Honestly, my favorite sandwiches in SF. Really high quality meats... crisp, fresh produce... several homemade condiments... and Acme bread! It's always hard for me to make up my mind about what I want. Call or use an app to order ahead, it might take a minute to make your sandwich.

Great sandwiches with customizable options. Get the acme bread!! Can get pretty busy around lunch time with a wait of about 15-20 minutes but worth it!!

After living in the neighborhood for 27 years, it took me forever to give them a shot. Once I ordered from here, it was game over and it became a monthly (more like biweekly) thing for me. It is a market, so you can grab a drink and some chips while you are waiting for your sanwich to be made. When not busy, theyr are fairly quick. Weekends is when it is usually the most packed so I tend to go before I am starving starving, or call ahead if available. The ingredients are fresh, portions are big, and the flavor definitely has not missed! Here are some of my favorites: - Barney Rubble Sandwich - Buster Posey #28 Sandwich - Honestly I really enjoy the pastrami here! My boyfriend says good things about the buffalo chicken options-

Rhea's is a Valencia/Mission neighborhood staple; and for good reason! This place is a no frills deli/convenience store that gives very old school deli/bodega vibes. What they lack in decor, they make up for in amazingly delicious sandwiches. In my recent trips, I have tried the Panda sandwich and the 19th St. The Panda featured tender, juicy and delicious pastrami that brought back memories of a previous trip to NYC. Though not as scrumptious as Katz, it was still comparable (and half the cost). This mouthwatering sandwich was encased in a satisfyingly crunchy dutch crunch. The 19th St. was a curated combination of roast beef, pickled jalapenos and avocado. Though the roast beef was not as memorable as their pastrami, I did enjoy the sandwich as a whole. The texture of the avocados contrasted with the slightly crunchy jalapenos, and they both paired well with the roast beef. Bonus is that they didn't skimp on the fillings. I do recommend Rhea's to fellow sandwich lovers. One can skip the lines and order online to pick up (which is what I usually do), though this only applies to their curated selections and not any custom sandwiches. With the current rise in prices all over the city, their prices are pretty similar and (IMO) worth it. But the proof is in the pudding, er the sandwich.

My favorite sandwich place in the world. I could eat here daily, but I no longer live in the city.

Great standard place for a sandwich. I think they have weird hours sometimes so always check for that. I swear I tried to get a sandwich once at like 3 or 4pm and they said they stopped serving even tho their hours are posted otherwise. Service can take some time just because it's a popular spot and they have a lot of orders, it's worth the wait tho. I think the longest I waited was like 15 mins. You can also order online. I usually order a Diamond Heights and take off the BBQ sauce. They have the order slips near the register and then you mark what you want on your sandwich and pay out. They have a large menu so there's something for everyone.

Rhea's sandwiches are still fantastic, despite the Korean steak no longer being a permanent fixture of the menu. Thanks Rhea for the sandwich happiness over the years.
