Gola Restaurant Sf Reviews
My friend and I were visiting CA from Tunisia and stopped here for a taste of home. The chef's dishes are delicious and showcase his unique personal touch on classic recipes. We enjoyed everything we ate, and especially recommend the spicy cauliflower and deviled eggs. The meat in the tagines was incredibly tender and flavorful. As we say in Tunisia, Saha w bishfe! Enjoy!
Absolutely a delight for your taste buds. I had the Stuffed Bread pastry appetizer (can’t recall the name) and Brikh a Thon (Lamb shank) entree and Baklava dessert along with a well made Mojito. With every bite, I felt closer to heaven.
The chef pours his heart and soul into the flavors of each dish coupled with the uniquely divine aesthetic.
The Chef has managed to achieve absolute perfection in every bite. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough to...read full review

Gola is a cozy restaurant that offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, reminiscent of Tunisia. The menu features a range of dishes, including the popular Brik, Octopus starter, and Lamb Tajine. Guests have praised the delicious scallops in turmeric cream sauce, shrimp deviled eggs, and the flavorful Branzino. The food is satisfying, with a variety of entrees that all receive positive feedback. The service is friendly and professional, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. The restaurant has an intimate and lively atmosphere, with light music in the background and a nice bar area featuring great mocktails, cocktails, and Tunisian red wine. The space is well-managed, and the decor adds to the overall charm, making it a great place for special occasions, such as birthdays. Gola is a fantastic new addition to San Francisco, with generous portions, delicious food, and helpful staff providing excellent recommendations. The small restaurant offers excellent Tunisian/Mediterranean food, including the tagines, which are highly praised, and some more unusual dishes. The wine list is interesting and well-priced, adding to the overall experience. Guests enjoy trying traditional dishes like deviled eggs with shrimp, stuffed peppers, and lamb tagine, often finishing almost all of their meals and even taking home homemade bread because it’s so good. The quick service and the mix of familiar and unique flavors, such as the triangular borek with sous vide egg yolk, make Gola a very nice experience. Prices are moderate, and the Tunisian wine complements the dishes well, making Gola a popular spot for those seeking flavorful and authentic Tunisian cuisine.
