Tanto tienes tanto vales.” The Mid-market is literally dying{Emporium/San Francisco Centre is dead. Period.} so is South Market while Chinatown, Union Square/Downtown, North Beach and many other neighborhood commercial strips such as Richmond (Balboa, Clement, Geary) Mission (16th to 30th), Castro, Haight-Ashbury, Sunset (Irving, Judah {9th & 43rd}, Noriega, Taraval), Bernal/Excelsior (Cortland, Persia, Geneva), Noe Valley, Glen Park, Ocean, Parkside, San Bruno, Paul, West Portal, etc. are merely struggling except Japantown and Stonestown are arguably just returning to normal.] ⚠️Under the circumstances, fasten up your seatbelt & save your💰for rainy day! 👍“

I ordered the yellow curry and my boyfriend got the fried chicken fried rice and he really enjoyed his while I loved mine! The waiter did an excellent job—he actually advised me *not* to order a main course, warning me that the soup portion would be huge, and he was genuinely concerned I wouldn't be able to finish it all!
