“I have been a many times, usually when I am craving for some Korean food or just want something easy. It is located at the right side when you enter the supermarket, most of the times there is not a wait. Their menu consists of appetizers, authentic Korean dishes, specialty wings, soups, beverages, etc. I have never encountered an issue here thanks to their welcoming, well trained and understanding staffs. Everything is pretty much made to order which is always a plus for me and I never mind the wait since I am a very patient person. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a Korean spot, if you want to try something new or if you want a laid back spot to dine at. I definitely will be back to tryout the other delicious options they have to offer.“

“Great late night spot. Korean chicken, so, so good! Had the spicy noodle soup with mussels, shrimp and squid, really hit the spot. Large portion had to take half to go. I will definitely go back. Atmosphère is basic cafetería tables and booths, very food court like feel. Don't let the atmosphere deter you from visiting this late night chicken and soup spot.“

“Entrance is through Kukje, which explains how this restaurant can have the biggest menu, fresh ingredients, and just about everything available in takeout packaging. This is a must try, especially if you plan on eating before shopping. I have many memories of reluctantly spending time at Korean grocery stores growing up. Now as a parent, I look forward to sharing this nostalgia with my kids!“
“great korean bbq plates. I usually get the beef bulgogi or the spicy pork.“
“As someone who visits San Francisco often, this was already my third time dining at Pogu—and it never disappoints.
I came with family and friends for dinner, and from the moment we walked in, we were impressed. The restaurant is elegant and spotless, and the staff’s warmth and professionalism immediately stood out.
From the first bite, every dish was beautifully prepared and deeply satisfying. It was a refined, high-end Korean dining experience—something that’s hard to find even in Los Angeles.
Chef Cindy personally came out to introduce the dishes and check that everything was perfect, which we truly appreciated. Her attentiveness made the evening even more special.
Exceptional quality, reasonable pricing, and consistently outstanding. We’ll definitely be back!“

“We ordered this via Doordash on a whim because we were craving it.
The jajjangmyeon was one of the best that I had =)
The jjamppong was very unique with half a crab included. It was delicious, but a bit too spicy for me.
We can't give a comment on service/atmosphere but we were very satisfied with our meal. Definitely would visit again in store to try it fresh on the spot!!“

“Daeho Kalbijjim & Beef Soup in San Francisco is a standout for authentic Korean comfort food, especially their signature premium kalbijjim—a massive, shareable braised short rib dish packed with deep, rich flavor that’s easily enough for more than two people and well worth the slightly higher price; the bibimbap is also solid, though the meat portion can feel a bit underwhelming even when paying extra, but overall it remains a go-to spot for hearty, satisfying Korean cuisine in SF.“

“This restaurant is located on Balboa and 4th Ave with a variety of Korean dishes at an affordable price. It is well known by the locals. The food is tasty and has a well balanced Korean flavor. The seafood and kimchi pancakes are one of their signature dishes. Highly recommend their chapchae and pulgogi or marinated meat dish.
The staff is very friendly and go above and beyond l , ,whether it is crowded or slow they will always help you to serve the food in a timely manner.
Highly recommend this restaurant for families and small groups.
It gets very crowded during the weekend and you may have to wait to be seated.“

“2025: New owner. Marilyn sold the restaurant. I noticed my regular items like grilled mackerel and shrimp & vegetable TKim fry were no longer on the new menu. Then I noticed the wall specials were gone. Also, the article featuring Marilyn Lee in Ingleside was removed. Wait a minute, am I in the wrong restaurant? I asked the waitress and she said the restaurant got sold and is now under new ownership. Marilyn was always cool to me. I will miss her food.
Tonight's soft tofu stew, seafood $18 was OK. The beef option is no longer available. It is only pork seafood or vegetables now. The new menu is heavily truncated. No more 2 item combos, house specials like stir fried ramen or sandwiches. Previously, the banchan (little Korean dishes), included sprouts, potatoes and broccoli. Those are gone too. I only got cucumbers, tofu and the red cabbage.
New waitress seems OK. Nice but inattentive. People were walking up to pay because she was on the phone. Perhaps it was later in the evening and she had to finish up her closing tasks.
Updated review 10/27/2021: Go Go7 is still awesome. I love the little dishes of kimchi they serve before the meal. Tonight, I really wanted ramen but 21 Taste House down the block was closed for some reason. To satisfy my ramen craving, I ordered Go Go 7's stir fry ramen with bulgogi $12. The dish was huge and it almost made me regret ordering the deep fry shrimp and vegetable appetizer $8. I tried but could not finish it all. I had to take 1/2 of my food to go. Great job Go Go 7! This restaurant is an important part of the Ocean Ave. dining community.
Original review: Indoor dining 5/28/2021. Go Go 7 is a popular Korean restaurant. There was a parade of to-go pickup orders. All I heard were people ordering their two item combos. It is perfect if you don't want to do family style and still want a variety of items. The portions are perfect if you don't want a lot of leftovers in your fridge the next day. Tonight I had their bulgogi (marinated beef) sandwich $10 and grilled tofu $5. You don't usually see sandwiches at a traditional Korean BBQ restaurant. The bread was soft and it tasted great. The sandwich was not too dry or soggy and very flavorful. I enjoyed their little plates of kimchi. The bean spouts and the imitation crab with cucumber is a must try item. I liked it because you have something to munch on while they made my grill tofu appetizer and sandwich. They stayed open throughout the pandemic last year, even through that weird period when we had the curfews. I appreciated that. Guys like me had a really hard time looking for restaurants that were open. Great job everyone at Go Go 7. Love you guys!“

“Absolutely loved this place. The spicy pork with rice was fantastic — the addition of glass noodles was something I’d never seen before, but it worked incredibly well and was such a pleasant surprise. The ddeokbokki had the perfect slightly sweet flavor that I personally love, while still having a nice kick.
The kimbap was also excellent, especially paired with the spicy mayo sauce that came with it — such a good combination. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and comforting. Great portions, great value, and an overall great experience. Will definitely be coming back!“

“We’re so happy to have checked out this lovely place!
Family run with pride and care, delicious (!!!) food, super nice service and squeaky clean! Seriously, not a speck of dust to be found.
We were both impressed with the super juicy and tender chicken, shrimp (cooked to perfection) and beef, super flavorful fried rice and portion sizes 🤯🤯🤯 we’ll have leftover for a few days!
The folks working the place are so nice and take such great care of the cafe.
We’ll be back and we’ll bring friends and family!“

“Great food. An amazing way to end an evening out in Japantown. The Soy Garlic wings were very crispy, crunchy on the outside. The meat itself was flavorful and juicy. My girlfriend said it was the best she ever had. The Galbi Steak was also great. I recommend paying the extra $5 for the lettuce wraps and samjang. Overall, I had a great time & great date with my girlfriend. I felt the food was worth the price.“

“Super yum sushi-to-go, fresh at 10:45am, this was a lovely surprise for a late breakfast/early lunch when I just stopped in to warm up with a coffee. Kimbap on Tuesdays and Thursdays can’t wait to try that!!! Also they have what looks like a great quick-serve menu of Korean kimbap shop staples like dolsot bibimbap and galbi set menus. Great surprise!!! Musubi looked awesome too. Coffee was hot, fresh and perfect strength. Bonus hazelnut flavored and decaf also. Nice neighbourhood vibe, tables chatting to each other about sports and local news, owners seemed super cool. Good hot breakfast menu. What a lovely find on my emergency de-icing stop in!!! Will be back!!“

“I visited this place with my sister during one of our outings in San Francisco. We got there around 2:30 pm on a Saturday and the place was pretty full. But lucky for us, there was people leaving right when we got there so we immediately got a table and head to the counter to place our order.
What we ordered:
☕ Black Sesame Latte • 9/10
A very well-made Black Sesame Latte. Not too sweet and comforting. Will definitely order again next time.
🍹 Raspberry Omija Soda • 9/10
Very refreshing drink. The cream on top was delicious—not too thick and sweet—and complimented the raspberry soda really well. Could probably have that cream with any other drinks if I’m being honest.
🥪 Umami Kimchi Panini • 9.5/10
This was our first time having a Kimchi Panini and we both agreed it was really good. Bursts of Korean flavors in every bite and super flavorful. It was very well executed, delicious and the portion was pretty generous too. Although maybe worth mentioning, it was a tad spicy for me who can’t really eat spicy food (that kimchi really had a pretty spicy kick for me) but it was fine for my sister who can.
Also, met the owner, Esther, during our visit and she was super nice and friendly and helped us with menu recommendations. If you’re looking for a dessert cafe in San Francisco/Hayes Valley area with unique Korean flavors, this place is definitely worth trying.“

“We had a wonderful lunch at sonamu on Sunday. We ordered sellotang, Galbi and Kimchi jigae. We arrived there slightly before closing time but they still serve high quality meals and service is 10/10. Server Hauk is attentive and refill BanChan for us as well. We’ve been there couple times and still my favorite is Kimchi jigaeeee!! Also they give korean bean paste and lettuce for Galbi.
The best homemade authentic korean food in Richmond area!!!“

“K Soul Chicken is the perfect place for a little Korean fried chicken and snacks pick me up! Their chicken is fried to perfection, and offer so many different flavors. Posted right along Polk St, so it is the perfect place to get the party started over a little beer & casual dinner with friends before hitting up the bars. Aside from the fried chicken, the bbq pork plate and mandu were also delicious and filling. They’ve been serving the community for 35 years, and the owner is so kind and welcoming. Definitely hit them up if you’re in the mood for some delicious KFC & Korean staples.“

“The fog in the Inner Sunset doesn’t just roll in; it conducts a hostile takeover of your morale. It’s the kind of damp, bone-deep San Francisco cold that makes a man reconsider his loyalties and start confessing to crimes he only thought about committing. I was marooned on Irving Street, dodging the screech of the N-Judah and seeking a safe house. I found it at Manna. From the outside, it’s an unassuming storefront, the kind of joint that doesn’t need a neon sign to prove it knows its business. Inside, they offer a very specific, beautiful paradox: a modest, softly lit dining room that serves weaponized heat.
Before the main event, the table is populated by the banchan—small, cold side dishes of fermented defiance. Radishes with a sharp, garlicky bite, and seasoned greens that taste like they were plucked from a much brighter, more optimistic climate. They are the opening arguments, a cool, crisp misdirection before the kitchen unleashes the heavy artillery.
Then, the photographic evidence arrives. The bibimbap was delivered not on a plate, but in a black, cast-iron stone bowl hot enough to forge a counterfeit coin. This wasn't just dinner; it was a localized geological event. Look closely at the egg, resting on the summit of marinated beef and julienned vegetables like an unblinking, innocent yellow eye. It sits there, completely unaware of the searing violence about to take place. You are forced to become an accomplice, plunging your chopsticks into the center and frantically folding the raw yolk into the scorching rice before it sets. The sound is a violent, beautiful sizzle. What remains at the bottom of the bowl—the nurungji—is a structural masterpiece of caramelized desperation, a layer of scorched rice that crunches with the satisfying finality of a closed case.
To my left sat the stew. A soft tofu jjigae boiling with the sheer, unadulterated hostility of a jilted lover. It arrived actively raging in its own cauldron, spitting red, microscopic droplets of thermal warning across the table. Ordinarily, soup is meant to soothe. It is the food of convalescence. But this molten, crimson broth was a full-blown interrogation. It demanded your sweating, undivided attention. You don’t just sip it; you negotiate terms with it. Yet, beneath the fiery chili oil and the bubbling surface, the tofu itself is impossibly silken, a quiet mercy hiding in a bowl of fury.
Providing a necessary alibi to all this aggression was a plate of japchae. It’s a deceptive tangle of translucent sweet potato glass noodles, tossed with cabbage, carrots, and ribbons of beef. Slippery, slightly sweet, and aromatic with toasted sesame oil, it acts as the diplomat of the table. When your palate is exhausted from the blistering masochism of the stone bowls, the japchae pulls you back from the ledge.
Five stars. It’s an exercise in delicious, calculated trauma. In a city increasingly obsessed with foam, tweezers, and edible flowers, Manna is the only place in the neighborhood where the dinner actively, gloriously fights back.“

“My husband and I actually door dashed this on a night in while visiting San Fran. I am a huge tofu soup fan but it’s always either too spicy or just water. There is never a perfect in between… until Ollei! The spice was perfect, just a little punch without it being too over powering. And with it being door-dashed it travelled well and was still warm when it arrived. The only complaints I have was there was hardly any beef in my tofu soup and it was very oily. I cannot speak to the service or atmosphere as I never physically went to the restaurant.“

“Food is amazing. Ordered japchae, short rib soup, cheese corn, and bulgogi, all of them are very good. Japchae had good seasoning to it and balanced amount of veggies and noodles. Cheese corn is very cheesy, sweet, and have amazing cheese pull. Bulgogi is perfect balance between sweet and savory as well. My husband created bulgogi cheese corn combination that he definitely will go back for. Honestly for me, the star of the show is the short rib broth. Its one of the best broth I have ever tasted with massive amount of meat in it (they definitely did not cheap out on quality and quantity!)
The restaurant itself is nice and spacious. Just had to make sure to wear something you dont mind smelling like bbq because the moment you entered, the amazing smell greets your senses. The service though, was a bit weird. Apparently we were supposed to refill for our own water to the back? And we had to wait a bit before someone actually checked on us. It's not a deal breaker though, we would still go back and enjoy the deliciousness of their korean dishes!“

“Among the food court options at Hmart, I can only recommend two places: Daeho Galbijjim and Hong Kong Banjum. I’ve tried food from the other spots, but I wouldn’t recommend them. Especially Jung Bunsik—maybe it’s best to stay away from there!
Jajangmyeon and Jjamppong are truly the soul food of Koreans, aren’t they? I love both, but in San Francisco, it’s hard to find places that do them well consistently. The taste often varies too much. That’s why Hong Kong Banjum, with its reliably consistent flavor, is my top pick.
I recommend their Jjamppong, Tangsuyuk, and Jjajangbap!“

“Found this when I look for Korean restaurant that serve noodle soup. This restaurant is next to hospital which I think in a good location. Next to it is boba shop which I saw some customer went to the the boba shop after their meals.
The interior is very simple, with couple tables and the dishes photo all over the wall which looks inviting.
The menu is pretty complete with many varieties of Korean dishes. We order Spicy Seafood noodle soup and Stir fried noodles with black bean sauce.
They give 3 type of banchan, daikon, beansprout and kimchi. The kimchi is sweet and later I saw it is from a big jar that you can get from grocery store. I wish they make it fresh in the restaurant. At least if have it from jar, don't show the jar.
The noddle soup is yummy but not spicy. the Stir fried noodle is served with hot iron plate. the presentation is good but I just feel it is too sweet.
The server is very nice and very energetic. Only one server serves all the tables.
Overall it was ok meals. May be next time we will try other dishes and wish they make the kimchi in house.“

“Excellent food and great service. I had the Kimchi fried rice with additional spicy pork. Make sure to stir the rice for a few minutes as it comes in a stone bowl just as the name of the restaurant suggests, otherwise your bowl will burn the rice and it’ll become hard. I liked their banchan a lot personally, and during the lunch rush this place is pretty empty and I was served my food seemingly in record time. Prices were very fair. Their gyoza was pretty good. Curious about their dubu, but that’s for next time.
All in all, I will come back again and bring some coworkers. This place is so good.“

“this place has great korean food if youre not looking for a kbbq spot! we’ve come several times, and we definitely leave satiated. However, i would have liked to get side dishes with our main dishes as i’ve had in other korean restaurants before; some kimchi or pickled radishes would be great. I did ask for some fresh kimchi, but it was only brought out after asking for it, and when i tasted it, it wasnt as spicy as i expected kimchi to be.
the spicy kimchi soup (with added silky tofu) was also not very spicy; maybe my tolerance to spice has increased? 😅nonetheless, the flavor of the soup was really good. and the texture of the tofu was soo silky smooth. my brother who doesnt typically like soup, was eating it uppp.“
