“What a vibe—I love eating outdoors under the umbrellas, and I always feel at home here when I meet Alia and the rest of the staff. They truly make it feel like you’re part of the family, and the food reflects a high-quality home cooking feel as well. I come here for the most affordable yet high quality food on the entire of Castro Street, and I often wonder how places like Oren’s and Hummus Kitchen stay in business, when this place tastes so much more authentic and feels like a small-town cafe rather than a corporate chain. I can’t wait to keep trying all the great vegetarian and vegan items on the menu, and I’m happy to see that the veg-GF menu is constantly updating :)“
“I got the mix platter which was pretty expensive ($40) but oh boy all the different meats were amazing and on point. Would definitely go again for the meats.Service was a bit tricky with a few different waiters taking orders and bringing stuff, sometimes mixing things up. We all got the right food and drinks in the end but it could have been smoother“
“We absolutely love this place, it has by far the best hummus around. We ordered the classic hummus and tzatziki. They were both incredible. We opted to try their spanakopita, which in my opinion wasn't as good as others I've had. They come 2 to an order so that was a pleasant surprise. I would stick to the dips next time.“
“Super tasty food. The steak and the pomegranate chicken are really good. The portions are pretty good size and there are many toppings to choose from.I wish the employees could smile and be a little nicer. That is what this place needs to be great.Vegetarian options: FalafelCauliflowerHummus“
“List of Items ordered:Baghali Polo (Lamb Shank) (Entree)2x Koobideh (Beef) Skewer plate (Entree)Chicken Skewer plate (Entree)Dolma (Appetizer)Baklava (Dessert)Total: About $131For the location of the place, it was a welcome surprise with the atmosphere. It felt like upscale dining and the service was wonderful. They were very attentive, and eye contact alone will get their attention to serve you. Although the menu may seem pricey, the portions they give you absolutely make up for the prices and more. Entree plates are about 8-9 inches in diameter and are full with rice, a light salad and roasted vegetables, including your choice of protein of course. The Chicken skewer plate came with 2 skewer lengths that were taken off the skewer and were juicy. I was under the impression that a barbeque style of cook dries out the chicken but however they cook it, it's perfection. My colleagues enjoyed the fact that the lamb shank easily fell off the bone and the Koobideh plate was just juicy. We later asked if we could add a to-go Koobideh plate to our order and it was out to us in the next 10 minutes. Definitely will be coming back to eat at this hidden gem with more friends.“
“This is a superb Mediterranean restaurant in Palo Alto. The food, service, and the ambience are all very nice. For appetizers, we ordered the eggplant which was incredibly flavorful, although a bit on the heavy side. For my main dish I ordered house combo plate, which came with a combination of chicken kebab, beef kebab, lamb and beef gyros, served with rice and a salad. Surprisingly, the chicken kebab were the best ones -- just amazing flavors, although I pretty much enjoyed everything. Very polite and courteous staff -- a definite place to return to.“
“A little hidden GEM!! The food was so delicious, soup and dishes had so much flavour, it was mouth watering. Turkish coffee was such a delight and the bread was sooo good. This place is for sure one of my top favourite restaurants. The gentleman serving was so sweet and courteous :) atmosphere feels cozy and at home!!“

Each dish is a masterpiece, blending traditional Turkish flavors with innovative twists that tantalize the taste buds. The presentation is impeccable, elevating the dining experience to new heights. Don't miss their signature dishes like the succulent lamb chops, Alinazik or the delightful baklava with a modern twist. With exceptional service and a menu that surprises and delights, Mayhouse is a must-visit for any food enthusiast craving a taste of Turkey with a creative flair!"“
“We have been to DishDash many times and previously I have always thought of it as a 5 star place. The service is always good and the dishes are well-presented.However yesterday we ventured away from our typical dishes, Maza Sampler and Reyash. The Rihan appetizer was good but next time maybe we should try the Babaghanouge. My wife enjoyed her Tiki Kebab with Brussels Sprouts but I was pretty disappointed with my Tabsi Falafel. It tasted more like a typical American stew except with Falafels. At least the Falafels were excellent. The other two vegetarian entree choices did not look too appealing which is why I think in the past I always ended up just getting the Maza Sampler.Vegetarian options: Only three vegetarian entree options.“
“Don't walk, RUN to Kabob Fusion. My partner and I were looking for a restaurant that opens late on a Friday night and we were so blessed to discover this gem. The staff is so warm and welcomes you like family. The menu is concise and offers photos which help with decision making. We ordered the combo plate and the gyro wrap and hnnnnnghhh it's so good...like so so good. The gyro is grilled to perfection, soft and flavorful and not overly salty. Everything is really made with passion, I know this staff cares about feeding their customers well. Highly recommend this joint in Fremont. Watch out competitors, this place is on its way up.“
“Excellent and filling Gyro wrap. Good amount of meat to veggie ratio, thinly sliced onions and tomatoes and the tzatziki sauce was a icy and creamy. They have indoor seating a small patio with tables, chairs and umbrellas outside which makes for a great place to sit in this amazing mid March Spring weather in the Bay Area. They Also have an indoor dining area which looked nice, but with a balmy 72F why would you want to stay inside?“
“We had beef-lamb doner plate and lahmacun. The taste of doner was amazing. It has the perfect meat/fat ratio. We hesitated to eat lahmacun in the bay area. But this place is an excellent choice to eat lahmacun. They also serve homemade yogurt drink which is really good. But doner was the best. The staff was kind and friendly.“
“Ordered a large order for takeout and the owner was extremely accommodating and had phenomenal communication! The food was fantastic, wrapped well so it wouldn't spill in transport. The falafel was phenomenal, even some of my coworkers who don't like falafel in general said it was good! I would highly recommend going!Vegetarian options: Falafel is fantastic!“
“Absolutely phenomenal experience at Greek Kitchen! From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance transported us to the Mediterranean coast. The attention to detail in decor, combined with the tantalizing aroma of authentic Greek cuisine, set the stage for an unforgettable dining adventure. Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with fresh flavors and expertly crafted to perfection. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, ensuring every need was met with a smile. A true gem in the culinary world, Greek Kitchen has earned its place as a must-visit destination for anyone craving an authentic taste of Greece. Highly recommended!“
“A very nice restaurant in downtown Sunnyvale. Located in the pedestrian only street, with parking nearby. Very friendly and professional service, and a great ambiance. The selection for vegetarian main courses is limited, however, only eggplant dishes. Nevertheless, a very good choice to dine in Sunnyvale.“
“Dropped in on a whim, wasn’t sure what to order. The owner offered some free samples. The lamb is amazing! Some of the best I’ve ever had. He made me a lamb gyro that was 10/10. My son and I were very impressed with the service and food. We Will be dropping by again. Thank you!“
“I love the quality food, quality service, Excellent customer service. It is also very clean and the bathroom is clean. The tea is free refill.Vegetarian options: The breakfast plate is vegetarian. The pastries have vegetarian options such as cheese, potato , olives.Parking: Plenty of parking available near the place.Wheelchair accessibility: The place is spacious and the bathroom as well.“
“If you like Turkish food, then this is your place in South Bay area. Their lentil soup is one of the best! Adana kebab is perfect. Definitely taste gullac dessert and Turkish tea. This place could put a bit more Turkish art and decorations so that I can come with my family next time!“
“VFM 5/5This is a place mostly run by elderly folks and gives warmth and homely vibe to the place. You feel like you are taken care of here. Salmon was yummy and fresh. The kebab platter had chicken souvlaki, mutton and sausages. A bit heavy but wholesome. The gyros were huge and the fries were fresh. Overall we had a relaxed and good time. Sardines on the special was average for me.“
“Delicious food, smart presentation, good wine list. They understand proper sear on salmon.Every dish has rich flavors and textures. Really well done, so there's a lot to talk about. Many people come here on dates and it's a great place for that. The squash dessert is amazing -- not savory but not too sweet and with a lot of complexity. To top it off, the staff is friendly and the service attentive without hovering. It's the best kind of "feeling at home" -- that's hospitality.Vegetarian options: If it doesn't say it has meat, it doesn't. The Turlu is amazing, and there's a very large and diverse veg app platter.“
“The food is great, and they have several interesting dishes on the menu that I haven't seen at other Mediterranean places. The ambiance is pretty nice, too (it used to be super brightly lit, but they’ve since fixed that and placed small lamps on each table, which makes for a super cozy vibe)“
“The wait staff is very attentive to ur needs as a customer & efficient the dish prices are what expect in SV but well worth it all food was fresh tasted top notch???. So for our starters we ordered the Cold Sampler Plate- Pita Bread, 5 dips Tzatziki, Hummus, Dolma, Babba Ghanoush, Kalamatiano, Melitzanosalata; 4 Cheese Tiropita made a little Unorthodox to the usual Croissant dough instead of Pilo dough tasted fabulous-Feta,Goat, Parmesan, Mozzarella Cheese. ? Gyro Plate-Lamb,Beef,Red Onion, Tzatziki, Salad, Rice scoop, the meat was cooked to perfection ???. Must Try then review it if you closer to authentic Greek Food come here forget bout Sultana down the street.Parking: Lots of free parking Downtown MP.“
“Got a to-go falafel wrap. It was good, with some pickled veg inside and crisp lettuce. Only thing missing was a napkin. Guess I should’ve gotten one before leaving, but I assumed they were included in the bag. No hot / pepper sauce, which I had hoped for.“
“For Valentine's Day we dined at Urfa Bistro and as always, we were thoroughly impressed. The meal started with warm, soft bread accompanied by a delicious olive infused dipping oil bursting with flavor. For the main course, we had the Rib Eye dish, perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection, accompanied by garden vegetables, mashed potatoes and Bearnaise sauce. Each bite was a delicious delight. The friendly staff, attentive service, cozy ambiance and rose for every female guest added to the overall experience, making it a memorable dining outing. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone craving authentic and satisfying Mediterranean cuisine. It's a fabulous restaurant.“
“I've been ordering food from Asma for the past 2-years, and we can not stop ordering! The food the authentic, delicious and its hard to find same food menu or the quality elsewhere. Our favorite items of the menu are: mombar, grilled beef kofta, chicken pane, hawawshi, and macarona bechamel.Vegetarian options: Koshary, falafel, mousakka, and moreDietary restrictions: Halal“

“While in the Los Altos downtown, we were looking for a spot to eat and found this on Yelp. It was a nice find. We enjoyed the food on the hot day and sat outside under the umbrellas on the benches. I ordered a greek salad with chicken and it was very good and fresh. It came with few pieces of bread on the side. The service was great. I would recommend!“
“I had the chicken masala with rice and it came with a potato and I believe Greek salad? Something like that it was an entree at lunch and it was outstanding. I've driven by this place a million times and never stopped and my car was getting repaired across the street and I finally made it inside and was not disappointed. The gentleman that runs the place is very very nice. The food was enough to fill me up which you don't see often sometimes these days. I would recommend it absolutely.“

“Seriously, and I don’t take this lightly, this is my favorite Shawarma place in the bay. The staff is so friendly sometimes when you go into a place, you just feel like somebody is there for the paycheck, however, these guys lived in breathe Shawarma.I’d go here for dinner, lunch, a quick snack, really any use case. This is a must stop by. Bring your friends bring your family.I recommend this restaurant“

“One of my go to places. Must try Brizola in the restaurant - super juicy pork chop. The food is good and the portions are generous. Staff are friendly. There is a 4 protein sampler plate - Pikilia plate. I usually order it for 5 - 6 people.... That tells you the portion.“
“Sajj Mediterranean exceeded all expectations with their build-your-own plate option! The food quality is exceptional, and one bowl is definitely more than enough for a satisfying meal. The falafel was a standout, bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. As for their drinks, the special mint lemonade and strawberry lemonade were incredibly fresh and flavorful, but the mint stole the show for me. Additionally, the Valentine's Day decorations added a lovely touch to the ambiance during our visit. Highly recommend Sajj Mediterranean for a delicious and refreshing dining experience!“
“The new Cetrella location is the shining star in the Los Altos culinary scene. Great ambience and the food is Michelin quality- exceptionally fresh ingredients with a skilled chef who really knows Mediterranean flavors. As always, owner Mamet is attentive and engaging. Best meal we've had in months!!! “
“Great food! Ordered at the counter and sat for dinner. My mom enjoyed her chicken and salad. I really liked my tortellini with chicken. Foccida bread was good! Felt compelled to order a pizza to go after seeing how they were making it so fresh. SO glad we did. Marg Pizza was so good!“
“We catered a meal for 100 people for a big event this past weekend, and I worked with Ashvee to make this happen. First of all, she was wonderful and super helpful. The food was ready on time, huge portions and the meal was amazing. The chicken shawarma was excellent!! We had so many people compliment the food. The falafel was delicious and the sauces (Tzatziki, Lemony Tahini Sauce and Spicy Sauce) were so good. I don't even live in PA but I am definitely making the drive down to get more of it. Thank you Ashvee and RMK - great job! Can't wait to come back.“
