Reviews for Nari

This is one of the worst meals I?ve had in San Francisco. The oysters we got came out lukewarm and tasted very bland. We ordered the fermented shrimp dish. To be told it?s adventurous is an understatement, the description really doesn?t give you an idea of what you?re getting. The curries were fine but not exciting. The service was coy vs open about the menu. If I could rate the space itself it would def be 5 stars. I?d say go for drink at the bar upstairs but don?t eat.

Finally a Thai inspired restaurant not using a ton of sugar. Each dish is designed brilliantly on what works with the local California ingredients. We had head cheese and the sauce, the herb, the pickles make the dish. We had fried sweetbread and it was amazing because it's doesn't taste like most (overcooked & tough) sweetbread, it tasted like traditional Chinese sweet & sour pork but the that chili and flavors also come through, amazing! Located next to Hotel Kabuki, and worth a visit if you?re looking for Thai with a twist. Keep in mind that the cuisine is ?Thai-inspired? and therefore, deviates from your traditional Thai fare. Don?t let that be a deterrent, though. Most of the dishes are unique but still packed with those recognizable flavors and spices that we all love. The green mango salad is served with a melody of herbal/floral greens that add a nice balance to the spice and tang of the sauce. The full review
