“Really enjoyed Nomadic Kitchen in San Mateo! They feature a streamlined menu focused on heavy-hitting entrees and appetizers, which makes ordering easy because everything they do, they do right.

The hummus plate is an absolute must-have. It features incredibly creamy, delicious hummus topped with vibrant cabbage and pomegranate seeds. It is surrounded by a beautiful ring of rich, colorful sauces, dips, and pickles that pair perfectly with the basket of warm, homemade bread.

For the main course, the chicken kebab was a total hit. The chicken breast cubes are perfectly charred and incredibly tender. What really sets Nomadic Kitchen over the top is their beautiful plating and generous side options. The entree comes out beautifully arranged on a sleek black platter, complete with a fresh salad topped with pickled cabbage, a side of seasoned bulgur wheat, and a side of fluffy white rice. Having both rice options on one plate is a fantastic touch.

If the weather is nice, I highly recommend sitting out on the patio area to enjoy the beautiful San Mateo sun. The service was completely solid, friendly and fairly quick, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you get. I will definitely be back.“

The clean, healthy, tasty, perfectly portioned sized, and masterly prepared dishes by Ali, and his friendly staff, keep me coming back. My new favorites are the lentil soup, and lamb shank (limited menu special). Satisfying food experience I highly recommend.“

“I came with a bunch of work colleagues and the atmosphere was nice. The outdoor seating was nice and the staff were helpful, although they didn't come around too often unless we ordered something in the app. This meant that plates were left for quite a while. I looked around to other tables and didn't see anyone helping them regularly either.

The food was OK, not great or memorable but we were ordering for the group so we couldn't get a real meal. We had hummus, lamb, and chicken with some bread. The chocolate cake was good, rich but not overwhelming.

I think the best part was just hanging out with friends, and I saw that with other tables as well, everyone just enjoyed their time and relaxed. Not being pushed out for the next person.“

“5 STARS! No BS corporate Olive Garden here! Calzone's my fave. Few Italian spots make'm nowadays. Bread's pillow soft. Mushrooms & tomatoes retain a lotta H2O. I've had some watery ones from other restaurants that spilled out when cut open in the past. Theirs is legit. Customize your own, but the 1 on the menu's fabulous as is. They make their own herb focaccia! Ordering mouthwatering meatballs a la carte is a must! Pastas, paninis, open face, salads, rotisserie chx, ribs, draft beer, wine, delivery, takeout, etc. Perfect place to take your loved ones/friends who'd appreciate the art & hard work the staff serves up so quickly!“

“I decided to give it a try because Mediterranean. There are too many Italian and Asian places and I wanted something different.
Gives an I glad I did !

They have a great menu choice and although I don't remember the name of my dish it was lamb and it was amazing. Perfect temperature, amazing flavor, the rice was spot on and the salad crunchy and fresh.
I am not sure what stressing they used but I could drink that by itself, it was amazing. The lady who served me had a smile on her face and was super polite. The bread I got with my order was delicious.

I am absolutely coming back here and I will drag everybody here who asks me where to eat.

Next time I want to try their pizza so watch for that.

A really great place, I can only recommend it.

Kofta Kebap Plate.... I just returned from Sydney where I got to try and enjoy all sorts of meals so it was my desire to stop by Med. P&G for a Kofta Kebab plate.. and I am so glad I did.
The best was tender and flavorful, the gentle lemon dressing on the crisp salad was incredible, the rice really really good and the bread... I have no words.

“Had a wonderful, fresh breakfast and a nice dinner at the restaurant in The Westin in Palo Alto. The breakfast I chose was the bar which included eggs, bacon, potatoes, and French toast. Cereal, coffee, OJ, and toast was available as well a 8 varieties of fruit.For dinner, I started with the cheese plate and finished with the Soleil Burger with Gilroy fries. Long Islands were outstanding. The cheese plate was excellent and served with toast. The burger was cooked to perfection with bacon and cheddar.“

“This is a very unique joint because it’s inside of a grocery store which made it unique, but the food itself was amazing. We were here from out of town in the Central Valley and the reviews were very good so we took a chance and we were very happy. The grocery store itself was amazing. Honestly I wasn't up for trying something new in that moment, but the cashier shared that the Mediterranean bowl was her favorite item and suggested I pair it with the chicken souvlaki. It was one of the tastier and better casual lunches I've had in a while! Service was also very friendly and helpful, and I thanked the cashier on my way out for her recommendation. It was so good that the following week I ordered the same bowls for a family dinner via door dash.

“When it comes to Mediterranean food, Falafel Tazah truly stands out. I've been a loyal customer at all of their locations for over ten years, and I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal. Their chicken and veggie kabobs are my go-to favorites, and their falafels, hands down the best I've ever had. “Good but -1 star for the hours. Every time I actually want quesabirria tacos, they're closed. They close during the prime dinner time, which is unfortunate. I always end up ordering my quesabirria tacos from elsewhere.

Besides their quesabirria, I really like their orange and green salsas. It's just the right amount of heat in each.“

Anybody visiting this area needs to visit Bahche, it’s super convenient to get to between El Camino and 101-S in a super nice renewed area of Hillsdale/San Mateo. Their baklava with ice cream topped off the amazing experience and it was to our liking. I must call out their attention to detail, check out my photo of the baklava. How they place it even for a to-go packaging! Awesome and well recommended!“
