“Fantastic place with fantastic food! Especially recommend their baklavas, sumac onions and exceptionally creamy hummus and tahini. And their hibiscus tea! It is so nice how you can build your own meal and get just what you like. They often email you really good promotions with discounts and my wife and I have never had a bad experience! It is always a treat to get the food delivered on a special occasion.Thank you for the great food, Sajj!“
“I've ordered from this spot twice now off of Relish for office catering, and I was pleased each time! I got a beef and lamb gyro plate the first time, which was very filling and I felt like it was good value for the price. This time I ordered a beef and lamb wrap, and it was oddly delicious considering the wrap was thin and not the pita bread I was expecting. Looking at other photos and that's the norm. It's giving burrito and I'm oddly ok with this. Overall, I would order this again!“
“We came here after a long urban hike with ravenous appetites. It was late noon but cafe was moderately full. Soon we were seated, welcomed with house special cauliflower & lavender soups. It was delicious and moth watering. I ordered potatoe and sage torte along with lemon & blueberry tart. Trust me ! We all had sumptuous lunch here. I will highly recommend this place who love vegan foods. I am sure ,here you will enjoy foods too.“
“We came in for a 530 reservation and I feel like this experience would have been better when the movie was actually playing. Next time we’ll have to try to get a later reservation! The food was really good but we wish we skipped the arugula salad. It was just okay. The duck and smoked salmon were amazing and the oysters were so good too. The vibe was a little off since it was still light out. Service was okay - our drinks took a long time but after that it was solid.“
“This was my second visit to Bistro Ember. The first was with a large group, including my wife, and we were able to share dishes and sample a bit of everything. We were so impressed with the freshness of ingredients and the distinctly Turkish flavorings that we decided to make it the destination for our wedding anniversary dinner (41st, thanks for asking). We toasted with two Turkish wines (which we were told were new to the menu). I had the white to go with my scallops, and my wife had the red to go with her burrata and mezze salald. Both were delicious. The scallops were perfectly cooked and plated with a sauce that included great spices and a sausage (so it was a sort of refined surf and turf). We shared a hot main course. In this case it was the “kebab”, which turned out to be a deconstructed wrap with grilled ground lamb and beef on top of fresh veggies and pita bread. The flavors were fantastic and it was easy to eat. Finally, I'm not usually a dessert person (or so I say). We couldn't resist ordering the baklava and it was fantastic. Filled generously with pistachio nuts and served with a just-right dollop of ice cream. We highly recommend the restaurant. It is a great addition to the Church Street corridor in Noe Valley.“
“What a delightful, charming, and tasty oasis in the Mission. The food and drinks are thoughtful and packed with flavors, some familiar and soul-warming, others surprising and eye-opening. The space is just the right amount of decor that sets the perfect tone. Most importantly, the owner is so hands-on, a friendly and attentive host who truly cares about every single person who walks through his doors.“
“A place on 24th St., the salvation to have a coffee, eat a good sandwich, have a beer and if you like everything Italian you will find it here! The guys are very friendly and the owner can't even speak of, I really liked it, I recommend it!“
“”Mediterranean Pizza & Gyro” is great! This family runned restaurant serves up wonderful, fresh, food: From ”mezze” (appetizers: hummus, baba ganoush, falafel) to wraps with various proteins: salmon, chicken, lamb/beef. Their salads are vibrant & fresh! Their specialty is “Pide” (Turkish pizza). They are baked to order straight out if the oven. Great food, great service from a proud family. Need I say more?“
“This spot is such an amazing find. The food is delicious, the staff are all incredibly kind, and it's a very casual restaurant to grab lunch or dinner. This restaurant has entered my rotation of post-workout dinners when I just want something tasty and filling. I usually order the Erbil Kebab, which comes with rice and salad. It's a huge portion for one person, but a little small to feed two. You certainly get a ton of value for the price! Also... the toum (garlic sauce) is addictive--You've been warned!“
“It's rare to find a place with so many outstanding reviews - all of them are more than accurate!Absolutely delicious homemade food! Go and try yourself! I can't recommend this place enough and will definitely come back! The Manti were to die for!“
“Great food and service! We went with some friends and the owners gave us samples of their delicious dips with pita bread. The spitfire chicken salad bowl was delicious. We had kalamari steaks and falafel too. Very delicious. We will definitely be back. Reasonably priced good food.“
“Everything was well worth its price! Every plate had an exceptionally generous serving of meat, and everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The hummus and olive oil were excellent, pitas were nicely firm, and falafel had a crunchy outside. I wish there were more vegetables to balance out the meat and grains, but otherwise everything was perfect!Vegetarian options: This restaurant's specialties are meat, but there are multiple vegetarian options and I bet they all taste great.Wheelchair accessibility: Nicely spaced tables that waiters can move as you need, and no ramps or stairs. Door is not powered.“

“Oh wow! This place was great. The gentlemen works were very helpful, considerate, and polite. Seemed like they really appreciated my business and enjoyed sharing their food with me. On top of that.. Food was delish! Establishment was clean. Very impressed and much appreciated.“
“I tried the Panos burger, I never had a burger like this before. The ingredients used work well for the burger. I would recommend to come try this place out. My sister got the same and enjoyed it. My mom got the Dolores omelette and enjoyed it as well. Portion sizes are match well for the price.“
“We were a group of 10+, and that was our bad. The lanes between tables are narrow and not suited for a rowdy crowd meeting for a global reunion.Parking is nuts. But this is the mission. And the signage is subtle so you may miss it.They have decent cocktails and cocktails, with flavors from the Levant, with cardamom and other warming spices. Unique in some ways, familiar in others. We ordered half the menu, from the veggie mezze platter to ful, chicken skewers to shrimp skewers. While most of the group enjoyed the food, the experience is on the understated side. The service was polite, but be prepared to ask for pita repeatedly. Don’t expect attention to detail where someone will fill your cup without asking or even ensure everyone has silverware. To be fair, they aren’t geared for large groups. We should’ve done our research. It’s a decent place for date night or a small intimate gathering of up to 4.I am torn about the food. If I didn’t have a comparison with the excellent almost-Michelin star Beit Rima, I would’ve thought this was excellent. However portions are on the smaller side and the flavor is on the milder/blander side. It’s that one thing that needs to be amped up. Some lemon on the shrimp skewer, some spice on the chicken, the labneh was a little too sour. We enjoyed the muhamara, and the falafel wasn’t too shabby. The fattoush salad was fresh but lacked oomph. We had heard good things about the two Palestinian cheese, however be warned they can be very salty, yet somehow delicious. Some folks liked the veggie musakhan, a wrap that’s stuffed with cooked mushrooms, and others enjoyed their freekeh and red lentil soups. While the desserts were average, kannafeh and qatayef, the standout was halwa with ice cream.Overall this was a mixed experience. Mostly our fault for having a large group that overwhelmed the kitchen and staff, but most of the blame goes to Beit Rima for giving us high expectations from our middle eastern food.“
“Fantastic Sunday brunch. Was able snag the small area outside for a party of four. Service was swift and food was excellent. A very filling meal for a reasonable price.Dishes were delicious. Maybe the burgers/sliders could use a tad more salt/seasoning but they are indeed juicy and never dry in my experience.Get any type of potatoes and they’ll be prepared to perfection. And the desert/treat dishes were a nice finish. Kunefe with some salted caramel gelato is a wonderful combo.“
“This was a wonderful dining experience. The atmosphere was stylish: marble topped tables and gold chairs, with subdued lighting. The food was exquisite. I started with the roasted cauliflower, made with dates, mint, and harissa tahini sauce. I ordered it because it sounded exotic, and. . . I thought I’d died and gone to heaven! I will order this again! And I followed that with the Caprese pizza (mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, and basil). It was, in a word, delicious! The crust was marvelous: soft and slightly chewy. I shouldn’t be surprised. The Turks have the best bread. I will definitely be back, but also want to try the sister restaurant, Mykonos.“
“Vegetarian / vegan wrap perfect for Good Friday. The Turkish double espresso was delicious and not gross like the bitter American roasters. I got fries, but did not realize lentil soup is on the menu. Next time. Operated by family, doesn’t get better than that.Dietary restrictions: Halal“
“One of my favorites in the Mission District, located at Harrison and 24th Street, is Healthyish Republic an explosion of flavors, textures, and delicious healthy style. When I arrived in San Francisco, I was super concerned about my food routine, and that's when I found them! Since then, they've become more than just my favorite spot; it's my second home. Perfect if you follow a Keto, Paleo, Mediterranean style diet, or simply if you appreciate quality food with top ingredients. Thanks for every experience, Healthyish family!“
“They accept reservations and the wait time for walk-ins varies. On Sunday evening, I waited for 30 minutes. They offer fantastic pasta and desserts. The clam chowder soup was a bit cold, but the taste was good. The pasta and cheesecake were amazing. The hosts are very welcoming.“
“After all the holiday food we needed something lighter, and this hit the spot! Way more than the office lunch space it looks like.We got the vegetarian combo plate and were blown away by the amazing dips and tabbouleh. Sometimes tabbouleh can feel flat (and too full of parsley), but this one felt fresh and well balanced. The bread was soft and delicious.Wish we got a photo, the presentation was pretty too.“
“Falafel and shawarma shop located in the heart of the Mission. Although seating is limited, we've always seemed to luck out on a seat. They offer free falafel as you order, which is kind of them. My go-to order is the kefta plate. The beef is super tender and their hummus is SO good“
“Very friendly, neighborhood place. Very good food and not too expensive. I enjoyed the feta cheese cigar appetizer and shrimp kabobs. My husband really liked the beef stroganoff although it comes with rice instead of noodles. No reservations so go early.“
“This Middle Eastern gem captivates the senses with its authentic flavors. From the silky hummus to the succulent kebabs, each dish is a culinary journey. The warm ambiance and attentive service enhance the overall dining experience. A must-visit for anyone craving genuine Middle Eastern cuisine. There are two locations you can visit, San Bruno and Burlingame.“
“Got the vegan breakfast burrito. It was pretty good! The tofu scramble was great and the side of fries/potatoes was so good, just felt like there could be more veggies overall. Great service and love that they have Equator coffee. Good place overall, but just like the name suggests its more comfort food in my opinion vs healthier options“
“The food is delicious and the portions are generous. The prices are high but consistent with peer restaurants. The inside is a bit small but the servers do a good job. I highly recommend for take-out especially, or dine in with small groups.“
“Had dinner here for the first time with a friend who suggested the place...the reception by the hostess was good, the place was pleasant and had a warm atmosphere. Equally good was the food. The gin and tonic I ordered at the bar tasted more like tonic than gin.“
“We had heard a lot about this place from the folks across the street so we knew we had to try it. We had a group of 4, with two dogs and while it was very packed, they were awesome about getting a table outside for us.We were super hungry and ordered so many things, and everything was SO GOOD. We ordered the Lebna, the Ful, the Baked Halloumi, the hummus, the batata harra, a few falafel the shish tawook plate and pitas.Everything was SO flavorful, so unique and just delicious. The Halloumi and the Lebna were the absolute stars but the Pita is soooooo soft too!Do yourself a favor and make a stop here because you will not be dissapointed.“
“Our experience was marred because of a large table of very loud young men. It was difficult to have a conversation. I wish people would be more considerate, and realize that there are other people in a restaurant. Otherwise, the food and service was very good. I have been coming to this restaurant for years and was happy to see some new choices on the menu. “
“In the Lakeview Hood! The chopped cheese specialty sandwich tasted delicious. The bread was on a nice toasted sweet roll. In terms of taste, the chopped cheese was solid, but I was hoping to taste more of the bell pepper and cheese in the ground beef. The garlic fries were my favorite and cooked nicely; it was like steak-cut fries, I tasted the oil, garlic, and parsley. The service was chill. I asked the chef what was a popular dish; he recommended the chopped cheese or the shawarma. I went with the chopped cheese. I want to return and try the shawarma and maybe get a good hood drink on my way out!“
“I've come here many times over the 17 years I've lived in SF, and the food is always delicious. This review is especially for their dessert, a dessert I never tried before, called the muhalabiye. It is like a delicious rose flavored pudding, with fresh whipped cream. Decadent and delicious. The coffee I had paired perfectly with this treat. La Mediterranee has always been lovely and has an adorable ambiance. I am so happy it is still around!“
“Wow!! Super delicious!! Went with a group of 6 friends and everyone loved the the food!! Lots of fantastic vegetarian options. I ordered the Mjadra and we shared the Fattoush salad, tabouleh, and pickles. My friends also got the veggie combo and falafel wrap.I had a different salad which came with my mjadra and both that salad and the Fattoush salad had crazy yummy dressing. I loved them so much I asked if they sold the dressing separately to go and she said they didn't but she gave me a generous portion of each to take home with me...no charge!!“
“The food is pretty average (I usually get the lamb wrap and it feels pretty healthy, but sometimes a bit dry)... but that baklava froyo is to-die for. It's fast Mediterranean, so you order at the counter and get your food quick -- but there's also only a few options on the menu. I've been to multiple Souvla locations (Mission, Hayes, Marina) and the quality has been pretty consistent across shops. The inside atmosphere is nice -- clean tables, self-serve water, usually not super packed and easy to find a seat. All in all a good casual spot when you're looking to grab something quick either alone or with friends“
“Taboun was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. I had the falafel bowl for lunch and it was excellent. Freshly made and super tasty.Family owned and run with super friendly service. I hope to be back next time I'm in San Francisco.“
“I was recommended to try a Mediterranean restaurant of a very similar name. Did not read carefully and ended up here. Was not disappointed at all. Friendly and quick service. Delicious food, good portions. We tried the dolmas, chicken gyro and lamb and beef gyro. Clean and bright space. Mother gave an A+ for clean bathroom. Worth a save for repeat visit!“
“My husband and I ordered Cigarette pastry for starters and Mediterranean combo for main course. It was filling for the two of us. And the service was very good too. We will be visiting again.Parking: We parked in front of the Burlingame High School and walked to the restaurant.“
“The staff here is extremely accommodating and friendly! I had a booth for the Crystal Fair held in the Country Fair building across the street.Park Gyros came and took orders for all of the vendors and hand delivered them! They were very friendly and accommodating and went above and beyond for us!Not to mention the food was delicious. Day 1 of the fair I had a chicken wrap that was bursting with flavor.Day 2 I had the medit. Combo plate! Highly recommend both of these dishes.Huge shout out to Veysel for his huge heart and for the delivery of our lunches!!I wasn't able to catch the name of the gentleman who delivered our lunch on day 1 but he was also incredible!“
“WHEN: wednesday ~ August 30, 2023 Ordered through postmates so review is not reflective of in person dining. Got the chicken shawarma plate that comes with spiced rice, chicken shawarma, roasted/pickled veggies, and a yellow sauce. The size of bowl is quite big. The meat is tender and flavorful. I especially liked the rice. It's pretty oily though. The yellow sauce was a pass for me, but the dish was really flavorful on its own. Saw some reviews saying the falafel was good so I would try that next time!“
“This was the random spot I picked to have dinner in SF. Was in the area purchasing a vehicle and decided to give it a try. The cashier was very patient with us and was smiling the entire time we were there. He seemed like an easy-going, content individual. Order to go but decided to eat there in the outdoor dining area. The gentleman was quick to pull us a heater (it was cold and windy-SF). Such great customer service and the food was delicious. We both enjoyed the lamb plate. Everything had excellent flavor and the meat was cooked perfectly and so flavorful. I rarely go to SF but if I'm ever in the area, I'd consider coming here again.“
“Was walking by and decided to try it. The server could have been a little more friendly. Or helped me decide on what to order. I ordered a combo plate lamb and beef gyros, and it came with rice salad and pita bread.Atmosphere would have been better if there was a screaming child.Other than that, I will recommend.“
“This place is beautiful. We were at the Midway day Trance party and felt hungry. We were particularly looking forward to tasty warm fries. That what we exactly got, loved it. As well as the place is full of light, has authentic decoration and modern.Absolutely would love to eat here again and would recommend it to you.“
“My favorite brunch spot, I can’t believe they aren’t more popular than Zazie (which is also great).I’ve been going here for years, and now that we no longer live in SF we visit every time we are in town. The Boston Benedict is my favorite by far. The hollandaise is lemony and delicious.“
“Love this place! Its casual, not fancy, and the food is delicious. We had kebabs, lentil soup, falafel and rice pudding. The portions are large and the service is great, too. My mom uses a wheelchair, and they have tables that accommodate wheelchairs. Great place for lunch or dinner.“
“If you’re looking for delicious home made Syrian food, this place is truly a find. Not only do they have amazing hospitality- the art work on the walls adds a warm ambiance feel. My favorite has been the lentil soup. The humus is my absolute favorite along with the chicken shawarma.Kid-friendliness: Kids are more than welcome to eat at this place.“
“Valencia is home to so much amazing food, taking a moment to appreciate it all can be overwhelming and we can get so lost in our favorites, we can look past new spots all the time! Petra is new and amazing. With an amazingly large dining room loaded with call backs to one of the wonders of the world Petra, the energy is phenomenal, and can only be matched by its food! The menu is filled with classics, but the best part is the portion size! You'll be full before your main comes up if you're not ready! The quality is just as high! With a reasonable wait time to get my food, friendly faces, and some of my favorites like a fantastic hummus plate, and incredible fries I highly recommend Petra to everyone!! I liked the knafeh a lot, but their baklava is amazing! And if you aren't feeling adventurous there's a Mitchell's ice cream attached! It's amazing!“
“EXCELLENT food!!! I was craving a kebab and stumbled onto this place. I got the sampler with a chicken and lamb kebab. I was floored by the baba ghanouj and falafel. Wonderful flavor and perfect crunch in the falafel. I think I’ve found my new favorite restaurant!!“
“Enjoyed the lunch and friendly service. The setting was nice with indoor or outdoor options. They weren’t very busy. The hummus was really good and so was the chicken wrap. It was a little off putting the number of flies flying around in the eating area. I would visit here again the next time I am in town.“
“Thanks to yelpers and their honest reviews...I was looking for take away for the hubs at home. We discovered Cobani Gyrl & Kebab! A cute shop in an older part of San Mateo. Staff was friendly and took my order. I ordered mixed grill plate, dulma, and baklava - a little over 45 bucks w/ tip. Brought it home and husband enjoyed. Stated the dolma freshly made and grilled plate nicely seasoned and well cooked, not tough. We may check them out another time and dine in if we're ever back in the neighborhood. efcharistó!“
“LOVE LOTUS SO MUCH!! OUR FAVORITE PLACE IN SAN BRUNO! Love the shawarma and the shawarma fries, never actually been disappointed by anything we've ordered because it's always so good. Food tastes amazing, is super filling, and pretty healthy. We always order extra tahini and hummus and tabouleh! In terms of desserts I've only had their tiramisu, and it was pretty good! If you're looking for good food, lotus is the place. (free palestine)“
