“If you really need a true north Indian food flavor, taste and balance of spices, that crispy, slightly charred naan, just try it here once, you will never go back to any other restaurant. It’s a big statement to make but this could be very best of Indian food I may have tasted in here so far. I just pray and wish these guys to plz plz maintain same taste, standards and service. If possible please come to NC, Raleigh. Anyone who have not tasted a real makkhan with alloo kulcha ( the one with curd and cholay in picture), your life will change its course, after tasting this combo. You will remember your life before and after this experience. I am full but cant stop eating. Have a flight to catch, else will eat everyday here. I just pray we meet again. “I was driving by Sunset Indian Cuisine, and stopped by to check the restaurant out. To say everything exceeded my expectations is understatement, Food was delicious and generous portion, and ate all of it ( usually I would not eat full but it was impossible to stop eating). Inside is very cozy and warm, and this will be my place from now on to eat. 12 out of 10 would recommend this gem“

the surprise was the hyderabadi vegetable mix w apricots - delicious

the naan was my fav coz i’m so picky about naans. It’s light but not too light. Naan should have some weight to it and the flakiness comes from the top crust.

“Our daughter found Rose Indian Cuisine on Google Reviews and we were so glad that she did! Great location near the Golden Gate Botanical Gardens. This place was one of the best meals we had during our vacation. We had a cauliflower dish, Gobi Manchurian. Honestly the most delicious cauliflower dish eaten; it was gone before the other appetizers arrived!!! The entrees were also tasty and the naan beyond fabulous. The meal ended with chai tea. Highly recommend dining here for delicious food and spectacular service!!“

“It’s my first time getting Indian food in San Francisco, and I was very satisfied with eating at Noe Indian Cuisine.

Our server Subi was very friendly, kind, and sweet. The food (samosa, chicken tikka masala, chicken biriyani, naan) was all delicious and freshly cooked. The two of us really enjoyed all of the food and had nothing left on our plates.

“Came here for dinner yesterday and honestly had such a great time. The vibe is really chill but still feels upscale, love that combo. Great place to catch up with friends or a date night with your special one.

Everything we ordered was delicious, but here are the highlights:
Fried chicken - crispy, juicy, great flavor. Simple but done really well.
Rasa sliders - these are a MUST. So buttery and perfectly seasoned, we were obsessed.
White elephant butter paper dosa - another must-get! Super fun to eat and the dosa itself is perfectly crispy. The real move is trying it with all the different sauces, each one hits differently.
Duck - loved the balance of rice, meat and veggies. Nothing overdone, just really well put together.

Finished with the coconut puma for dessert and it was such a good call. Perfect way to end the meal. Would def come back to this hidden gem​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​“

“Clay Oven is our go-to Indian restaurant. Food is really delicious! We usually order a couple of Chicken Tikka Masala (mild and med spicy), Rogan Josh, Naan and some rice. I like their mango lassi too. The staff is really friendly and kind to our kids. Highly recommended!“

“Been eating here basically since it opened. Used to be another Indian place that I frequented but when Tilak took over, the food took a leap up.

It's still one of the best Indian restaurants in the city. Easily. Everything is so good and flavorful... from basics like dahl and butter chicken to more unusual dishes like masala lamb racks and goan prawns. If something on the menu looks a bit unusual, that you don't recognize from other Indian places, I recommend going for it.

Tilak himself and the rest of the staff are friendly and awesome, but the food... Just great stuff all the way down the menu.

So, yeah, easily my favorite Indian place in SF and the place we've been doing our company holiday dinner for the last five or six years.“

“The Chicken Achar and Egg curry were authentic in their flavor. The Onion naan was soft and fluffy oozing freshness and flavor. We were amazed by the quality of food, given how often we get disappointed choosing an Indian restaurant based on reviews. Just tried the falafel plate at **Halal Shop San Francisco** and OMG — it’s next-level delicious! 😍 The falafels were perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside, and that creamy white sauce with the spicy red drizzle took it to another dimension 🔥🔥🔥! The rice was fluffy, the salad was super fresh, and the whole plate looked like a piece of art 😋💚

The vibes were great, service was fast, and everything tasted 100% fresh and halal 🕌✨

Our friends picked this place and we dropped in for a late night quick bite after their long flight, and it turned out to be a really good choice.

The Brussels sprouts were tasty, though a little heavy on the fried onions.

We had a small mix-up on our side with the Manchurian and realized it was chicken, not gobi. No fault of the restaurant!

My favorite was the pan-fried paneer momos—really good. Our friends enjoyed the chicken momos, and we also tried the black salt soda, with the black salt on the side first just to experiment ;)

“This restaurant food is much more better than other Pakistani Indian restaurants all around the US. Chicken biryani & seekh kabob was so delicious authentic Pakistani flavor specially the Tea which is so so so good like Pakistani famous Pathan’s tea and we never had an experience before this in US. “Wanted to like this place more. Dosa Box is one of the ghost kitchens in San Mateo Food Mall. Ordered from the website for pick up. You get a text when it's ready, go inside and check in with the worker who is at the desk. They open the locker for you where the food is placed.

Our dosas were completely soggy. Would have been very good if it was still crispy. Although it makes sense that dosa would not be a good take out item. They could've poked holes in the box or put the masala potatoes separate instead of inside the dosa to maintain crispiness.

Also just a note if anyone was wondering, the masala dosa comes with sambar (since the menu is not clear about that).“
