About Zen Yai Thai Restaurant

Based on recent reviews, Zen Yai Thai Restaurant offers some of the most authentic Thai food in SF, with flavors very close to actual Thailand. The menu includes specific meals like pad see ew, pad kra pow, duck noodle soup, fish cakes, crab noodle, BBQ chicken curry, yellow curry with chicken, catfish deluxe, and Thai Jook. The food is described as very tasty, yummy, and flavoursome with generous portions. The location is in the Tenderloin, tucked between Polk and Van Ness. The restaurant has relocated to a bigger space with more tables and very high ceilings, making the sound of happy diners very loud. The place is so busy that every table is filled, with people on a waiting list and multiple big groups. The staff works very hard and is fantastic, though it would be good to increase the number of waiters. Some desserts are not available on delivery apps. Diners should manage the spice level if not comfortable with spice.

Always order the boat noodles and the yen ta fo noodles because they both taste soooooo good.
The best Thai food I’ve had to in SF so far. I love that they offer a decent Thai Boat Noodles and their special papaya salad is second to none (Tum Taad). I couldn’t help myself from over ordering the dishes from their menu since I’ve been craving Thai food. For our table of four, I spent around $50 per person, but each of their menu items are very reasonably priced and $20-$30 would be enough to get one feeling full. I highly recommend it and I’ll totally...read full review
