After living in the neighborhood for 27 years, it took me forever to give them a shot. Once I ordered from here, it was game over and it became a monthly (more like biweekly) thing for me. It is a market, so you can grab a drink and some chips while you are waiting for your sanwich to be made. When not busy, theyr are fairly quick. Rhea's is a Valencia/Mission neighborhood staple; and for good reason! This place is a no frills deli/convenience store that gives very old school deli/bodega vibes. What they lack in decor, they make up for in amazingly delicious sandwiches. In my recent trips, I have tried the Panda sandwich and the 19th St. The Panda featured tender, juicy and delicious pastrami that brought back memories of a previous trip to NYC.
