“Great Sunset neighborhood Indian/Pakistani restaurant. Friendly service. Accommodates my spice shy palate. Recently introduced thali lunch boxes perfect for single diners. Reasonable prices.“

“Highly highly recommend. It’s hard for us to go to the city without stopping here to eat, we love bringing new friends here as well. If you love Indian food, this is a great place.
Vegetarian options: There’s a large vegetarian section and they are familiar with vegan and we’re even careful to warn me that one of the items I ordered is not vegan“

“Noe Indian Cuisine is top notch in every way! We stopped here for our lunch during our bachelorette weekend with six of us, and we were in a hurry to get to our next activity. They took our orders right away, brought the drinks and food quickly, and all of it tasted incredibly delicious, hot, and fresh. Not only that, but they brought all the boxes we needed too. Honestly, this is the best and speediest service I have ever seen at a sit down restaurant. If I'm ever back in San Francisco, I will be coming back!“

“Castro Indian Restaurant and Bar exceeded all expectations! The cocktails were expertly crafted by a talented bartender, each one bursting with unique flavors. Our server was fantastic—attentive, warm, and knowledgeable, adding a personal touch to the evening. The ambiance was both cozy and chic, making it the perfect spot for a night out. Can’t wait to return for more delicious food and amazing service!“

“Tara is the best North Indian in San Francisco for its price point of ~$15 per entree. The level of effort and attention to detail represents exceptional value. Case in point, the tamarind sauce (provided with the mint chutney and chili sauce for the papadum) is mixed with subtle spices to cut the tartness, has a consistency that clings perfectly to the papadum, neither too thick nor too watery). Their curries all have distinct character, with specialty spice blends. Their meats are all good cuts and tenderly stewed. And their naans flavorful and freshly baked. You will not be disappointed if you dine in the restaurant, in fact, food prepared with this much care deserves to be enjoyed fresh.“

“Place was old, blue on the outside, sign was really small and only on one side of the building...doesnt look inviting. Place could have been cleaner.
Food was good. I wanted spicy, the really spicy dosa wasn't spicy...that is why it's 4 star for food
Phone service wasn't all that great but they were really nice in person.“

“I've had this place on my "to-eat in sf" list for a while now and was finally able to enjoy it. I brought a Nepali friend wit me as well and she loved it just as much as I did.
The server was very kind and attentive and did his best to always make sure we were doing well. My friend spoke to the two servers in Nepali and was happy to be able to use her native language with the locals in the city. This is also how we found out that the restaurant owner is probably from Nepal which is what made the food so delicious and a great mix of Indian and Nepali flavors.
The chicken momo was the first thing that came out and was visually beautiful and the flavors were truly outstanding to the point of it being some of the best momo I've tried in the bay. The chutney that accompanied it was so good my friend made sure to leave the container clean.
My lamb vindaloo was again some of the best I've had. Not too spicy and not too mild. That along withe the cheese garlic naan was delicious and worty of another trip back.
The chicken biryani my friend ordered was just as delicious as the rest of the foods and I would've loved to have more of it but I was stuffed with everything else!
Cannot recommend this place enough. It's a must try!“

“extremely bad tasting food and bizzare combinations....miffed at kichadi like biryani with no flavour and being served with aam ka achar....god knows how this restaurant got Michelin star rating ....Shame on the chefs and the owners for ripping off the customers with overpricing of the food for poor service, absence of any ambience or decor“

“This is my partner and I’s most visited restaurant in SF. It’s got great pricing, phenomenal flavors, gluten free accommodations (gf naan!!), and a warm group of people working there. We go there when we’re happy and we go there when we’re sad. Absolutely 10/10
Dietary restrictions: Plenty of gluten free options :)“

“The people that work here are super friendly and hospitable. They knew me by name after the first visit and were extremely accommodating, even when ordering food like 15 min to closing. The food is also very good. We picked up food from here 3x in one week. ? The "mild" is definitely more like white people medium, but the flavor is very good. The stand out dishes we've had so far are the masala fries, butter chicken, and chicken biryani. It's also a good amount of food for the price in my opinion. Highly recommend this place!“

“Truly phenomenal flavor. Never been to this place in person but I doordash from here often and the quality and taste of the food is just out of this world. I could only imagine how good this would be fresh in person. If you haven't tried this place, you're missing out! My personal favorites and recommendations are the tandoori fish, butter chicken, and fish biryani.“

“We stopped there on our way to catch our flight at SF airport. We were short on time and we placed our order. Our server was fantastic helping us to order and we were served our dinner promptly. There was a feeling that all the staff worked together as a team, looking after all the tables not just their own station. That is a sign of true teamwork. We really enjoyed our dinner there. Food and service~ EXCELLENT!“

“Start with this fact that this place has changed name, so don't look for Bon AppeTikka.Given the number of Indian nationals eating here and the huge amount of take out deliveries occurring, there's solid demand for this shopThe meal (3 main courses) was fine as far as it goes. My problem was that there was nothing about the food that makes me go "wow!!". It's nice food, it's freshly prepared but it's just nice. There's no va va va wow there“

“The food here was delicious! The lamb was tender and full of flavor and spices. The garlic naan bread was soft and full of garlic. Nice portions of food for the price and very fresh. Service was great and the gentleman was very attentive. Very quiet as this restaurant is still fairly new but very clean and nice decor.“

“I like the food here - it's all of a pretty high standard. The dahi puri chaat and channa masala are particularly good. Service is very friendly but for some reason, food takes forever even when they're not busy. The space is not great, and given the speed of service, takeout may be the better option here.“

“Imagine succulent chicken in a savory curry. Spiced to your palate on a late weekend night! Now Imagine soft and warm pliablenaan and you dip or scoop that warm tasty curry into your mouth. Are you watering right now?
I've only done to go here but my mind tells me to always go back. The 1st time I had Tikka Masada and a week later butter chicken. Damn! I'm salivating right now. OPEN LATE, reasonable priced, delicious is a sorry word. You will not be disappointed. I don't give 5 stars to just any place. Look at my record. I just give credit where it's do.
Damn so Good!“

“As we entered the restaurant, there were no guests. We still chose it for dinner.
The restaurant is family run.
The food was delicious, we had the Chicken Makhanwala (butter chicken) and garlic Naan bread. Be careful, the rice is not included, you have to order it separately for 4$. They gave us free tap water.
The service could be better, the young lady only came to take the orders and serve the food.
We got free wifi.
The price is a little high for the amount you get but I would still recommend going there!“

“I ordered food to go from Doordash so can’t tell much about the in house experience but wow it didn’t disappoint. Food was fresh and tasted great. I got the Mexican pizza and the flavor was amazing. The lemon pepper chicken nuggets actually tasted like lemon and peppers for once. Great place and they are open until late to satisfy the late night cravings.“

“The restaurant was pretty nice and served tasty food. We ordered Chicken 65, Chicken tikka and Gobi Manchurian as starters and it was actually good. For the mains, we ordered three types of biriyani. While the gongura mutton and the Deccan chicken biriyani were nice, we did not like the Uluvacharu Paneer Biriyani. The service was fast and the place was clean“

I'll be trying their other foods far the taste is good! Their naan breads are huge! The biryani chicken & lamb ? super good it feeds 2 to 3 people! Their menu for the tiki masala w/ a drink is also good to try! I'll be back for their desserts ? & I'll do an update on those! So far quick service & good eats.“

“This was the very first restaurant my girlfriend and I tried as soon as we landed in San Francisco and it did not disappoint whatsoever! The food was so flavorful and the vibe on a Wednesday afternoon was full of ambiance yet very hospitable. The food was fast and well made. The self serve drink station had sealed pitchers of water you can take to your table which is awesome because personally i don’t like depending on a server to refill my water. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and the lamb biryani with the garlic naan. The food was very appetizing and full of flavor with a touch of pungency. Highly recommend!“

“I ordered the punjabi prawn curry ( mild). It' so tasty. The store removes all the black suff from the backs of the prawn, otherwise it would take me a long time to remove it and my hands would get dirty. The chair is very comfortable. If you want to try indian food, this restaurant is a good choice.“

“Wasn't a fan the first time though the cousins were. Enjoyed it much more the second time.
The first time we got medium spice for most of our dishes and was really struggling. So the second time we got mostly mild. But the mild had no spice at all. Would love if there was an in between spice level.
* Papadi Chaat - medium spice. Crispy. Cold. Didn't know there were spice levels for chaat. This is not a main menu item but instead a special we saw taped at the counter. Would get again
* Aloo Tikka Chaat - medium spice. Mixes really well with the papadi chaat
* Chicken Vindaloo (mild) & Lamb Vindaloo (medium) - both the vindaloo sauce came out tasting completely different. We don't know if it's because of the spice level or the fats from the proteins but it was different. We enjoyed the lamb vindaloo more.
* Chicken korma (mild) - good
* Paneer tikka masala (mild) - favorite but would have liked a little spice
* Chicken biryani (mild) - good
* Garlic naan - have garlicy. Not too oily. Crispy.
All curries comes with rice if you ask for it.
There are specials on the counter.
Free endless chai.“
