“What a lovely find! Han Sang is a welcoming Korean restaurant serving beautifully prepared, authentic food.

I ordered the Combo Suyuk and the Han Sang Guk Bap, and both were fantastic. The beef was beautifully tender, and the spicy soup was rich, comforting, and packed with flavour. You can really appreciate the care that goes into the cooking.

The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.

Beautiful food, genuine hospitality, and a lovely atmosphere. Exactly the kind of restaurant you hope to discover when exploring somewhere new.

“Authentic korean food! Very happy to find this restaurant as I visit SFO for work quite often. Nothing fancy but the food here tastes just like homemade mom's food. The portion was very generous with a variety of side dishes. The staffs were very kind, attentive and courteous. I can't wait for my next visit already.“

“Solid Korean and Chinese food Restaurant. My husband and I favorite food is their spicy marinated raw crab so addicting and delicious. We usually order the crispy garlic scallops, HK noodles and crispy garlic string beans. So far majority of their food has been really good and tasty. All the staff are friendly and courteous. “2025: New owner. Marilyn sold the restaurant. I noticed my regular items like grilled mackerel and shrimp & vegetable TKim fry were no longer on the new menu. Then I noticed the wall specials were gone. Also, the article featuring Marilyn Lee in Ingleside was removed. Wait a minute, am I in the wrong restaurant? I asked the waitress and she said the restaurant got sold and is now under new ownership. Marilyn was always cool to me. I will miss her food.

Tonight's soft tofu stew, seafood $18 was OK. The beef option is no longer available. It is only pork seafood or vegetables now. The new menu is heavily truncated. No more 2 item combos, house specials like stir fried ramen or sandwiches. Previously, the banchan (little Korean dishes), included sprouts, potatoes and broccoli. Those are gone too. I only got cucumbers, tofu and the red cabbage.

New waitress seems OK. Nice but inattentive. People were walking up to pay because she was on the phone. Perhaps it was later in the evening and she had to finish up her closing tasks.

Updated review 10/27/2021: Go Go7 is still awesome. I love the little dishes of kimchi they serve before the meal. Tonight, I really wanted ramen but 21 Taste House down the block was closed for some reason. To satisfy my ramen craving, I ordered Go Go 7's stir fry ramen with bulgogi $12. The dish was huge and it almost made me regret ordering the deep fry shrimp and vegetable appetizer $8. I tried but could not finish it all. I had to take 1/2 of my food to go. Great job Go Go 7! This restaurant is an important part of the Ocean Ave. dining community.

Original review: Indoor dining 5/28/2021. Go Go 7 is a popular Korean restaurant. There was a parade of to-go pickup orders. All I heard were people ordering their two item combos. It is perfect if you don't want to do family style and still want a variety of items. The portions are perfect if you don't want a lot of leftovers in your fridge the next day. Tonight I had their bulgogi (marinated beef) sandwich $10 and grilled tofu $5. You don't usually see sandwiches at a traditional Korean BBQ restaurant. The bread was soft and it tasted great. The sandwich was not too dry or soggy and very flavorful. I enjoyed their little plates of kimchi. The bean spouts and the imitation crab with cucumber is a must try item. I liked it because you have something to munch on while they made my grill tofu appetizer and sandwich. They stayed open throughout the pandemic last year, even through that weird period when we had the curfews. I appreciated that. Guys like me had a really hard time looking for restaurants that were open. Great job everyone at Go Go 7. Love you guys!“

“I love this place! I come here all the time to do homework. The menu is well rounded, the noodle plates are bomb. They're always served fresh and hot. As a sago lover, their mixed fruit flavor is one of the best, you have to try it if you're a fan of boba vibes and want to try something new. The staff is always friendly and they're open late. I shared a bingsu for the first time and it was a fun experience all around. This is genuinely one of my favorite places in West Portal.“

“Really enjoyed our dinner here! We skipped the famous sampler platter since we weren’t super hungry and just ordered a few things that sounded good.
- The beef tongue was a bit chewier than I expected - definitely had to work at it.
- Oxtail stew was tasty but they went a little heavy on the green onions.
- Pork jowl had great flavor and that nice fatty richness, though I wish it had been a touch more tender.
- Whole marinated short rib was absolutely incredible. So tender and juicy, honestly the star of the show.

Worth coming back for that alone. Good meal overall with one dish that really knocked it out of the park!“

“I had the Yukgaejang (육개장), and it was outstanding! The broth was rich, deeply flavorful, and had just the right amount of spice. The shredded beef was tender and plentiful, and the fresh vegetables added great texture. I especially liked that the noodles were served on the side, so I could add them when I wanted. The banchan (side dishes) were fresh and complemented the meal perfectly. If you’re looking for authentic Korean comfort food, I highly recommend the Yukgaejang here. “The portions were huge, which is great because you get your money's worth. If that's your thing. I thought the bibimbap in the stone pot was great. My spouse thought her soup was a bit salty. The pancake was good.

“The Korner Store is a private event space now. I sent an inquiry in for a Saturday night booking, and received prompt response with a quote and some options. There's a minimum food and drink amount. I coordinated a walk through of the space and made a deposit!

The hosts and owners (Ina and Nick) are incredibly helpful throughout the booking and night of the event. My ~40 guests enjoyed the Korean food and full bar. We had a fantastic time in the private space. The venue has tv screens, music inputs, DJ and dance area, karaoke, and an optional photobooth. I highly recommend considering The Korner Store for your next event.“

“At around 8pm, there aren't a lot of choices for Korean food. My urge for some Korean tofu soup brought me to Kukje Market Restaurant. My order was the #3, soft tofu soup combo, beef, clams and shrimps $20. This was a small soup served on boiling hot stoneware. It took about 15 minutes of waiting before I was able to enjoy this without burning my mouth. The highlight for me was the little Korean banchan side dishes and how it goes well with the bowl of rice. In terms of service, the waiter was more interested in talking to his co-workers and doom scrolling on his phone as it was the end of the day. At least the food came out fast.“

“Among the food court options at Hmart, I can only recommend two places: Daeho Galbijjim and Hong Kong Banjum. I’ve tried food from the other spots, but I wouldn’t recommend them. Especially Jung Bunsik—maybe it’s best to stay away from there!

Jajangmyeon and Jjamppong are truly the soul food of Koreans, aren’t they? I love both, but in San Francisco, it’s hard to find places that do them well consistently. The taste often varies too much. That’s why Hong Kong Banjum, with its reliably consistent flavor, is my top pick.

“Grocery-store side only: I hadn't shopped here since before they opened the downstairs area and what an ordeal I had today - I found everything I needed for the next few days to make bbq, bibimbap, and noodle dishes in the shop. All the produce was A+ and I even found the different ramyuns I was looking for (massive ramen aisle). The staff was hella helpful and friendly to help me find things except for one lady. The Auntie cashiers were super kind and sweet and as they were checking out my groceries, engaged in cute conversation over me learning Korean and my affinity for kpop. I forgot my H-Mart card but she said to come back with it and my receipt to get credit. I went to my car to load my groceries only to realize I dropped my car keys somewhere in the store! Luckily for me, some kind soul returned it to the Customer Service desk where I was able to get it. Thank you H-Mart staff! <3 (Next time I'll spend more time checking out the downstairs.)“

“Found this when I look for Korean restaurant that serve noodle soup. This restaurant is next to hospital which I think in a good location. Next to it is boba shop which I saw some customer went to the the boba shop after their meals.
The interior is very simple, with couple tables and the dishes photo all over the wall which looks inviting.
The menu is pretty complete with many varieties of Korean dishes. We order Spicy Seafood noodle soup and Stir fried noodles with black bean sauce.
They give 3 type of banchan, daikon, beansprout and kimchi. The kimchi is sweet and later I saw it is from a big jar that you can get from grocery store. I wish they make it fresh in the restaurant. At least if have it from jar, don't show the jar.
The noddle soup is yummy but not spicy. the Stir fried noodle is served with hot iron plate. the presentation is good but I just feel it is too sweet.
The server is very nice and very energetic. Only one server serves all the tables.
Overall it was ok meals. May be next time we will try other dishes and wish they make the kimchi in house.“

“Family friendly spot with delicious food that arrives fairly quickly. It's surprisingly affordable given how comfortable the restaurant seating is. I love getting the small side dish of jampong (red soup) since I can't finish the entree version myself. Also a great spot for groups since the dining area is really large. We always get the Jajangmyeung, Jamppong (spicy soup), and the fried pork or chicken.“

“Stopped in twice now. Small restaurant/bar. Ordered tofu stew, bossam, and of course KFC. Overall food is excellent. I really like the bossam here and I've tried both the beef and pork, I think I prefer the pork. KFC is crispy and moist.. Mandu is crunchy. Portion is good. Price is average for Korean. Small menu but what they have is good. Staff is always friendly. It can get a bit loud though.“

“Earlier this week on Sunday, I was craving some Korean fried Chicken, which I never had before. I did a search on Google and came across Bonchon in San Mateo. The first experience I had, I was not happy with my order because it was not accurate. I ordered an 8 piece, but only received a 4 piece and because it’s through a 3rd party nothing could be done. I decided on Monday I would order this time directly from the restaurant. Everything worked out, and I have to tell you even though my order was not right the first time? This did not take away from the quality of the food. I ordered the drumsticks extra crunch? No sauce, and the first time I ordered with fried rice, both were excellent. The seasoning, it was rich with flavor, and I have absolutely no complaints. The second time on Monday I ordered the same chicken a 4 piece, the corn with the mayonnaise, cheese and red pepper flakes, with a side of steamed rice. Everything was just perfect. I’m not kidding you it’s taking everything in me to control myself from ordering more today, and it’s just Tuesday. It’s just that good! Whoever the chefs are, you can taste the love in their cooking, it’s not just thrown together. There is Love in their food, and know this because my Mom’s food is just the same. Every bite is good. I don’t say these things lightly when it comes to restaurants. There’s not too many that impress me like this. All I can say is keep the love in your food, and don’t change the quality even if you have a million customers, don’t change your food. 5/5 for me, it’s a must try if you love fried chicken or Korean food. I don’t have pictures this time, maybe next time if I can upload I will. The chicken is so crunchy that even when it’s cold it’s still good and crunchy and not soggy.
