This gem is tucked away in a strip mall off the Main Street and it’s a portal to fine dining. The ambiance was so intimate and calm I could absolutely see it as a perfect setting for a girls night, or rehearsal dinner for wedding parties or just a nice date night out where the food is the star and the company is stellar. Located in a nondescript San Bruno strip mall (which assures easy parking), inside Hapa is an oasis of elegance and calm. A jazz trio playing in the background never competed with conversation. Lovely, intimate setting with few tables and gentle romantic ambiance. Really appreciated that the Menu was preset as I always have problems picking items. My favorite from the Menu was the flank steak, cooked to perfection.
Also, service was fast and attentive. The owner's son was our waiter and he made sure our water was refilled on time.
