The mixed green salad had tomatoes amd cucumber and was topped with a pickled cabbage and dressed to perfection. I only had a small bite of the pita because rhe meal was so filling. I can't wait to try the baklava we ordered. What a great find. I will definitely be going back to this restaurant.“

“I have to give a huge shoutout to the team at Nick the Greek! I placed an online order and left a note mentioning that my falafel hadn't been cooked well in the past. Not only did they make sure it came out perfectly crispy this time, but they also threw in a free sauce AND left the sweetest handwritten note on my order slip. It's such a small thing that takes so little effort, but it means so much as a customer. it TRULY shows they actually read the notes and genuinely care about getting it right. “I’m beyond impressed! The staff and chefs were so pleasant and helpful. While a dish costs a little more than average, it was a huge portion of very fresh and flavorful food. I got the shrimp plate and my boyfriend got chicken shawarma and an additional kofta skewer. Mine came with hummus, pita, a salad, rice and shrimp. Beautiful presentation! The chicken came with yogurt, salad, and a ton of chicken. Great atmosphere- families and couples with bright windows in front and nice Arabic music. We both took home leftovers and will surely be back. Thank you!!“

“The food was ACTUALLY to die for. Did not expect this level of flavor from this humble establishment, but I was pleasantly surprised. Everything we got was delicious including hummus, babaganoush, mix platter, dolma, caramalized milk, baklava, and the Iskender. I probably wouldn't get the Iskender again, but that's just because they made an Italian spin on Mediterranean food and I just wanted Mediterranean. They even served me a free Turkish tea just for the heck of it.

“Really enjoyed Nomadic Kitchen in San Mateo! They feature a streamlined menu focused on heavy-hitting entrees and appetizers, which makes ordering easy because everything they do, they do right.

The hummus plate is an absolute must-have. It features incredibly creamy, delicious hummus topped with vibrant cabbage and pomegranate seeds. It is surrounded by a beautiful ring of rich, colorful sauces, dips, and pickles that pair perfectly with the basket of warm, homemade bread.

For the main course, the chicken kebab was a total hit. The chicken breast cubes are perfectly charred and incredibly tender. What really sets Nomadic Kitchen over the top is their beautiful plating and generous side options. The entree comes out beautifully arranged on a sleek black platter, complete with a fresh salad topped with pickled cabbage, a side of seasoned bulgur wheat, and a side of fluffy white rice. Having both rice options on one plate is a fantastic touch.

If the weather is nice, I highly recommend sitting out on the patio area to enjoy the beautiful San Mateo sun. The service was completely solid, friendly and fairly quick, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you get. I will definitely be back.“

“Had a wonderful, fresh breakfast and a nice dinner at the restaurant in The Westin in Palo Alto. The breakfast I chose was the bar which included eggs, bacon, potatoes, and French toast. Cereal, coffee, OJ, and toast was available as well a 8 varieties of fruit.For dinner, I started with the cheese plate and finished with the Soleil Burger with Gilroy fries. Long Islands were outstanding. The cheese plate was excellent and served with toast. The burger was cooked to perfection with bacon and cheddar.“

Ordered two combo plates to go. The meats were tender and well-seasoned, pairing perfectly with their fragrant rice, pita, refreshing salad, and cold sparkling Vimto.

I also wanted to mention that even the takeout utensils were high quality, not the flimsy kind you often get elsewhere.

“This is a very unique joint because it’s inside of a grocery store which made it unique, but the food itself was amazing. We were here from out of town in the Central Valley and the reviews were very good so we took a chance and we were very happy. The grocery store itself was amazing. They had some items that we can’t find back home so we did some grocery shopping as well. I would highly recommend this place two thumbs up.“

“I’ve been to this falafel spot many times on the recommendation of friends, and I’ve always sent others there. Until today, the service and food were exceptional—top quality every visit. However, today was different. There was a new cook wearing a white t-shirt and black hat, and my chicken shawarma was off. I got mostly cold veggies at first, and the chicken, when it came, was undercooked. Compared to my wife’s, it was missing that care and balance. Please have a sit-down conversation with the staff—this was not the standard I expect.“

- The key lime cheesecake was fine but not particularly tangy or memorable.
- Ow the lunch pricing. $60 after tax and tip for the steak entree + dessert (no drink), but this *is* in a hotel, so I wasn't terribly surprised.“

“5 STARS! No BS corporate Olive Garden here! Calzone's my fave. Few Italian spots make'm nowadays. Bread's pillow soft. Mushrooms & tomatoes retain a lotta H2O. I've had some watery ones from other restaurants that spilled out when cut open in the past. Theirs is legit. Customize your own, but the 1 on the menu's fabulous as is. They make their own herb focaccia! Ordering mouthwatering meatballs a la carte is a must! Pastas, paninis, open face, salads, rotisserie chx, ribs, draft beer, wine, delivery, takeout, etc. Perfect place to take your loved ones/friends who'd appreciate the art & hard work the staff serves up so quickly!“
